Mercure Perth: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Comfortable"

17th May 2012

The hotel is a short stroll from Perth city, where lots of food can be found. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Mercure Perth: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Fantastic service - very poor attention to detail"

12th May 2012, JoshSydney_Australia, Sydney, Australia

Recently we stayed at the mecure in Perth in Irwin street. I'd like to complement the staff on their helpfulness with a few issues we had while staying.Firstly the room we were given was 728.. This room had mould all per the shower door and floor, off milk in the fridge nit feel out onto the ground and looked like yoghurt. The walls looked like they had been dodgidly plastered up and use to have holes all over it.. We asked to be moved, to which we were moved to room 1227. This room wasn't much better. There was rust all throu out the bathroom, the pillows in the bed were horrible even when we requested new ones, the bathroom also had mould all over e shower curtain, and a broken shower head.. We took pictures of these issues I'd your would like to see them. All in all it was a highly disappointing stay for what we paid.

Enjoyed the room.Enjoyed dinner.Service was excellent! Most of all close to Subiaco, great for the footy!

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very Comfortable"

9th May 2012, BusyTraveller1985, Melbourne, Australia

I enjoyed my stay at the Mecure Perth. The staff were lovely to deal with and helpful. The position of the hotel is fantastic, close to shopping and food in the CBD.The room was quiet and clean. The only thing I would say isthere was no Earl Grey tea in the room, only normal tea which I don't drink (so will take my own next time) and I prefer a slightly softer bed.

Mercure Perth: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Stay"

Could have done with a steam iron and the use of a clothes horse apart from that the staff and hotel was all very good and great value for money.

Mercure Perth: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Is the mining boom destroying Perth tourism??"

7th May 2012, djfowler, San Francisco, California, USA

This place is such a mixed bag. The room is refurbished, but the bathroom is circa 1965. The lobby is refurbished, but the dining area his circa 1981 complete with ugly gold fittings. The view out of my room was of a dirty alley and rubbish bins so I kept my curtains closed. The restaurant here is terrible. I highly suggest you eat out. The breakfast was all standard Accor, but I would say it was all prepared the day before. Nothing looked fresh. Poor presentation. I also had dinner and did not eat it. Steak served with mixed frozen vegetables. Clearly not prepared by someone with any training. The overall service was completely lacking. Staff were not present, were not interested and were not properly trained. I guess this place is symptomatic of Perth and WA at the moment. Overpriced hotels doing a shoddy job because they can't find staff due to the mining boom.

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "feedback on Mercure Stay"

1st May 2012, bamford269, Perth, Australia

It was excellent except we were not given our half discount for breakfast as an Accor Advantage Plus memeber, and we thought the valet parking was a rip off compared to other hotels where we stay it is complimentary.

I thought Mecure was great the beds were really comfy rooms were newly refurbished and clean, great location and value for money. We will definatly be staying again.

Mercure Perth: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Fine but in need of refurb!"

28th April 2012, RichandTam44, Perth, Australia

The hotel was fine but in much need of a refurb. On arrival, the hallway leading to our room had cleaning trolleys and piles of bedding scattered around - not the best first impression! The doors are scuffed and an awful colour. Everything just needs a good lick of paint, a general fix up and refurb which will make a huge difference!

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Perth holiday"

26th April 2012, smorony, Sydney, Australia

We found the hotel to be in a good location, clean and the staff friendly and very helpful. The restaurant food was excellent and the rooftop pool was a highlight of our stay.

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Mecure Perth"

26th April 2012, karyn61, Brisbane, Australia

We stayed one night at the beginning of our trip & another night at the end of our trip to Perth. The first night the room was on a higher floor in a particular tower. The decor and fittings were dated - looked original! but it was clean & comfortable. Our last night was on a lower floor in the other tower - modern decor, updated fittings, flat screen TV. Obviously not all room have been updated so may be best to ask when you check in.

