This is a great hotel in an excellent location. This was our third visit there in as many years and we weill probably be back again next year. The swimming pool helps cool the children down when the days get to warm.

Hotel has gone under some refurbishment but needs to continue to reach a standard one expects from Mercure. Disposition of rooms - room, restaurant , bar, lounge a bit odd. Access to restaurant was via an outside passage and outside stairs for bedroom. On windy days the "please make up my room" notice always blew away. The layout of the bedroom lacked imagination and focus on comfort viz-a viz space available. It was a big room with unused space but the bathroom was too small and the layout could have been improved. The walls were painted in a dark colour which gave a gloomy feeling to the room. The hotel advertises itself as a holiday hotel but the small wardrobe in our room meant hanging the clothes we had brought for a 8-day stay here and, in total a 14-day holiday using other locations, three or more items to one hanger and they always came out creased. On a positive note: the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would only recommend this hotel to anyone with the above reservations.
