Novotel Genova City hotel

"NOVOTEL GENOVA"

Nice hotel and although on main road, double glazing keeps the noise at bay! Good restaurant and breakfast. Bus into town 100 metres away. Room standard Novotel, underground parking quite pricey at 14.40 euro per night but no alternative! Reception staff and house-keeping staff very friendly. Enjoyed our stay.

Genova will never be my favourite town, but this is no fault of Novotel. The hotel itself provides the same high standard of comfort and quality I experience in all Novotels with lovely staff, nice bedroom, quiet restful sleep, etc.The restaurant offers similar cuisine to the Novotels throughout France, but is somewhat "Italianised", and not enhanced by this. In addition, the buffet breakfast fell below the joy of the French equivalents (less choice of fruit, and the hot elements were nearly cold).On the negative side, the car parking was atrocious, with access to the underground almost impossible up or down that awful spiral passageway by motorbike--I almost poleaxed myself twice there! For this reason alone, I will never go to this hotel again, though it does not alter my high opinion of Novotels elsewhere, which I simply love and look forward to. This car park is simply DANGEROUS!

"Stopover in Genova"

This Novotel was overall very good. Rooms very clean and beds comfortable. There was a swimming pool on the 2nd Floor and a nice bar and restaurant. We didn't take breakfast as we thought it was expensive.

"Don't recommend this hotel..."

Location is terrible and rooms are not very clean... Beds are not comfortable, staff were OK but not great.Not sure how other hotels are in that town but I won't stay in this Hotel if I ever go back to Genova. Generally don't recommend this city for visit unless you have a business there.

"A good hotel, would stay again"

Reception were really helpful, ensuring we had all the information we needed.Although the hotel is away from the centre, there is good bus links to and from town.Breakfast was very busy, but plenty of food available for guests.

"family overnight in Genoa on way to Tuscany"

I often use Accorhotels for business travel but for this trip, booked it for my family and was thrilled - great value for money, v good humoured and friendly service, arrived late and extea beds for kids were already dressed and we all enjoyed a great nights sleep. We were on the 9th floor and kids loved waking up to all the harbour activity and planes overhead and our breakfast was nice - plenty of choice. Parking is right underneath the hotel so v practical for hauling suitcases and great for us as v close to motorway entrance for going to Tuscany. We were v happy customers of Novotel Genoa and will stay "en famille" in Novotel again.

"Good value for money"

Great personal, willing to help clients, easy to communicate with the receptionists as they speak English. The hotel is situated not far away from downtown and the indoor parking is large enough. We personally did not enjoy breakfast.The hotel is great value for money.

"NEEDS SOME TLC AND WIFI THAT WORKS"

I stay here every year for 5 to 7 days for the Charter Show and the place is getting very tired. Again, like last year I could not get the WIFI to work and I was not alone apparently. On the first morning I complained that the bathtub drain did not work so all they did was pull it out.

"Yes it is good"

I liked best the parking facility. Hotel was far from the center but very easy to reach the local transportation. Food was OK. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. People were frendly and smiling. Wireless connections werw also satisfactory.

"Pleasant Stay at Novotel Genoa"

Very good modern hotel, was impressed by the modern decor. Easy to bus to from the airport. Very handy to the bus for heading into the main shopping precint and port. Definitelty not in walking distance of the main city, but the front desk easily advised us on the bus system. Only problem was busing home later at night. We caught a crusie from Genoa and it was very close to the port that we could catch the local bus, only 2/3 stops.

Do Good bad and breakfast. Restaurant employee behavior was highly appreciated. Internet access in the lobby for free. Don'tRoom not very clean(carpet). Not enough place for children to play and not separated from adults area.

"Maybe Avoid!"

This hotel is located on the west side of Genoa. It has good parking but is very difficult to find and should be avoided if you plan to vist the opera, palaces etc which all need a taxi journey from the hotel. Also it has a poor dining room with no Italin flair in the menu. Otherwise it is acceptable.

In the restaurant not exactly what we did order...didn't have all the ingredients in the a plate we order because they didn't have at this moment (what they say...) . People service in the restaurant nice (very italian!!) but the receptionist not very friendly...Kids food not good.
