ibis Budapest City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Budapest"

22nd May 2012, Kathleen556, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

The Ibis is @ 1.5 miles from the train station. It is @ 20 minute walk to the tourist section and the river. The hotel is old. The rooms are small and the beds are very soft. I thought pricey for the look and quality of the hotel. I would choose not to stay there again.

ibis Budapest City: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Good location"

18th April 2012, Alexandria, Romania

The hotel is placed in a good location. The room was clean and quiet. There is free wifi. The stuff was OK. My car was safe in the parking in the underground of the hotel.

ibis Budapest City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "4 day trip in Budapest"

11th April 2012, Brussels, Belgium

The hotel is very well located. There is a metro, bus, tram stop just right on the corner, there is also a quite big supermarket (match) 20m away. It is not far from everything you need. I choosed it because it was located between the heart of the city centre and the baths, and also because of the price and the neatness of the room. The only thing that could have been better was to have a fridge or a microwave which are always useful. If you are looking to cook, just rent a appartment, they are also cheap.

ibis Budapest City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel good, breakfast average, location terrible"

3rd April 2012, London

The hotel itself is fine - standard Ibis rooms and quality. Breakfast choices were limited - pastries felt stale and very few cooked items. The location is terrible - entirely down to the huge and very busy junction of major roads just outside. The square opposite seemed to be a gathering place for tramps and partying students until the early hours.Next time in Budapest will be an Ibis but somewhere quieter.

ibis Budapest City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "All the basic comforts covered nicely"

30th September 2011, Tallinn

Only gripe would be that the free wifi internet was a bit flakey, tho it generally did work in my room at least. I just wish these hotels would either just make it free without the login hassle, or at least make sure its works better.

ibis Budapest City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good Location, poor service compared with other Ibis Hotels"

14th September 2011, Izmir, Turkey

Well, what I like at Ibis Hotel, you can get what you expect, limited services but clean room. However, this hotel unfortunately even below this standard. There was not a hair dryer or shampoo in the bathroom, and there, one can hear irritating sounds of flowing water from the top room (Water pressure tank I guess, I was at the 3rd floor), the towel old and ripped. But above all, the attitude of one lady at the front desk shocked me.(Her name was Marta)I never had an experience any hotel, there was a business center and I tried to print out my flight boarding card, but the cartridge of the printer had been finished. When I asked whether I can get from another printer, since it was urgent. She very rudely told me, try at other times. Also She delibaretly waited me for just having a blank paper. (The other people at the desk was very helpful). As French Ibis, for all expenses for keeping the standard as much as high in worldwide, can be broken at the weakest point, the people in former Soviet countries sometimes did not have enough education for welcoming and assisting the visitors and the importance of meeting of requirements for brand name reputation. Also, what I learnt after haivin spent 4 days in Budapest, The road next to the Hotel along the Tram #6 is like a imaginery quality line, the street goes up the Main train station Keleti is dangerous, a lot of gipsy people stop you and asked money, even at day. So any hotel, towards the Margrid Hid will a better choice.RegardsBaris

ibis Budapest City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Low cost accommodation"

5th September 2011, Brentwood, United Kingdom

You get what you pay for with the ibis. We had a stay two nights get one night free deal and so our stay was very reasonable. The bed was fine, room spacious, bathroom clean and the reception staff were mostly friendly and helpful. It is in between the main area and the train station so location was fine. Overall a good stay and an enjoyable trip.

ibis Budapest City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "one night isn't enough"

11th August 2011

despite the fact that I spent just one night at the hotel I had a chance to be pleased with service quality, the personnel was duly polite and helpful. the only disappointment was at the breakfast cause I found the choice quite limited

ibis Budapest City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Free wifi and good location."

31st May 2011, Nilai

Good location. Smart and simple hotel for both business and leisure. The main reason I have choosen this hotel is the free wifi provided. The connection was fine but there were connection conflicts sometimes. The worse was on the last night. The connection was totally down. The male staff were more friendly than female staff. However, I have enjoyed my 4 nights staying in this hotel.

ibis Budapest City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good average hotel"

25th May 2011, Lille, FR

Nice location, friendly staff, etc. I liked the room size and the breakfast, I also enjoyed the free wifi in the whole building, and the surprising service: one bike to rent (5 euro/half-day), which is just great! The location is great since many places to visit are at walking distance from the hotel! Also there are nice live music places around. Easy to find.

ibis Budapest City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "good value"

5th May 2011, Y[rich

ibis is in a good location, especially if you trevel to/from Keleti train station - it is in between city centre and station so very convieninet to drop/collect your luggage heading any direction. The quality of the hotel and room is OK - iis standards. I like the value I get for the price. Although it was a bit noisy - I could hear the noise from outside.

ibis Budapest City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Budapest City"

29th April 2011, Oliveira de Azeméis

Good value: the usual Ibis service. Near public transportation network (metro, tram, bus). Fast food restaurants around (MacDonalds, Burguer King, etc.). The noisy traffic during the day could be a problem for some people, but not too much.

ibis Budapest City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Buda Trip"

19th April 2011, Debrecen

Pros - Clean Hotel, Big Rooms, Economical, Located in the City Centre, Free Internet Wi FiCons - The Bed was very stiff, could have been of better quality. Over All, a Good Hotel, I would recommend this Hotel!
