Mercure Chiang Mai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Back again!!"

8th May 2012, Kawakawa

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed my stays.Front desk and bell captains are very helpful and anticipate your needs. My wife alsoenjoys Mercure Chiangmai. Restaurant food and service are very good.Security is alsogood. Thumbs up too for the travel office adjacent to the hotel.I plan to return here again soon with my wife.

Mercure Chiang Mai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Worth paying mecure Chiang Mai"

8th May 2012

This hotel is worth the money for the one who like to stay away from business of town centre. It is about 10 minutes from the midtown, using tuktuk, quite place and has convinience shopping just beside the hotel.

Mercure Chiang Mai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Some problems"

20th March 2012, Bangkok, Thailand

I've stayed here several times because of the location. Sadly my online bookings have been less than perfect. Last ime I had to email to ensure the booking was confirmed, as my c/c had not been debited and the time before, my c/c was not accepted online, although on arrival there was no problem. My last visit, reception found it difficult to find my booking and check out was somewhat slow. However, I stay there because of the location and it's price which is quite competetive.

Mercure Chiang Mai: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel in Chiang mai"

5th March 2012, Santiago, Chile

Excellent Hotel but away from the fun parts of the city, However, taxis are unexpensive and reliable. Personnel is top. Good travel agency on the side of the hotel, good prices and willing to please all your needs.

Mercure Chiang Mai: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Deception"

28th February 2012, Cairns

Rooms are no where near as nice as pictures, for the price it could be seen as value but i dont believe it should have the mecure or accor status. The hotel is run down, it needs some dollars spent on renovations, it's filthy and smelly. Its location is far from the night plaza or any activity of a night time. Getting to and fro can get ya with 150bht a pop. Hotel to airport transfers are 100bht per person for a 5 min trip down the road. HEAPS OF MOSQUITOES!!!! inside and out!! has a pool bar but not opened but. good staff is the only good comment of got about this establishment.

Mercure Chiang Mai: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Chiang Mai Mercure"

9th January 2012, Sydney

Excellent value, in a good location by Tops Supermarket and local morning markets. It is not far from the city walls and close to restuarants and cafesFriendly and helpful hotel staff. Mercure Patong Beach could learn alot from the staff at Mercure Chiang Mai.

Mercure Chiang Mai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Chiang Mai"

10th September 2011, Brisbane, Australia

Staff were friendly. This was the best hotel in our stay in Accor properties over the 2 weeks we were in Thailand. Food was of good quality. Would recommend this hotel to friends & family. Pool & surrounds were nice, massage therapist was excellent & new her job.ThanksAdam Cole

Mercure Chiang Mai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Not so good location"

12th August 2011, vijmrita, Singapore

The location is not very convenient, especially in the morning, other than eating at the hotel there's no fast food chain within walking distance. There's a TOP supermarket next to the hotel but it closes like 9 or 9.30pm. I would prefer a 24 hours convenient stores to get my snacks anytime of the day.

Mercure Chiang Mai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Decent stay with good value at Mecure Chiang Mai"

27th July 2011, BKK

Booking through Accor Online was a breeze; easy and convenient. The price was quite good although there may be cheaper hotels with similar type of rooms out there. Mercure was selected due to proximity to business activity in the area. But if you are looking for shopping and attractions (such as night bazaar, night life, entertainment places), it is not in walking distance. Aside from TOPS and local "fresh market", there are not much to see around there. The rooms are quite clean but due to hotel builing age, it's considerably out-dated and somewhat old. However, the bed is larger than king sizel, which is good. TV is still CRT style. Bathroom is average with basic toiletries. The best part is service. From bell boy to receptionist are all helpful and friendly. We arrived early morning at Chiang Mai. Thinking that check in is set for afternoon, we left our bags there are went for temple and breakfast. By the time we came back, the staff found us a room in the morning. That was really nice.Overall, Mercure is a good value with basic older style hotel accommodation. Don't expect modern decor or new furnitures. Do expect great service from friendly staff.
