"Rubbish"

Very disapointed. The hotel sold my room because I was late checking in, and made no attempt to aid my situation. Though I was flying from the far east (Thailand) and was not able to inform them of my late arrival. When contacted, promised to phone me back but did not, leaving me to find another hotel. i am not a happy bunny.

Ibis Coventry south was excellent value for money the room was clean and warm, bed very comfortable breakfast excellent staff helpful and friendly check in quick and easy as was checkout Hotel has a large carpark and was easy to find . .

This hotel is very hard to find if a stranger to Coventry - the post code is no -where near the hotel by Sat Nav - easier to find by road and nearby "Leaf Lane ".on the Sat Nav.The final part of the journey to the hotel is via a complicated roundabout, and exit which can easily be missed.

"Week-End NEC visit"

Chosen for great access to the NEC Birmingham, 15 min drive with no congestion on Sat&Sun morning - so would definitely use again for this purpose.Travelled with my Father who has used Ibis hotels throughout Europe many times and he said it would be clean but basic and he was correct, so I felt good value for money.Shower good and plenty of hot water and heating.Quiet if somewhat industrail location but be put off by this as a bar was available in the evenings.Breakfast in morning better than expected with full range (cooked, ham, cheese, croisants, toast, cereals, juices,fresh fruit, youghart using known brand quality products - and all you can eat and drink avalable in very clean surroundings a credit to the staff who were very friendly and attentive - couldn't ask for more at this price.

This little hotel is clean, warm., tidy, friendly - no luxury but then you wouldn't expect it at the price! The new beds are a great improvement and the food in the restaurant was very good.Beware - the sat.nav. had problems with the postcode, but road signage was adequate.

Bit hidden away. But when located clean and tidy, nice reception and clean room. Heater on but soon sorted, Downside wildlife seem to wait for rubbish in bins then remove it, Notice to Hotel put lids on bins. Breakfast very good staff helpful

This is a budget hotel and adequate for the needs based on that. Room was clean and tidy as was bathroom. Walls are thin and you can hear people in next rooms and above. Breakfast was ok.

Good nights sleep, rooms clean, hotel is looked after, however heating system non existent, simple convector heater.

"Not a normal Ibis"

Avoid this hotel if you want a normal Ibis. This is second rate by any standards. The accommodation block is separate from the bar/reception area (which is shown in the picture) and is old, damp, dirty, smelly (smoke) and has poor heating (and no air conditioning). The rooms open direct onto an exposed walkway with the only window in the room facing the walkway giving the chance for everyone to look in or requiring the curtains to be permanently shut.The staff were very friendly and attentive but the accommodation block is not of a standard acceptable for Ibis.

"Good ibis"

An older US style Ibis hotel with bedrooms detached from the main reception. However, security is excellent with sound fencing, multiple cameras and good sight-lines.Rooms were very clean and fresh. Temp control was very good as were amenities and facilities. No real restaurant but a bar and chair/table seating area served 24 hours a day with ready meals - more than adequate.Breakfast is very good - full cooked or conti + as much as you can eat. great sausages.

"University visit"

Used this on a visit to Univeristy of Warwick with son. Handy, good location and good price. The buffet breakfast was good value, half price at £3.50 per head as it was booked on-line. I would stay here again. Directions to the hotel when on the final approaches could be better. I had to ask at the nearby Jaguar car plant how to find it.

"Freezing Cold Dirty Rooms"

The room has a very noisy fan heater that probably couldn't heat a broom cupboard, carpets, seating stained, general walkways not clean or tidy, terrible nights sleep!!!Please note I stay in hotels regularly and have never felt the need to write a review before but on this hotel felt compelled to do so.Why there is not adequate heating for the room is beyond me - the only good thing is that I wasn't staying there with my family (two young children).

"great value"

This was our second visit to this hotel. Again we had a clean, comfy bedroom. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and nicely presented. The staff could not have been more helpful, and we would happily recommend this hotel.
