ibis London Barking: 4.0 out of 5 stars "service"

10th May 2012, alom4n4, London, United Kingdom

everything was ok except the receptionist. I was shocked when she said its not allowed to use for outside food. please try to understand everyone have own choice food and ur restaurant's food is not enough.

ibis London Barking: 5.0 out of 5 stars "The staff at this hotel."

25th April 2012, wendy461843, Hunstanton, United Kingdom

This hotel is a joy to stay at. Despite being close to a major road the noise was slight. it had quiet corridors not to many people running around. I am disabled, and it has easy access with parking. The staff are wonderful and far exceed any other Ibis I have stayed at. They made my stay a relaxing experience and I felt safe. The hotel is modern with slight wear and tear but it is clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff went out of their way to help me and did not make me feel i was a nuisance. i would recommend to anybody.

ibis London Barking: 4.0 out of 5 stars "First time in an Ibis"

16th March 2012, Doncaster, United Kingdom

The Hotel, not having stayed in an Ibis before, was I suppose as expected. Slightly more upmarket than the Etap we had been in. We needed somewhere in that area and for the price we paid was very good value. Breakfast was the usual self service buffet but had enough choice to keep you happy I thought. Only downside was the fire alarm going off att 4.30am.We would have no problem in staying in an Ibis hotel again (good, look out for a review from the one in Melbourne later this year).

ibis London Barking: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Did not meet my Expectation and wasn't Worth the price..."

10th February 2012, Portsmouth, United Kingdom

I have always rated Ibis Hotel as a Good one before I actually stayed in one. I was expecting a three star hotel with excellent customer service and nice breakfast and meals but instead I got a TWO STAR rated Hotel which is more compared to a "Guest House", Meal quality is less than average because I would have preferred a takeaway meal better, and customer service was not met at all (Beyond average). -No help of any kind,-Room assistance equal zero,-Meal equipments such as tea cup and spoons was dirty, (Because I had to notify the staffs about tea/coffee stains left on mugs, there was no spoons available for tea and the re was no organisation of things. ),-Ironing equipment was bad as one wasn't working and the other hardly pressed my clothes and Ironing board was bad,-The toilet looked more like a trains toilet but cleaner,-TV Quality was minimal and small and less channels,Finally, I had there wasn't any information on the booked that said paid parking, But the only good thing about this place was it has a perfect location and its was well ventilated and had a convenient environment. Generally, I would say for the discounted price, it wasn't worth it because I had a better offer with travellodge but because they mention paid parking on their advert I then chose IBIS because I was made to think it was Free parking.

ibis London Barking: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Bad Bed & Bad Room Carpet."

26th September 2011, London, United Kingdom

Bed was really bad. I think managers of Ibis should go to other hotels and see how comfortable beds are in Premier Inn,Travelodge and other budget hotels.Very cheap single layer mattress on wooden plank.....Not Good for couples and peoples with back pains. I want to suggest to Ibis to change all their mattress to 10 inch pocket sprung mattress.Room Carpets are also a issue, feels very cheap & thin layer and not comfortable to walk on it. Not good .... Staff are really friendly and good customer service.

Was astonished that my credit card number was printed in full on all documents for all to see at the check out desk. This should not happen. Security on these issues needs investigation. Please inform me of your procedure and why this happens.

ibis London Barking: 3.0 out of 5 stars "London Ibis Barking"

26th May 2011, Birmingham

The London Ibis in Barking, East London, is a standard Accor 'Ibis' brand hotel. It is clean, relatively new, has a restaurant and bar, internet access (for an additional charge),free car parking, etc.. However, it is let down by it's location. Although I was informed that it is 'near' Barking Underground station, it is in fact a taxi (or bus) ride away. (The hotel's internet 'directions' are, as allways, entirely for the benifit of those arriving by car!) The hotel is located adjacent to a major road - so traffic noise is also an 'issue' On the night that I stayed the restaurant was very busy and the resulting food and service quality was very poor.

ibis London Barking: 1.0 out of 5 stars "A budget hotel..."

19th May 2011, York

Nothing special, stay here if you can't afford a decent place. Beds are uncomfortable boards with thin matresses on.... Close to major roads so traffic noise is an issue, very hot ambient temperature in hotel in general and room onlt has a hot air blower no aircon so approaching summer window needs to be open to get a comfortable temp which makes the road noise worse. Avoid.

No frills, basic accomodation. Parking available and affordable.Staff helpful.Proximity to rail/ underground bearable for walking.Rooms quiet in spite of being close to car traffic artery.Easy to reach by car without driving in the cityGood alternative if closer-in, more convenient locations are full or too-expensive
