Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Brussels Business Trip"

19th May 2012, BillJetter, Oakland, California, USA

The Novotel was a short distance from the Grand Place in Brussels with convenient access to all Brussels train stations. The hotel is great value: very clean rooms with all the amenities that a business traveler would need, including free Wi-Fi internet access. I would definitely come back here again.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Nice quality Hotel"

17th May 2012, JDRBMONS, Mons, Belgium

Very much what you would expect from a quality hotel. Nice rooms. Good internet. Mini bar. Health club looked nice but I did not use it. Nice tourist part of town.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent Novotel in Brussels"

11th May 2012, bren53Cork, cork

Stayed for 3 nights in an Exec. Room which had excellent space and everything that i needed during my first visit to Brussels. The hotel has a location which is close to all the sights of Brussels and is surrounded by many restaurants and shops. The breakfast which i had each morning had an excellent selection of hot and cold food which caters for all tastes. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anybody.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Disappointing service of our of our rooms"

29th April 2012, Kedronkids, Paris, France

We are Accor members so always try to stay in an Accor hotel. The hotel is in a perfect position and the rooms are well appointed. We stayed in a superior room - we had two rooms 432 & 532. In both rooms the shower was not very hot - room 532 was not serviced properly - no cups for tea & coffee and tea & coffee was not replenished daily - cups were paper - they stated we had quality toiletries however once again they were not replenished. We has a staff member enter our room without knocking and even enter when we had a do not disturb sign on our room.On return to our room the keys did not work so we had to get the keys reprogrammed. Our friends in 432 did not have this problem - maybe we were unlucky but as a member I would hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Double bed and twin beds = double bed and sofa bed"

22nd April 2012, pennae, Perth, Western Australia

Apparently no Novotel in Brussels offers twin rooms, and it would have been nice to know this before making our booking. We assumed that a room with "double bed and twin beds" would mean exactly that, and not be a double bed with a sofa bed. It was quite strange having to make up our own bed at a supposedly four star hotel! The room was nicely refurbished, but was missing amenities that you come to expect from a Novotel or similar starred hotel - no bathroom amenities other than shampoo, and only one paper cup with the "coffee making facilities" that did not actually include any coffee (only tea). It was a good location, though, in walking distance of the main sites of Brussels and yet far enough away to escape the tourist crowds. It's just a pity that breakfast was ridiculously expensive!

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Brussels Tour Noir"

26th March 2012, London, United Kingdom

Comfortable, quiet hotel in good location with normal Novatel fittings. Coffee and tea making facilities particularly good.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Bruxelles at Novotel"

23rd March 2012

Was a very good choiceGood to see the center , near train station nord ( 7 euro with taxi )Room is large enough space for two adults and two childrenGreat swimming pool.Near Restaurants and supermarketsI don t understand why to use a card for elevators

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Tour Noire"

17th March 2012, Tenby, United Kingdom

The recent change to free Wifi is most welcome. The new system also make connection far easier. The hotel is well situated for people like me who arrive in Brussels via Eurostar, once you have worked out how to use the pre-metro (line 3 or 4). The station Bourse is very close to the hotel.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Family weekend in Brussels"

2nd March 2012, Haarlem

Very nice hotel with central location. We stayed with four in one room, the space was adequate. Work out in the gym on Sunday morning and afterwards a dip in the pool.Parking accross the street.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Over-expensive / Mediocre service"

17th February 2012, La Garenne-Colombes

The hotel was recently refurbished. Whereas the bathrooms are significantly improved (very comfortable showers), the rest of the room appears to have been designed by an amateur would-be architect. There is plenty of void space, but no armchair. The working table is a meagre 20 cm deep tablet, on which you can hardly keep your laptop open. The canapé is wooden-hard and miniscule. The personnel is reasonably friendly (depends a lot on who you talk to) but dramatically slow and incompetent (ill trained). The breakfast is obscenely expensive and the food choice and quality definitely not in proportion of the price. You will have a hard time finding an empty table because the personnel takes ages to remove dirty plates after customers have left their table. They also have this ridiculous system where you are obliged to carry a paper ticket with you when going to breakfast. They you may, or may not be asked to provide it, with or without your room number and/or name. But you will still be asked whether you have taken a breakfast when you check out! Finally, the choice of food for room service is almost non-existent.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "good business location"

10th January 2012, simone1908, Northern England

Stayed overnight on business. Room very clean and comfortable, and hotel very handy for the metro and taxi ranks. I had the run of the fitness centre at 8 am, pity neither sauna nor steam room were operating. Slight problem with the handwriting on my room card, tried the wrong room three times before I realised I had mistaken a 5 for a 3 (it was quite late)! You know what you are getting with a Novotel, so on that basis, would certainly stay again.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Bad value for money - poor service"

27th September 2011, Sao Paulo, Brazil

I was very disappointed with this Novotel.I have stayed in many other Accor's hotels, in other countries, including Novotels, those previous experiences set my expectation at high a level. However, this Novotel has an Ibis service level (or maybe worst?).The installations are very good and modern, but I found some dirty towels during my stay. The location could better (far from the train stations). The front desk is the main issue at this hotel, if there was no one there it would be better. On top of that, some of the receptionists don't even talk a proper english.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good standard central hotel, but don't pay for the breakfast!"

