Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel: 3.0 out of 5 stars ":)"

5th April 2012, Lausanne

Average experience. Rooms sizes was adequate however there was a layer of dust on the tables. Service was good :) very close to the market hall, river and public transports to main attractions. ALWAYS book taxi from hotel and not take one off the road! Price difference can be ridiculous. Good restaurants around such as Pata Negra and Argentinian Steakhouse.

Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Korona Budapest"

22nd February 2012, London

The staff were friendly and efficient. I was initially given a tiny room where the heating could not be adjusted. Although the double layer window was not supposed to open someone had forced it open to allow some air into the room. I asked for another room and was given a larger, better quality room but it was right next to the lift shaft. Every time the lift moved or the doors opened it was very noisy. Fortunately the hotel was not very full. This is a typical Mercure hotel, a 3 star hotel pretending to be 4 star.

Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel, bad breakfast"

1st February 2012, Fredrik77

I only slept and ate breakfast at this hotel. The hotel and its services are all good, the rooms are decent size and very clean. It is located centrally downtown on the Pest side. But the breakfast was a major disappointment.

Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Great location, poor service"

14th June 2011, London

Stayed for a long weekend, super location right in the heart of the city. Unfortunately the service really lets the hotel down. Examples are continually running out of items at breakfast and being very slow to refill. Items such as milk, hot food. Unlike most hotels where the waiters would get an item for you, they just say someone will come, no personal responsibility. No doubt they have been taught to act this way, so probably a management problem. In the bar you can die of thirst before being able to attract a waiters attention. I would give it another try as the location is so good.

Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel: 3.0 out of 5 stars "review"

15th November 2010, waherr, cumbria

whilst hotel is good enough (as i stay here often) the priviledge rooms are on small side, and you sometimes have more space in a standard room, i had to ask for another towel as the one i had picked up was full of holes, the room maid was in the corridor so it was not a problen, but in a 4 star hotel towels should not have holes on them. This stay the walk through priviledge bar had dirtry plates lying about during the day and drirty glasses still there in the morning left over from the night before. i never have breakfast there as i don't think it is good value for money. with the Hotel being on a busy square the double glazing is very good as it is does keet out the trafic noise if your room overlooks Kalvin Ter
