"Dream view and location"

The view from our balcony was breath taking upon entry. Great location, the cafe next door was fantastic, excellent coffee and food was large in portions. My only gripe was the bed was too soft for what I'm use to. Overall, service, location, cost and cleanliness were all excellent

we have been staying at Novotel Wollongong for many years and overall it is not as "good" as the early days. Location is great, staff helpful, beds very comfortable. BUT value for money is not what it was before. The rooms are a little pricey but the biggest disappointment was the dining. We have found that over the years dining experience has gradually being scaled back. Food is excellent but the choice is less. And the little thing like a chef suddenly appearing with a platter of jam filled donuts and walking amongst the guests serving them. My family still talks about that. The little things appear to be missing.

We were a group of about 15 friends down from Sydney for a wedding in Wollongong. The hotel wasn't willing to give concessions for anyone in the group for accommodation or otherwise. After a few requests, the restaurant manager agreed to give us $5 off the $35 breakfast.Good location and pleasant enough hotel room. The hotel is a bit dated, the offerings a bit ordinary for an alleged 4.5 star (self-rated) hotel. Concierge very helpful with travel arrangements for the large group.Clean, tide and comfortable bed.

Great ocean views from the room, plenty of space but they need a revamp!! Also the $15/night parking fee was a bit steep considering there was no where close by to park otherwise... Great friendly service though and we had a lovely stay!

Great location, very good room, staff very friendly, great dining room. Disappointed with shower curtain over bath, dates the setup, otherwise all good.

The amount we paid for a suite in the Novotel was double the amount we paid to stay in a beautiful hotel in Sydney. We were shocked by the price but needed a place to stay overnight and assumed it would be a treat for ourselves but we were really disappointed. The 'ocean view' failed to mention it was an 'over the roof, past a street and carpark ocean view'.

Room was great, bathroom well fitted out and very clean. position of hotel and views excellent. Food in the bar was excellent. The bed was too hard. The spa was out of action. The tea and coffee making set was incomplete. I think the room was a little overpriced.

The bathrooms and lifts are looking a bit tacky and need an upgrade. I thought it was expensive for what it was. I was also disappointed that A-Club points were not available.

We have no plan for this trip. We just decided to drive south of Sydney for a few days. We were tired so we so I log on to my Accor membership to find a place to stay.Novotel we found are excellent located steps from the beach and the dining are fantastic. staffs are friendly and polite.

We had a lovely time at the Novotel Wollongong.The prawns at Dinner fresh and very tasty.The pool was fresh maybe they need to look at solar heating to warm it up, for those with children who want to swim all year round?

If you plan on staying I would recommend a room at the very front facing the ocean. The view is amazing. Rooms were tidy and modern and spacious. Staff were really helpful and efficient.

Booked in at approx 5pm and then was held up getting to the room with a 20 minute wait for the lift. Only had to go up 1 flight of stairs but was unable to do so as stairs were inaccessible. Hate to be caught up in an emergency at the hotel with only 1 functional lift servicing the entire premise. Joke!

We had fantastic views along the coast and down onto the beach, it was so beautiful waking up to the sun rising over the ocean. Loved that we could open a window and let fresh air in. The service was also fantastic even though the hotel had four weddings on that weekend.

Overall the hotel is looking a bit tired, but service provided by staff was very good. Location is excellent - right across the road from the beach, and not far from restaurants and shops. We had adjoining rooms (half price), which gave us plenty of space.

Was upgraded to the balcony room that gave us a very beautiful view of the bay. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Will return to this hotel if traveling to this area.

The staff were all lovely and very helpful and friendly. The beach opposite was just a bit windy on some days. Too bad the pool was heated as it was too cold to swim even on a warmish day.

Feel the hotel was in good need of a huge spring clean. Rather musty smell in corridors, dirty windows, elevator (on outside) needed a big clean. Thank goodness the rooms were clean and comfy, and the staff were spectacular.

Fantastic location and beach views form room were great. front desk staff very helpful. Parking space a bit tight and breakfast expensive but otherwise a good stay!
