Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Comfortable Hotel"

Enjoyed our stay! The room was just nice for me and the location was slightly far from the BTS but walkable. The Internet should be free like all other 4 stars hotel.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great place for extended stay in Bangkok"

4th May 2012, xbeatsx, Hyderabad, India

We had a really great time at Chateau de Bangkok. We were graciously able to check in early after an overnight flight and it was great since all we wanted to do was shower. The hotel is close by the Phloen Chit SkyTrain stop, so that was convienient to get into the city for shopping and get to the river to take the river boat cab to temples. The room itself was very spacious for 2 people and we love that they had a seperate area with a couch and table away from the bed. The kitchen was nice to and it was great to have a big fridge for water. Bathroom was a little old, and the shower head only accomodates you up to about 5 feet tall - if you are taller than that, it's difficult to get a good shower.Best part is the roof top pool - amazing views and great water for a quick dip after a long day sightseeing in Bangkok.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Extra nice Junior Suite Room"

1st May 2012, Denpasar

I stayed in a junior suite room. It is spacious and nice. It has a kitchen. Ward room. Even a whirlpool in its bathroom. The hotel officers are very friendly. It needs only 3 minutes walking to get to the sky train terminal. Taxi keeps on passing in the street in the front of the hotel. Very easy to go everywhere.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 5.0 out of 5 stars "pleasant & practical"

29th April 2012, bebaer, Shanghai, China

Excellent value for money, convenient location, friendly staff, good facilities. I warmly recommend. The tiny little glitch is the necessity to write a long appraisal when this step should actually be painless.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice surprise for Songkran"

Great downtown location with few walk from BTS. Staff are all friendly and helpful, especially with your midnight wet come back from the fest :)

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Comfortable stay"

10th April 2012, bellefield, Pittsburgh

The hotel is located on a small street - 10 min walk from Ploenchit BTS station. The staff was nice and the room is clean and okay. The interior looks old and it definitely needs to improve the bathroom. Their swimming pool and jacuzzi pool was small but nice. It's a good value for the money I paid.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Clean and affordable but few frills"

7th April 2012, Iristraveller, Melbourne, Australia

Overall this hotel is fine if you are looking for a safe, clean hotel to stay in.A few areas could be improved. i requested a strictly non-smoking room on the Accor website, but got a room with an ashtray on what was definitely a smoking floor. As I had already raised an issue with the poor drainage in my bath/shower, I put up with the very faint smoke smell as my room was otherwise quiet and clean.Order the breakfast buffet if you want the convenience, as i am not sure if the nearby cafes open early, but it was not great value for what was offered and the breakfast room seemed often understaffed so service was also an issue. Otherwise the hotel is fine if you just want a place to sleep.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Pleasure to stay there."

31st March 2012, Sydney, Australia

The staff were more than helpful, & I will stay there again. Its closeness to the City was of great help. The food was excellent, and the rooms were very comfitable, no request was to hard to fill.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Miss a free WiFi"

21st March 2012, Stockholm, Sweden

This was a combined business and leisure trip and then it is necessary to have access to WiFi. Can't understand why this is not provided. Most of the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is very good only a few minutes walk from the skytrain. Breakfast in hotel is very standard but has very dry bread, better and much cheaper to buy breakfast in the supermarket across the street.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Pleasant Stay"

18th March 2012, Mumbai (Bombay), India

Overall a pleasant stay, worth for the prie paid. 10 min from Ploenchit station. Also Nana street - night market is at walking distance.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good junior suit room"

1st March 2012, Ake_Sichon, Sichon, Thailand

This was my first stay of this hotel. The location is in business area of Bangkok. I travel by BTS sky train to Pleonchit station and walked around 400 meters. There was no shuttle service of hotel. The staff of reception area should be improved because no eye contact with the customer. The hotel provided one complimentary drink for guest. We can choose any outlets to receive the drink. I love junior suit room of this hotel. This hotel was suitable for the people who like quiet atmosphere.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 3.0 out of 5 stars "comment"

20th February 2012, Hong Kong, China

Quiet, comfotable but house keeping is not so attentive. I've asked for toilet papers twice in the evening and nobody came at all until the next day. The bathtub is great, I've never been in such a big one before. Should provide bubble bath gel to customer.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Superb Staff"

