Novotel Batam: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice Cosy Hotel to spend the little getaway"

This is my first choice hotel whenever I go Batam. Other than the lack of choice of eatery around the area, there is nothing much more I can complain about. One good thing is that they had recently provide shuttle bus to BCS, only that the frequency is kinda too little.

the hotel was not bad, but the bed is not so soft, i think it's probably time to change the bed. its location is near to harbor bay ferry, and this is just opposite pacific place hotel, but i can't believe it the taxi even in the hotel is horribly expensive.. to go to harbor bay ferry it costs 40,000 rp, and it was super near, probably only 5 mins drive!! and also they have the shuttle but the shuttle only to send, no pickups. I think batam taxis are horribly expensive.. even from nagoya hill too..

Love the location. Quite road, near Nagoya Hill, and great food just opposite the hotel. The swimming pool is quite small considering the number of hotel rooms.The room is convenient, TV has nice channel selections (cable n box office movies).

At first my booking for a superior room on the executive floor was changed without my knowledge. The staff was extremely rude to me multiple times. My room had leaking water early in the morning from a faulty sprinkler, again the staff was rude to me. Horrible!

The Staff are very helpful, Especially Mr. Eko (The Front Office Officer), thanks A lot i appreciated itThe Hotel A Bit noise, because till 11 PM i can heared the music from the barThe Bed are king size bed makes me very comfort The Toilet and Shower i thing it's to simple for class hotel like NovotelThe bad things is after we close the bill,the price of the bills are different with the price i see and book in the internet before i arrived at this hotel (From Advantage Plus Asia Website).But the problem has end,when the staff (Mr. Agus) promised to give me a free uprading room, for next stay in Novotel Batam.

Nice hotel and near to the town. Worth going there again.Beside the very expensive "taxi" fare for just bringing us to the Ferry Terminal (30,000 Rhp for less than 2 mins distance), the rest are all fine! I hope that the hotel can do something about enhancing their service in sending guests to the Ferry Terminal.The sad thing in travelling in Batam is the transportation. The local will just need to pay 5,000 Rhp for a taxi ride, but we have to pay at least 5 times more!

Novotel Batam: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Terrible Sleep Everynight"

(1) Unexpected image when 1st time entering the room. Not as standard as other Accor Hotels in other locations. The Bed Sheets, Pillow+Sheets & Towels look very old.(2) For an Executive Room, I still have to pay extra for internet connection. (3) Room Cleaning time always in the afternoon? Never been done in the morning. (After my breakfast at 8-9am).(4) The most terrible thing was the sound/music from the Club/Pub was bothering me even until 1.30-2.00 am. It can be heard from the room & made me sleep uncomfortably.

Novotel Batam: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel but rather disappointed with service"

Both my husband and I are Accor members and we booked 5 rooms for the Chinese New Year via the Accor website. At the point of booking, we did request that each room to have a complimentary bed as all the families have 2 children. I also booked a van for 1 day sightseeing and in my email to the supervisor, i did mention our request for 1 complimentary bed in all the rooms. I appreciate that the email was responded promptly regarding the cost and usage of van and our day’s programme but there’s no mention that complimentary bed can only be provided in executive rooms. Due to the miscommunications, the check-in was slow, but i did appreciate that 2 of the rooms were upgraded to the executive room in order to have a complimentary bed. The breakfast is fine and the rooms are comfortable, but the toilet is very small. Overall, the hotel is above average based on the price we pay and the children enjoyed the swimming pool. I have stayed in many Novotel hotels elsewhere and this is the first time i know the hotel does not provide complimentary bed in superior room, maybe this should be made known at the point of booking.

A good quality motel. 5 minutes from Nagoya shopping centre and about 20 minutes from the Batam Fast Ferry terminal. Fixtures a little old . Restaurant very good value. Fed the family of 4 for under $40 AUS. An oasis from the conditions outside. Good undercover pool and large gym. About $6 AUS for taxi from ferry. Worth going to Nagoya Shops. Shuttle at 10.00am. Lots of cheap stuff.Conditions in Batam a culture shock after the order and cleanliness of Singapore. Ferry trip 60 minutes. Visa $25 US. Have US $ to pay otherwise you will pay extra with conversion rate. Money exchange best at Nagoya.

I booked the Novotel at Batam because I we have stayed at the Novotels before I looked up this hotel but couldnt get much information on it. Well I booked for 4 nights we stayed 1!!! My 4 yr old cut her foot twice on the floor tiles, the noise from the cars at night Oh My God we didnt sleep, no kids club, nothing to do. It was not what I expected at all. We checked out the next day & checked into the hotel across the road it was a Ship & it was GREAT called the Pacific Palace.

Novotel Batam: 3.0 out of 5 stars "One Night in Batam with Novotel"

Even though this hotel is very near to ferry terminal Harbour Bay, but its quite hard to get access to city center, at first time we check-in, and I will say the receptionist is not friendly enough compared to other Accor hotels that I ever visited. But the room is nice, minimalist and quite spacious for standard room. The other problem that occurs is distance to the lift is far. But In overall I feel satisfied for this stay more to the room.

Novotel Batam: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Worth the money"

The hotel is clean but facilities are limited. Partly due to the fact that the swimming pool and gym was under renovation. The rooms are recently being renovated so its pretty nice esp the executive rooms. The staff should be trained more in the services and menus that the hotel provide, as they had to ask around and get back to us when we enquire on their room service menu. Overall the hotel is worth the money.
