Nice, efficient, elegant hotel. HAd no complaints at all, except maybe a little too soft beds. Very nice rooms, good view from the rooftop swimmingpool, excellent service. Would consider it again.

Excellent service and staff very helpful. Great buffet dinner and breakfast. Even though its a bit far from shops and restaurants, shuttle bus service is offered free of charge, and only AUD 2-3 for a taxi. Pool a necessity for humidity in HCMC and fabulous city views from the pool/bar area. Excellent business centre with free internet access. Gym also good, but make sure you bring runners - open toe rubber sandals not sufficient. Late check-out appreciated. Highly recommended, especially great value if you are an Accor/A-club member.

"Best Club Lounge I have been to"

My wife and I have stayed in Sofitel and Novotel hotels in Thialand, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bejing and in most Australian cities. The quality of service we experienced, especially in the club lounge at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza was excellent. The value for money generally and quality of the restaurants was and the staff was great.The gym and spa facilities were also very good.We changed our travel itinery and returned to Saigon for the last 3 days of our trip. "Luxurious rest stop in HCMC"

The Sofitel was an excellent choice. The location in District 1 was convenient and attractive. Saigon attractions were nearby. The lobby staff was outstanding! I will definitely stay here again.If you are worried about getting into a taxi scam at the airport, the Sofitel will send a car and charge the $50.00 USD to your room. However, a standard taxi will cost less than $20.00. We took their car from the airport and a cab back to the airport.

"Needs renovation"

sofitel is a good brand but Sofitel Saigon is not the quality I would expect. The hotel needs a lot spent on it. Twenty years ago I am sure it would have been one of the best in the city but it has not kept up and both bedrooms and breakfast area need a total revamp. The carpet in our room was cream and showed all the dirty marks of the years it had been there. In places it was dark brown. With the Sofitel you expect quality of environment and we were disappointed. All that said the service at the hotel was excellent. However there are better options at this price in Saigon.

"Fantastic property"

We are Accor Advantage Plus members and enjoyed staying at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza. We were met at the airport by the hotel driver in a new mercedes benz and chaufered to the property. We also utilised the spa, (highly recommend the bamboo scrub) rooftop pool and bar and had lovely dinner in the french restaurant.Thank you for a fantastic, relaxing stay.

Great brand, great hotel, great services. Is our second time we stayed at Sofitel Ho Chi Minh, both time was great, look forward to staying there again next time we visit HCM. Clean room, best of all roof top pool our son loved it. Buffet lunch & dinner could be better, but the restaurant was excellent.

Excellent room and service in central location. Stayed in A1 'Club room' which was very comfortable and well furnished. Club lounge attendants charming and helpful with light snacks and drinks available all day. A LA carte breakfasts were cooked to order and well presented. Main dining facility was uninspiring, as was its menu. Great rooftop pool with bar for drinks and food to order. Main dining facility reason for reducing hotel rating

I love the hotel interior, very zen and even the resto is so relaxing and cool, the staffs service are so accomodating and friendly, the big pool and gym looks nice. The location is not really far, accessible thru walking or taxi, resto is 5 minutes away .

Service was friendly and polite. Excellent room, clean well serviced and spacious.Close to amenities and very good security.Restaurants and bar area are well serviced and again the staff in these areas are very polite and all speak good English.

My husband and I spent one luxurious night at the Sofitel Saigon in a Club Lounge Suite on level 18. Private check in in the lounge and a tour of our luxurious suite room with twin basin bathroom and L'occtaine bath products. We were able to have free drinks, high tea, cocktails and evening snacks from the lounge during our entire stay and invite guests for $10US to have high tea with us. Were invited to the owner's private party next to the pool on New Year's Eve to watch the fireworks and purchase drinks from the bar and also were able to invite guests. It was our 10yr wedding anniversary and when mentioned in the booking, we were sent a complimentary chocolate mousse cake with "Happy Anniversary" written on it. Overall, an excellent and luxurious overnight stay! Will definitely come back again!

"Aussie Family Stay in Jan 2012"

We stayed at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza for two nights in Jan 2012 and were pleased at the overall service and standard of the hotel. We ate at the two main restaurants and were very happy with quality and wide range of food served.The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious and clean.The facilities at the hotel were excellent, especially the spa and the rooftop pool.The only slightly negative point is possibly the hotel is a little tired and maybe needs a refurbishment in the near future, but otherwise it is very good value for money and well located.

Good hotel with great pool overlooking city but not sure hotel shared area and rooms up to Sofitel's high standards.Good location and generally staff quite helpful. Restaurant in hotel expensive for Vietnam and not the usual Sofitel highest possible standards.

This was a first time I stayed in this luxury hotel, I love it and it's really a right choice. Every thing was perfect and so beautiful, I spend a New Year Eve there, on the night every one was invited to the 18th floor to watch a fire work and sharing the 1st minute of the New year, so wonderful and unforgetable. I will try my best to go to Vietnam at least once a year and of course I definily stay in Sofitel the all time for leisure.Thanks very much for every thing.
