"excellent stay"

well located - even to walk into Falaise. Good restaurant and very well appointed, clean hotel. Freindly staff. Just one minus point - pre-payemt does not seem to mean that at this hotel unlike other IBIS. They say they don't charge you credit card until your stay - so check so card statement. That's not what the IBIS web site says nor experienecs at every other IBIS.

Hotel is an older IBIS a 15 minute walk out of town, situated opposite off a large roundabout and opposite a large Hyper-U supermarket (it's a 150 yards away across a road so not a problem). Staff were classic rural french, not unfriendly but not particlarly welcoming and, unlike our attempts at French, not particularly communicative or willing to speak English. Our room was on the side facing the main road and, although set back by 50 yards, there was some traffic noise. A qualified recommendation of the hotel - ask for a room on the car park side. Room was a reasonable size. TV had some interference and only english speaking channel was BBCWorld.Breakfast was fine. We did not eat main meal there but ate in Falaise, the place on the corner of the market square up toward the Guillame Castle OK, excellent value/quality. Parking is free in 90% of Falaise and would recommend Falaise as a place to visit, Park by the Tourist Information centre, they have an excellent town map.
