"Mecure Tresury Gardens"
21st May 2012, Gold Coast
Excellent service, good size rooms for Melbourne, the hotel is really easy to access with subsidised parking a short walk away. The beautiful Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens are directly across the road for the health conscious. Close to CBD for business travellers. Only negative was the lack of a desk light made working at the desk in the evening a little difficult.
"Always happy staying at Mercure Spring Street Melbourne"
21st May 2012, MojcaUros, Adelaide, Australia
I've been staying at the Sprint Street, Melbourne Mercure for over 2 years, ever since it's been renovated and I have always been happy with the service and price. Since the renovation I look forward to coming back and always use it for my business trips to Melbourne and have been using it for my prive trips as well. It's great value for a very good location and service provided.Keep up the good work.Regards,Mojca

"Mercure Treasury Gardens"
17th May 2012, wilbywilby, Geelong, Australia
The hotel staff were really great and helpful. The rooms are quite small but as we were not spending much time at the hotel it was perfect for us. Very convenience location for our Dancesport Competition near Rod Laver Arena.
"Why??"
14th May 2012, Blackhatdave, Brisbane, Australia
Stayed at the mercure in Spring St for the first time; service was efficient and friendly, nice breakfast in the dining room and my room was quiet, clean and comfortable. All amazing value...(my advantage plus card helped there..). Well done :o) In the past I've paid 3+ times what I paid at the Mercure in Melboune.. I'll be back with colleagues in tow next time! :)
"Great location"
12th May 2012, Melbourne
A great location, close to transport, entertainment, sports events and restaurants. Still in the CBD but away from the hustle and bustle and with a great garden outlook.
"Great anniversary"
11th May 2012, daemonic666, Warrnambool, Australia
As it was our first wedding anniversary, we were wanting something easy going and comfortable. The service at reception (both check-in and check-out) was to the point, which was appreciated. The restaurant/bar service and food was excellent, as we ate their each night. While the weather over the weekend wasn't spectacular, as we were close to the centre of the city, we were able to get around easily enough on the public transport available. In all, a great experience.
"Mercure treasury garden - lovely hotel, disappointed in bed."
10th May 2012, anna_2173, Melbourne, Australia
Lovely hotel, good service. A little disappointed with the bed - couldn't snuggle due to being 2 singles joined and a little uncomfortable down the middle. Other than that all was good.
"Central, clean, spacious"
4th May 2012, Kricket53, Perth, Australia
Stayed here the week of ANZAC, arrived at 10pm, fast friendly check-in. Room was spacious, enough room to put our 100's of shopping bags. Got room service once, it was brought quickly & tasted great.Plenty of bench space to put makeup, wallets, bags etc. Comfy bed (quite firm) and pillows were good. The shower was huge, could fit 2 people easily and had a high shelf so you dont have to stick your shampoo on the ground.Only downfall is the shower leaks onto the rest of the bathroom, also not much bench space on the bathroom sink. The lighting was average, one down light in the entryway, 2 bedside lamps and thats all. It was hard to put makeup on at night. I didnt hear other guests much, only in the mornings. We didnt have the breakfast so cant comment on that.Close to the free city tram, walking distance to the MCG, into Bourke St Mall, to ACMI, Flinders St Station. I would definitely stay here again & recc'd to friends.
"Weekend getaway"

NIcely refurbished room, close to transport, shops, sporting venues, good value. Beds were just a bit hard.
"holiday"
29th April 2012, tew28, Launceston, Australia
upon arrival we were asked for $100 this on top of our pre-paid reservation (to cover the produce in the overpriced mini bar which we do not use).after sorting this issue out we receive our key to room 316(a king room with views of MELBOURNE;s vibrant cbd ) thats what the brochure states, imagine our shock to look out the window and see a wall and cooling-water towers of the hotel .just like the night staff said there's some dishonest people about.

