"Mercure Paramatta"

Ticks all the boxes and at a reasonable cost. Rooms are good, food is good and staff friendly. Parking is good andI apprecaite not being charged extra to use the horel car park! The location just to one side of the main Paramatta area is handy to all major motor ways so it is easy to base from there for travel on that side of Sydney.

The only negative was the airconditioning, far to stuffy, in the rooms. Hoever it was great to have the natural sunlight during the day.

$300 deposit when u pay in cash is too much. Room access key card didn't work at the time around 10am and counter staff was not helpful for activating the card. needed to go to concierge for activation and it didn't work again. When I told him from others room phone, he asked me again to come down again. I don't like his voice tone. Breakfast were gone at the time of 9:00 although the last time is 10:00. They made me order and made my breakfast though.

It was very convenient being close to amenities and public transport. Customer service was very friendly and helpful. It was great to come back to the hotel seeing fresh linen and other manchester so nicely folded and smelling fresh.

"A Birthday At The Races"

The weekend began with an early checkin, thanks to the staff , and changed into our slightly more formal clothing for Rosehill Races. Easily made the first race of the day as the walk over was les than 10 minutes. Had a great day in amonst the Bookys and the atmoshere. After the races we headed back to the Rosehill Bowling Club for a couple of cold ones ( which is next door to our hotel ). Retreated back to the room for a shower and change. Dined "in house" which we both thought was very average,as both mains consisted of soggy chips , and waited 40 minutes to be offered a desert menu that never came. Good old Macas across the road delivered the goods. Have stayed plenty of times before and will probably return.

"Perfect for concert and races!"

We had two nights at this hotel and combined a concert at Allphones Arena one night with a day at Rosehill Races. Hotel is perfectly placed for both. For the concert, a shuttle bus was arranged by reception staff which took us to the arena and returned us back to the hotel after - easy and hassle-free. For the races, a quick walk across the road and we were there. Excellent value given the close proximity - a lot less than you would pay in the city. We cannot fault the hotel or its location and will definitely return.

Easy check in check out, easy to find and great location. Within walking distance to Rosehill race course, great all you can eat at the bowling club just down the street.

We had an Indulgence Package and found it to be excellent value with a three course meal and buffet breakfast at the restaurant being included with the accomodation. The variety and choice in the menu and quality of the food was very good, although the service on arrival with the drinks was a bit slow. Our room was also upgraded to the top floor at no extra charge, giving us extra space, making it even quieter and affording us with a beautiful view over the Racecourse which was a lovely surprise. Our only criticism was the bath, which was a bit outdated.

"A Great Getaway"

Everything was lovely, only one little whinge is that the TV remote is a bit hard to workout, i nearly ordered a movie that i didn't want. The staff were very friendly @ polite which made our stay most pleasant.

Three nights were OK any longer I probably would look at apartment - bathrooms are getting a little tired but adequate. Aircon control could be better and responsive.

Sorry but this Hotel does not tick many boxes .if you are after location and a reasonable room .stay here ,if you are after a well run Hotel that has great service good restaurant,It just does not, offer that at all .I have stayed here several times when the half price comes up ,but only to be reminded how poorly things are run .

The hotel was easy to get to and close to public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable with plenty of room. Had an excellent nights sleep without all the noise you get in the inner city. Food in restaurant was nice and other dining options were close by.

Great deal we got with free easter show family pass and full buffet breaky...yum!!! also tennis was free at any time...only complaints was our room smelled damp,not very pleasant,we complained but had to stay in same room,also spa was only heated from 11am,so tryed to enjoy a early morning spa but could not cause it was not heated till 11am,also outdoor pool is not heated,which froze the kids...over all not bad to stay at....

"Golden Slipper stay 2012"

Booked the room in Dec 2011 when I was emailed a special for Accor hotels. Perfect location for the races and away from the ater party crowd. Very comfortable bed however room service could not provide our request as they had under catered for the race day. Apart from taht we had a great stay and the staff werer very friendly.

"Package deal for easter show"

Stayed at this hotel as a good value royal easter show package. Very pleased with the staff and service at the hotel however the cleanliness of the room was very poor, carpet very dirty, greasy finger prints over all the furniture etc. and the room smelt like washing that had been left wet for days before drying. It was actually difficult to sleep with the smell. On the positive when I did mention this at check out the gentlemen advised that they would have changed our room if we had told them earlier (silly us).

"Reasonable accommodation"

The Mercure was generally fine, no real high points or low points. There was a table in the room but no matching upright chairs to use with it. There was a single office chair, which I used at the executive desk. There was a lack of information about the local facilities (restaurants etc) in the local area and the car park has a low roof (not good if you have a large vehicle with roof racks) and the turns are tight for getting around in large vehicles. The staff were friendly and helpful.

"Thin walls, no kid menu at restaurant"

The hotel is great, with very friendly and courteous staff. The only complaints were the very thin walls and we could hear everyone and even understand the conversation from the neighboring room. My only other complaint is that when we went to the restaurant for dinner, there was not a kid's menu or much selection for young children. We inquired about getting something from the bar menu (such as a cheeseburger for our kids), and we were told that we could not bring the bar menu items into the restaurant. We decided to leave and find a more kid friendly restaurant, and the waitress seemed very rude and put out by this. The hotel desk staff were wonderful and helpful, and we extended our stay for an additional night. The room and bed were quite comfortable with plenty of room for our family of four. The location was great, close to Olympic Park. We would choose this hotel again.

"My weekend stay"

Great location with easy 20 min walk to church st Parramatta dining. Short drive to homebush sporting area or walk 5 mins to rosehill racers. Macca,s for breakfast and woolworths just accross the road cheaper then the mini bar. Great escape.
