I have stayed at Ibis in Sydney before and have been immensely disappointed (airport) So I booked at World Square with a certain amount of trepidation. But it was very convenient for our trip I am now very pleased that I chose that hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it and use it again. We had two double rooms and a very good breakfast was included in the price. The rooms are a good size, with good bathroom, cupboard space and fridge Excellent service on check-in and departure. Very much worth while.

The Hotel was very friendly and easy going. It was close to all that we needed, eg: banks, markets, restruants and shopsWe liked it because it was quite. We didnt go to the restruant for breakfast, lunch and dinner so cannot comment on it.View management response »

"Recommendate Hotel in Sydney"
15th September 2013, HCF339, Singapore
The hotel is centralized located, near to amenities and public transport systems such as free CBD shuttle bus, train and tram stations.Room charges are reasonable, Staff are polite and helpful.Hotel is closed to tourist attractions, park and shopping area. Different varieties of food outlets and supermarket are within the vicinity.
"Generally Cheap and Cheerful"
10th September 2013, FallsTraveller_27, Sydney, Australia
The staff at this hotel are excellent, friendly and responsive to issues. The rooms are clean and tidy but fairly old and some of the basic stuff probably needs a refresh - especially the beds (They are hard and the lights on the bed head are really annoying because its easy to bump into them changing position in the bed). The rooms probably need a bit more soundproofing (but I'm probably a little more sensitive than others to noise) Location can't be faulted and if you book it on the lower end of the price scale (closer to $100/n), it's certainly cheap and cheerful enough for most travellers.View management response »

"very good valuein the heart of the city"
9th September 2013, Monika M, Sydney, Australia
Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while attending a conference in the Hilton (too expensive to stay there). This was an excellent choice. 10 mins walk to Hilton. 5 min cab ride to star city. The hotel is basic but perfectly adequate if all you need is somewhere to shower, change and get a good night's sleep. Comfortable bed, very clean, good basic bathroom again very clean. lovely large towels. Tea and coffee. I was on the first floor and the "view" was a concrete wall which must have been the back of another building. But on the plus side it was very quiet during the night. The only negative, couldn't open the window for fresh air and the air con only had one setting 21C. It was a bit stuffy if you turned it off. Other than that, no complaints. I stayed at one of the Ibis hotels in London recently and this was much better value for the location. would recommend it if you need to stay in town.View management response »