Management responseThank you booking the Mercure Melbourne and updating your comments on Tripadvisor. We strive to ensure all guests have a great stay and I sincerely apologise that you were disappointed on this occasion. While the hotel has two aspects, one towards the Treasure Gardens and the other facing the city, it is true that the higher floors get the broader views. I agree we have to be careful that our room descriptions create realistic expectations for our customers and to this end we will review the collateral.Should you allow us the opportunity to assist with your accommodation needs in the future, please feel free to contact me directly, and I will be more than happy to ensure a pleasant stay.Yours SincerelyPhil O’BrienGeneral ManagerMercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens

"Bites"
26th April 2012, SherieMike, Gold Coast
While staying at our hotel, my partner and myself both awoke with bites on our arms and legs, as there were only a few on our first night we dismissed the bits, after our second night stay we both woke with more bites and my partner had more than double than the night before. Upon checking out we advised the clerk and management of the bites (not requesting a discount, just wanting to ensure staff were aware that there is something in the room biting) only to have the staff act like they did not believe my partner, (stating "there are no reports of bed bugs in your room" - I believe the 12 bites on one arm are proof enough that something is in the room biting)The bites have turned us off ever staying at this hotel and we will not be recommending this hotel. A sad way to end what was otherwise a pleasurable stay.

Management responseDear Accor TravelerThank you for booking the Mercure Melbourne and sincere apologies your experience was not a pleasant one.Your health and wellbeing is our primary concern and any issue such as yours is thoroughly investigated and vigilantly followed up by myself personally. I apologise also that this was not communicate well at the front desk. As we discussed on the phone, it was certainly pleasing to hear that you were feeling well and had suffered no ongoing effects. As mentioned, I have had an independent professional assess the room in order to ascertain the cause of your bites. After a thorough investigation his report has categorically ruled out bed bugs and indicated that whatever it was, was no longer in the room. More than likely it was removed with the clothing or sheeting. While we can only speculate with the evidence at hand as to the cause of the bites, rest assured we have strict protocols and procedures in place to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. As agreed I look forward to welcoming you back and the opportunity to restore your faith in our hotel.Phil O’BrienGeneral Manager

"Highly recommend"
25th April 2012, timtam2011, Melbourne, Australia
my first trip solo to Melbourne, found everything of a high standard, from the moment I checked in....asked if I needed a map of the city, tram stop just out side...to room service and finally checkout. Extended my stay and was delighted to find that this motel has a 2 pm checkout on a Sunday.
"perfect access to MCG Art gallery"
25th April 2012, louise284, Hobart, Australia
Renovated room ,soundproof yet with a balcony for fresh air and view. Liked the en- suite. Most reno. bathrooms insist on retaining bath. More suitable to have walk in shower -safer.The evening receptionist was very helpful, organised airport bus in a flash.
"Convenient to the MCG"
23rd April 2012, canberra
Nice hotel on the small side and pleasant and comfortable. Perfect for access to the MCG. Staff were friendly and helpful for the main. Was unable to secure an early check-in which was unfortunate as I have a temporary bad back and was needing to lie down. However, staff did check our bags which helped. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Probably make it my hotel of choice when attending the MCG.
"Melbourne trip"
23rd April 2012, Diana219, Adelaide, Australia
The hotel is in a great location for exploring the cbd as the city circle tram is right outside. The room was clean and comfortable, only the bathroom is a little on the small side and dont like the glass door on it as my daughter was convinced that we could see in. All in all it was good value for money and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Would definately stay again when in Melbourne.
"Enjoyable stay."

Hotel has recently been refurbished. Rooms are nicely done and location is great for what I want. Through Le Club the prices are unbeatable compared to other hotels in the vicinity.

"Great staff, great value, wi-fi needs sorting"
16th April 2012, Newbie83, Newcastle, Australia
The staff were friendly and very helpful, the food in the in-house restaurant excellent; room very nice, bathroom tiny but good quality, location handy to everything. Would give 5 stars if not for the dinosaur-like internet service: $10 for 2 hours and then I was cut off after 15 minutes! Wi-fi should be part of the tariff these days.
"great stay"
13th April 2012
Great hotel will definitely stay again. Good location with tram stop right outside. One issue though was the size of the bathroom.... it was tiny!
"Great little hotel."
13th April 2012, JKKPShepparton, Shepparton
The rooms were small, but as we were only there to sleep it was not a problem. However it was clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained which was good. The hotel was within walking distance of most places we wanted to visit. The staff were well mannered and very helpful. We would not hesitate to stay with this hotel again.
