ibis Edinburgh Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Perfect location, clean and very good value for the cost"

25th February 2013, K H, Hartford, Connecticut, USA

In the heart of the Royal Mile just walking out the front door of the hotel. Very clean rooms. Great staff. Only complaint would be rooms are a tad on the warm side but with windows open you can sometimes hear folks on the street. We would stay again.

Have used this as a pied a terre in Edinburgh for year.It has friendly staff ,comfortable accomodation at a reasonable price for this city and superb location off the Royal Mile yet only five minutes from Waverley Station down the Fruitmarket steps.Highly recommended

ibis Edinburgh Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good but lacks in personal service"

10th February 2013, IntrepidWalker, Buckinghamshire

The rooms was very clean; reception efficient. One night at 11pm I called reception saying I had a terrible neck ache and in pain and could he get me inbuprofen or paracetamol. He said ' We are not allowed to dispense medicines'! Put the phone down and spent the night in agony. I was disappointed that there was no empathy or concern for the guest!I will not be staying at Ibis for this reason in future.

ibis Edinburgh Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel and excellent location"

5th February 2013, Tetr0de, Bristol, United Kingdom

Stayed End January one night for GBP44. Clean and comfortable room and friendly and helpful staff. Good comfortable bed. Room had fairly basic facilities including small 4:3 ratio TV and limited range of broadcast channels. (TV menu was biased toward pay-TV, with several menu steps needed to reach broadcast channels)

ibis Edinburgh Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "reliable"

23rd January 2013, Cowes, United Kingdom

Ibis Edinburgh. Does what you might expect in terms of room quality, service, breakfasts and that is why its a pleasure - if you follow. The location is pretty hard to beat and actually great if you have to get to the airport - the express 100 service is at the bottom Cockburn Street a very short walk. Some great nearby restaurants plus some cheapo cafes (not so good)Can be noisy in Hunter Square and the access to the hotel lift with swipe card can be annoying. Of course prices vary according to season so no comment there - it depends is the answer. Rooms often don't have much of a view but its city centre...

ibis Edinburgh Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "just one problem"

12th January 2013, Sarah1G, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

Excellent location, friendly staff, room ok bathrooms bit dated but were actually getting refurbished whilst we were there. A letter in the room stated building/noisy work would not start till after 11am sunday, however we were woke at 8.30am afer a late night. I rang reception who apologised and said they would stop it. The noise contiuned and we couldnt sleep so returned home from a weekend away very tired!!!

ibis Edinburgh Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Our stay in Edinburgh"

10th January 2013, Melbourne, Australia

The Ibis was very central to everything, it was clean, breakfast buffet was very good, staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend thie Ibis for a budget accommodation stay, that is central and walking distance to all major attractions.

ibis Edinburgh Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Value and location"

9th January 2013, Bondy_13, Purley, United Kingdom

Done the job for a weekend where you are not in theh room much. Good location near the castle and lots of bars etc all easy walking distance. Rooms small but had everything you need.Very friendly and helpful staff, 24 hour reception and food service. Only downside was it was quite noisey/thin walls. Would definitely stay again on a short trip to Edinburgh.

ibis Edinburgh Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Reliable as always!"

3rd January 2013, MrsSMP, Galashiels, United Kingdom

Have stayed at this hotel a few times now, when we go to gigs or see family in Edinburgh. It is a budget hotel, but it is well worth the money - it is always clean, and they don't mind us bringing our dog! Also there is a bar area to have a drink. The staff are always very friendly. Please don't expect 5 star service as it is a budget hotel, but I have always found it to be a clean, friendly, welcoming place and exceeds expectations of a budget hotel in my opinion.

ibis Edinburgh Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Hotel Edinburgh - City Visit"

21st December 2012, Gerard M, Dublin, Ireland

The hotel is situated in a very good location for viewing the Old Town and is also near to Waverley Station. I found the staff in the hotel to be friendly and helpful. While the hotel rooms are not large, they are clean and well maintained. Overall, I found the hotel to be good value for the price charged.
