Novotel Phan Thiet Ocean Dunes & Golf Resort hotel

If first impressions count, this resort ticks all the boxes. After the 5 hour train journey from HCMC, we were greeted at the hotel warmly and escorted through for lunch. The scene by the pool, with the lush green grass, frangipani's, hammocks and Beach Bar, was a welcoming sight.Our week long stay was relaxing for us, as our 9 year old twins were kept occupied by the two pools and the various activities available. Table Tennis, Table Football, Billiards, Wii, tennis, badminton etc all available with a helpful staff member ready to play with them.The breakfast buffet was fantastic with both western and asian options to choose from. By the end of our stay, we too were eating spring rolls, stir-fry noodles and Pho for breakfast, (along with a few cholcolate croissants), it was just all so enticing. Our compliments to the chef!The Beach Bar was a favourite place for us. You couldn't find a more idealic location with the ocean lapping the beach and the lights from the fishing boats sailing past.As it wasn't busy, we were upgraded to a large ocean-view room, which had a king bed, bunks and a fold-out couch, not to mention the balcony, dining table, desk, coffee table and large bathroom. We couldn't have been happier.The staff were ever helpful and so friendly and wonderful with the kids. They definitely helped make this a great resort. The pool boys, the bar staff, the doormen, the restaurant staff and Jan.....all wonderful.My husband played golf a number of times during our stay and loved it. He found it to be a great course and the caddies were fantastic.He played one day also at the nearby SeaLinks resort, and found that excellent and challenging but a little more expensive. The kids and I headed to the pool via SeaLinks reception, and after about 3 attempts at explaining my husband was playing golf and we'd like to use the pool, they eventually were happy for us to be there. It seems that they will charge you to use the pool if you are not a guest (fair enough) but as my husband was golfing it was free for us.The free shuttle bus to nearby Mui Ne was great and provided an easy outing for shopping, dinner or beauty treatments.We had a fantastic holiday, and hope to return someday. We will definitely recommend this resort to others.

"Very good location but old room"

The location is very good! I love the bar facing the sea. Nice decoration. But I do not happy with the room: too small & old facility. Hotel must renovate room system. Manager should check procedure of pillow cover cleaning. When I received the room, I had to order to change the pillow cover because it was smelly. After the staff change the cover right in front of my eyes, but it is still not have a good smell as it should be.

First of all for delay response. I've known about this hotelis quite long, I had repeatedly to Phan thiet, but this is my first time to stay in the hotel.On the location of the hotel ia quite nice and convenient.Receptionist quite profesional and friendly. The room is normal. The pity is that the beach is not convenient because too many stones so very sore feet. This is probably the most unfavorable of hotel. Breakfast is delicios, the view ia quite nice.

"What a pleasure!"

OMG, absolutely wonderful, did not want to go, next time we would like to stay there our whole holiday, yes, just there at Novotel Phan Thiet.. The food, the property, the staff and the drinks, I want to live there! Beautiful.

"My stay at ocean dunes Phan Thiet"

While I found my trip there during the Tet holiday with my extended family was great one and the dragon bar is absolute a great new thing, I think it is time for the resort to upgrade the facilities. Plus, I do not like the way lobster being distributed during the Sat buffet. Maybe you should consider increase the price ....