Mercure Perth: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great hotel freindly staff"

Awesome and recommend to anyone. There is a taxi rank located outside the door for easy airport transfers. Great restaurant and a fantastic location to walk into the city for some shopping or dinner

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "My stay at the Mercure"

24th April 2012, PJ1621, Busselton, Australia

Staff were very helpful & friendly. Spa & Pool absolutely great especially being heated. Have stayed and the Mercure for my visits to my Doctor and general leisure quite a few times. Would recommend it and also the Resturant. Great food and service.

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Catch up with changes to our home city"

19th April 2012, Wanneroo_15, Perth, Australia

The staff would be the hotels best asset, friendly and helpful. The room could do with an update { t v } however very clean and comfortable. The breakfast has improved considirably from our last stay and the evening menu more than adaquate. The hotels loctation is ideal with the free bus service to the city almost at the door.

Mercure Perth: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Perth city"

18th April 2012, CityTraveller011, Sydney, Australia

If you are looking for a hotel that is located centrally and easy to get to and from then this one is for you. It's priced welll and the rooms are good but the service leaves a lot to be desired in the reception and housekeeping area. At times, as a guest, I was made feel like I was an inconvenience and was not respected as a guest. The staff "just did'nt care" about what was happening and did little to address any of my concerns until I became quite annoyed. Housekeeping 1/2 serviced my room one day and left a bag of rubbish and some spray bottles in the room... and never came back!!So value for money, location and features are fine. Service.. hmmmm! Make your own decision.

Mercure Perth: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Pretty Average Hotel"

11th April 2012, Australind, Australia

Not a bad hotel overall. Paid extra for an upgraded room. Not worth the extra money. The room was exactly the same as a standard room, only bigger and appeared older. The rooms could do with a refurb, or at least a good clean.Service was ok, no staff members really going out of their way to make you feel welcome. A bit like being served by a robot to be honest. Not saying the staff were rude, I just got the impression they were bored, and I was just another person. The Hotel Valet Parking system doesn't work quick enough, meaning you are often forced to leave your vehicle in a designated 'Taxi Only' parking zone.

Mercure Perth: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Perth"

9th April 2012, Perth

I had two evening meals in a row, Thursday and Friday evening. Thursday was good, Friday was terrible. The food was cold, drab and we had side of mash potato and it was like we were eating the previous evenings mash, not fresh, lumpy and dry. One of the worst meals I have had in long time and outrageous for the cost!

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "trip to the city"

5th April 2012, perth

rooms were clean and neat. Service at front desk pleasant and polite. Only downfall was having to pay for parking. For hotel of this stature parking should be free.

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "COMFY HAVEN"

5th April 2012, Australind, Australia

Very convenient location, service was excellent and rooms very comfortable. Breakfast also very nice in pleasant surroundings.

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Short stay"

4th April 2012, New Plymouth, New Zealand

We only stayed 1 night -great to have an choice of 2 restaurants for meals. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We were upgraded to a superior room - nice enough room but a little small for a superior.

Mercure Perth: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Bad choice"

1st April 2012

Very expensive, no value, smallest room, breakfast bad with very bad to non-existing service. Worst hotel of the Accor Hotels I ever stayed in as an A|Cub member.

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Holiday Accommodation Mercure Perth"

1st April 2012, Brisbane, Australia

Hotel is located close to everything. Free bus stop half a block from hotel and easy walk to mall and Swan River. No view of Swan River from hotel room. Room stayed in was quite large and very comfortable. Small amount of street noise could be heard from room on 9th floor. Bed was comfortable allowing a good nights sleep. Saff were accommodating and offered every assistance.

Mercure Perth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure, Perth"

29th March 2012

WE found the hotel very pleasant. There was not enough towels in the bathroom and we had to call housekeeping for an extra one. Pillows on the bed were terrible. The food prices at the Restaurant were very expensive, you got very little on the plate for the price and everything from chips to salad was an extra (very dissappointed with this restaurant). Staff in all areas of the Hotel were pleasant and helpful.