4th September 2011, London, United Kingdom

Hotel in a handy central location, not the most scenic or upmarket, but easy to get to main attractions on foot, and area was a little lively but didn't feel unsafe. My top floor room had a fantastic view of the church next door, and was very clean and comfortable. Had a shower but not a bath, TV with some English channels but no radio, and limited room service menu. Got a half price room deal due to refurbishment taking place but was advised of this in advance and this was well managed - no noise or disruption to stay. Do not pay for the breakfast buffet! It's 20 Euros and not great quality. You can get something nicer for less in cafes nearby like Paul just round the corner.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Average"

2nd September 2011, Toronto

Stayed at the Novotel in August. As a Novotel front desk employee in North America I was slightly put-off by the service I received at the front desk upon check-in. Apparently passport numbers are a standard in Belgium that I was not aware of. Rather than explain to me the reasoning when I questioned why my passport number is required, the gentleman at the desk said, 'well that's the way it is in Belgium.' Aside from that, close walk to train station and Grand Place. Bed was comfortable and quiet. Only complaint is that the toilet (which is separate from the shower area) doesn't have enough light. When the door is closed there is a very dungeon-like feel.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Perfect stay in Brussels"

27th August 2011, Austin

Our four-night stay was perfect! The hotel is extremely clean and rooms are very comfortable. Arriving by train at the Central Station, it was a short 5-minute walk to the hotel. Several subway stops are also very nearby. Located in an extremely quiet neighborhood, it is only a couple minute walk from the busy-ness of the Grand Place. There were several computers in the lobby, free for guests. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good rooms, great location"

16th August 2011, Berlin

The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from Grand Place and is close to many other interesting Brussels sites. We were delighted with the convenience of its location. It is about 25-30 mins walk to Midi station for those arriving/leaving by train. It's much closer to Gare Centrale but the intercity trains don't stop there. The hotel room was very comfortable and had been modernised very nicely. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom excellent. The only negatives were that the safe was too small to accommodate my PC and the water in the shower varied in temperature a little during the shower. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. We would stay there again. I am an A-Club member and got the booking here on a special A-Club offer so the value was spectacular (about 50 euros a night).

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice rooms good location"

14th August 2011, Trondheim

Clean, newly renovated hotel with great location. Still find it astonishing that a business hotel like Novotel do not offer free wi-fi. Especially at the room rate they operate with. Service was good, but they are renovating the lobby. I had a high-floor room and was not mutch affected

The hotel is located at a very good location, few minutes away from the subway and walking distance to Grand Place.Well designed & well maintain. However the BIGGEST Downside, No Free Wifi in room.A very turn off especially everyone expect Free Wifi at Hotels

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel for city centre"

5th August 2011, harrogate

Stayed in a newly modernised room for 2 nights.Hotel is nice and handy for city centre, underground/trams and many fine restaurants and bars. Tips buy a daily bus, tram & underground ticket at 4 euros 50 cents from shops or at tourist information and visit Atomium and nearby park.If you want to see money thrown away also visit the EU village with masses of office blocks and new marble palace for when it takes the world over.Nice hotel but nearby streets have many people sleeping rough and the city was not one of my favourites-rather dirty with doorways smelling of urine from drunks sleeping there. Some hassle from beggars but did not feel unsafe at night.Breakfast at 20 euros each is a joke and very few seemed to bother with coffee and pastries available less than 100m away for less than 4 euros in cafe's and bars.

Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A pleasant sojourn in Brussels"

5th August 2011, Paris

Well situated: close to a metro station and buses and several good restaurants (unfortunately, the hotel's restaurant was closed for refurbishement and an evening meal in a nearly deserted bar - first night - was rather depressing, despite good quality food and a pleasantly but not overly attentive barman; meals in other Accor hotels I've visited have usually been good). The reception staff were very helpful, patient and good-tempered despite the noise generated by the work being done in various parts of the hotel - I doubt I would have remained as calm in such circumstances. Computer availabity in reception area a plus.
