"Mercure Hotel Koblenz"

Nice hotel, only about 10 minutes from the old town of Koblenz. The room was clean. There were no tissues in the box on the first day, but they were replaced the second day without being asked. The toiletries were restricted to soap and shampoo - not so good as Mercure Koln.We had an excellent meal at a reasonable price in the hotel on one night and breakfasts were also excellent.I booked the cheapest two night non-cancellable offer for €248 and was somewhat disappointed to find the equivalent room rate advertised at reception was €232.

My "business package" was expensive for what I received. The WiFi has a long procedure and took time to get into. The breakfast was copiuos, if you wanted that, but the quality was generally poor. The last time I stayed there some bread was "green", but I got no apology. the young girl cooking was ready to serve eggs that were cracked and poorly cooked (not to me). The teapots are a disaster! somebody will get burned one day.I changed my room on the 8th floor. It smelt vaguely of smoke, but that was not enough to put me off. It was the fact that the "deadlock" on the door would not close, and it was obvous that the door had been "forced".

An excellent stay with my daughter. Great location with great views over the Rhine. Full marks except for the mini gym/sauna. There were just 2 pieces of equipment and 2 lounges to relax by the sauna. Seems very inadequate for a large hotel.

Price for the rooms are too high. For those price I can stay in a 5* hotel in a bigger room. The size of the rooms regarding to the class are poor. I would recommend this hotel only when the room prices are reduced.

We stayed for 1 night Koblenz is very pretty and hotel is ideally located for the town. Lovely restuarants and adjacent to the Rhine - we took a cruise from there. Would stay at this hotel again. Family room was great size and very comfortable - we upgraded for slightly larger room with river view and was worth the extra charge

Comfortable room in modern hotel in a good riverside location.It is possible to walk along the river in a pleasant situation. Helpful staff. Parking available in an underground public car park.Food very good, international style.

The location of the hotel, next to the Rhine, a whine village and the Bundes-Garten-Show made it a great base to be out and about in Koblenz last weekend. The Rhine cruise boats were also within walking distance. Rooms are with a great view over the river.

Hotel is situated nicely for the BUGA. The room was clean and the bathroom had nice soaps and gels . Breakfast buffet was very good, one of the best I have ever seen. The bar had a good variety of local wines. The staff were all friendly. All in all a nice stay.

Outstanding, professional, and friendly staff. Would like to see or change to following: 1. Additional english speaking TV programs would be nice. 2. Softer pad on your ironing board so not to put marks on your clothes. 3. Improvements to your fitness room. leemaston@earthlink.net

We stay in Easter time in this hotel. Location only 3 min walk from center of Koblenz and 1 min boardwalk during Rhein. All staff was very helpfull. Breakfast very good. For 4 star hotell rooms and cleanliness was exelent . I find all Mercury hotels where I stay very very good. The best rooms are on top floors !! Koblenz is "sehenswert". Stay min 2 nights!

Typical Accor standard, well established hotel, very helpful staff. Great for families needing 2nd room. Our requests were met - interconnecting rooms etc. By the river, short walk to old town. Free internet available from 2 terminals in lobby.

We went to Koblenz at the opening weekend fur the "Bundesgartenschau" in April 2011 and stayed at the Mercure, because we had been their before several years ago. Our expectations were met, apparently the hotel has been renovated in 2009 or so. Except for a slight misunderstanding regarding the booked room category (which was resolved to my full satisfaction) there is nothing negative to say. We had booked a "privilege" room which should have been on the 9th or 10th(top) floor. Instead we were given a regular room on the 8th floor, but with the added amenities of the higher room class (bath robes, bottled water, fruit, late checkout till 16:00). What we did not get was the daily newspaper and the room did not have a coffee or tea maker. When asked about that they immediately reduced the bill to the standard room rate - very forthcoming.Breakfast was good and is served from 6:30 to 10:30 (11:00 at weekends) in the hotel restaurant where we also had a very good dinner one night. The cocktail bar was a little deserted, but certainly not due to personnel or the drinks.To sum it up, we would definitely stay there again.

Room was clean and comfortable; Wireless internet service worked well; This hotel is located very near the Rhine and has easy access to the walking path along the river. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay in Koblenz. Hotel ideally placed for the old town and Christmas markets. Will definitely visit again.
