Fantastic location overlooking the bay. Close to main street of town but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Beautiful walks and park right outside the gate. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to the season but the Irish pub (part of the hotel) is just around the corner. First night was terrific with quick service and meals brought to us in no time. Second time was not quite so efficient with my drinks order being mixed up, the Friday bar snacks not on as advertised and the room chargeback becoming an issue. All was sorted out though so not a big problem. Room cleaning seemed to be lacking considerably and given we spent 5 nights in a family room I would have thought more would be done. It appeared that the room was serviced only twice and on these occasions only the beds were made and towels changed on one visit. Pool area is fantastic with plenty of room to swim and a fairly deep area in the middle. Fully covered by shade sails so great in the sun. Tennis court is in reasonable condition and good for a social hit. Overall a good experience.
Apart from slow 'Techo induced' restaurant service the experience was pleasant. Any queries or requests were promptly resolved. For a non motorist it was an easy walk either to the main town or the "Town". Town bus service half hourly to Cable Beach. Quibbles --2100hr bar closure is not 'Late' as described in info literature and bar fridges not big enough for even a 6 pack.

Location was perfect, so close to everything. Housekeeping manager, Lindy was fantastic and went out of her way to help us, and had a great personality as well. The Pub was the best place for food because of the atmosphere, however, you don't want to be in a hurry as it took 3/4 hour to get our meals. The breakfast in the actual hotel was woeful, every morning we had to ask for fruit to be brought out, nothing was replaced as it was depleted and the scrambled eggs were like rubber.
Dear 372SueH372, Thank you for your review of the Mercure Broome. I am so pleased to read of your comment regarding Linday - she is definitely an asset to our team. I will ensure your feedback is shared. I appreciate your comments regarding breakfast. This information has been addressed with our Head Chef. We look forward to seeing you again when you are next in Broome. Kind regards, Alexis Hvalgaard General Manager
We had a wonderful stay, beautiful ocean view with well supplied and well equipped room. Beds were very comfortable and the coffee pod machine was terrific. Lots of lovely 'little touches' which made it all very enjoyable. Great buffet breakfast and good coffee from the Barista. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so lovely.

A well-priced hotel in Broome. Not close to beach or shops, but a bus services the area. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Guest laundry was a bonus. Limited menu in the restaurant at night. Room comfortable.
Lovely room with a view. Room was big and comfortable with a balcony. Very clean. Quite for the extra sleep in. Several pools to choose from and under shade. Walking distance to great restaurants. Bus just up the road for easy pick ups so did not need a hire car.