12th February 2012, Bangkok, Thailand

At only $50 per nite when I generally pay $!50 on business in NZ I wasn't expecting much. The decor and level of maintenance left a lot to be desired as wel. However the attentiveness of staff, from the security guy on the street, concierge, bellhop, receptionists, waiters and waitresses blew us away. Our tariff also inclded full breakfast, cooked to order as well as full buffet, and non-stop espressos as soon as the cup was empty. We will stay there every year when we visit from now on.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Reasonable stay"

10th February 2012, Sydney,

The hotel is located near Ploenchit BTS (if you're traveling with big/large luggage, it's a bit of a hassle). We had a junior suite which was rather spacious. Staff was helpful. The pool and gym on level 12 were very good, due to the recent refurbishment. There was no free internet, even in the lobby.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Chateau Bangkok"

6th February 2012, Sydney, Australia

My room was not as spacious as the brochure led me to believe. First morning the shower head fell off and hit me on the back of the head.Shower repaired within two hours.(head hurt !)Reception advised me I was in as a smoking room- I was promptly moved to a different floor (non- smoking.)It is two steps up to get into bath/shower/spa- not easy when you are well into your 60's- shower floor also very slippery !!Hotel average but STAFF BRILLIANT !I think I would seek to stay elsewhere when I return to Bangkok

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good service apartment"

2nd February 2012, Singapore, Singapore

The room that we stayed was of decent size which house a kitchenette, walk-in closet, working desk, en-suite bathroom comes with a jacuzzi bath tub, small dining and living room area. The king size bed was comfortable. The hotel staffs are relatively friendly and helpful. The hotel just renovated their gym and pool area, which make it more updated and modern - something which I hope it could be done also to the facade and interior. Opposite the hotel is a shopping arcade where you will be able to do some grocery shopping for light cooking. There is also another 7-11 convenient shop along the street to the BTS.Like most of the previous guest who stayed in this hotel, the overall stay could be improved if complimentary wi-fi is provide to all guest and tuk tuk shuttle service to the BTS.Have a great stay and may consider booking again if the price remains attractive.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great hotel"

22nd January 2012, katty_657, Melbourne, Australia

We stayed at Chateau for the last part of our trip around Thailand. Once eventually finding the hotel (taxi drivers are not familiar with that part of town at all, and speak/read minimal English) we were met by lovely ladies at the reception. Everything was already organised for us so it was lovely after a long day to simply be shown to our room. The rooms were clean, spacious and overall very nice and trendy. All the restaurants there had excellent service, perhaps overprices but if you have the advantage plus accord card this isn't an issue.Reception proved to be very helpful with confirming our flights, helping us with tour arrangements and even inquiring about how the tour was when we returned. The only problem we had was the hotel seems to be out of town a little, or perhaps more in the business district. Being young we were hoping to be around the shopping and nightlife a little more, however the staff were happy to point us in the right direction. Trying to get home on the other hand and explain to taxi's where we were staying proved to be an issue every time, where we would have to get a map out and show them. But apart from that, a beautiful hotel, clean with friendly and professional staff.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 3.0 out of 5 stars "No free wifi!?"

20th January 2012, Travel_freak_mas, Malaysia

I was actually shocked when the receptionist told me that I need to pay 500baht to use the wifi for 3 days. Come on, didn't they know that even a budget hotel in Bangkok offer free wifi with their low budget room rate? While other Accor Hotel tends to give at least free wifi in the lobby area, but not this hotel. So, if you ask whether I will return to this hotel, the answer is NO. I don't get the basic facility even I paid a premium for the room. How about recommend it to friend? Definitely NO. This is a generation of internet, they will curse me if they have to pay for simple FB/Twitter-ing.So, how to get around this problem, if you somehow have booked this hotel: Buy a sim card at the airport. I paid 399baht for a 3G DTAC sims, with 1 week unlimited 3G data usage, 100+baht of prepaid calling credit. And I turned on my iPhone as hotspot.Putting aside this problem, here are the pros & cons. Pros: Room is clean & big, big bathtub, amenties provided, staffs are friendly, close to Siam Center (2 skytrain stations away), 2 btls of drinking water provided daily.Cons: Slightly aging, quite a walk (5-10mins) from skytrain station, I could hear the noise of moving train from the nearby railway (but tolerable), even though my room was in 10th floor. There is a 7-11 on the way from Skytrain staion to hotel, so, a good place to stock up some drinks/foods for the fridge in the room. So, to management, just provide free wifi with the current room rate, and your hotel would be under my recommended list. And if you provided free tuk tuk shuttle to skytrain staion (like other hotel in Bangkok does), you will be perfect.

Chateau de Bangkok Managed by Accor: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Big rooms and good location"
