Too crowded for breakfast as a biz-trip during summer vacation period. Overall services good. Locations, gym, swimming pools & other areas are overall good. Lobby also nice with the Eiffel Tower for photos.
2nd visit to this hotel in Seoul. They just renovated some rooms and it was smelly (smell of paint, new carpet...). Despite of the smell, the new room was fab. Bed and pillow were so comfortable. The only problem is they do not have bathtub in the double bed room. I called to the guest service center and told them I need either changing to another room or air freshener, the guest service staff told me to wait for their return call. They never called in 30 minutes until I called back, then they said they will send an air fresherner to me. I did not feel comfortable with the replies from the service center staff as well when I asked for an adapter. The service staff sound impatient when I reconfirmed something with her. The breafast quality was also downgraded compared to my last visit. But the delivery staff and concierge were passionate and helpful.

In general, I am rather happy with Accor hotels wherever I go. However, recent years, Accor hotels in South Korea disappointed me several times and my partner and I are seriously thinking of changing our hotel preference to other hotel chains, at least, in South Korea. Accor hotels in South Korea are relatively good enough in my opinion. However, they could be better in some points. My latest bad surprise came from their policy change for Accorhotels members. I am a Platinum members for several years in a row and normally I could access to their exsiting "Executive Lounge", but since January 2015, they changed this policy a little bit and now my partner who shares my room is "no more" granted for the access. That's hilarious. I hope other Accor hotels in other countries wouldn't follow the same policy. I've been stayed at Pullman Ambassador, Novotel Gangnam, Novotel Doksan, Mercure Sodowe, Ibis Gangnam in Seoul and Novotel Busan. Once we were contacted in a very early morning to change our room to another because they made a mistake on our arrival. They upgraded us for their appology. Well, that could happen. But that wasn't a very pleasant experience after a long haul flight and you were awaken early in the morning??? Well..... But since I am a good customer of Accor hotels, we kept going there, but our last visit was a horror. We've never tried their "Ondol" room, the Korean traditional room, so we booked it and stayed a night. But that was a mistake. First of all, that room was so dirty and uncomfortable, we had to ask for changing by showing them the proof photos. Of course, we could change the room. But it seemed that they do not keep any customer history for not making similar mistakes. So this time, we decided to stay at Novotel Gangnam. But the Platinum member's benefit has changed for Korean Accor hotels disappointed me a lot. And we were saying that it is time to change our mind. Moreover, when I asked to a receptionist on my arrival for the breakfast at the Executive Lounge. She told me that "There's a breakfast served, but there are very limited choices." That discouraged us and in the end, we hadn't any breakfast at the hotel throughout our stay there. Novotel Busan case. I once stayed there a long time ago and I had a rather good memory, so I recommanded to a friend of mine in France. During his stay, he had a problem with Air conditioning system and during his stay, they hadn't fixed that problem. How frustraing!

Although the benefits of our Le Club Loyalty card are in palce, our empowerment of our team should have prevented the situation you were put into. I have discussed the Ondol room cleaniness issue with the appropriate management. Platinum Card Holders have the choice of breakfast in the premiere lounge or at the expansice buffet at the Square restaurant, in discussions with team emmbers their intent was to provide options... so some re-training has been recommended. This was our second stay at the Novotel and on this occasion, we booked on the Executive floor. We found this great value as it included breakfast and Happy Hour daily. The rooms have also recently be refurbished and included extra touches such as mobile device charges and Bose speakers and five complimentary mini bar items. The buffet breakfast was outstanding - a huge selection! The Happy Hour too, was very generous with a variety of hot and cold food selections and a wide variety of beverages. Whilst Gangnam is somewhat removed from the central hub of the city, we enjoy the nightlife of the area (an easy stroll down the hill). The subway station is right on the corner and very easy to use, so it's quite simple to get to the key areas you wish to visit. We'll be back.

I am Platinum member of Accor Hotels but I could not get any special service. Breakfast in Club lounge was very poor, To use Sauna not free, Very small room. The located in top of hill and very far from any station. It was very hard to reach there each time to me. It is one of bad experience and never try...
I regularly go to the Novotel Gangnam and I highly appreciate this hotel. Only problem, since the renovation of the restaurants, the costs of food, from breakfast to restaurants and room service have skyrocketted to absurd level. this trip, I paid 31 000 KRW for a club sandwich (defrozen french fries and industrial mayonnaise straight from a can). I was also denied discount for my ACCOR card on the lunch set menu... not happy.

the hotel is conveniently located near to public transportation and there are plenty of nearby dinning and shopping choices. the service attitude of the hotel's staff is excellent, here are especially to mention the front desk and the premiere lounge teams. thank you for a very pleasant stay.
The room condition was good and quite for weekend stay. The only short point is that I could not set the water temperature for the shower. It was too hot or too cold. I could not set it at the moderate temperature.
I have visited Novotal Gangnam about a half-dozen times, and I am always happy with my stay @ Novotel . I stayed 2 nights at Novotel Gangnam (paid cash for the first night and using a Free Night from Accor Advantage for the other). Nice price, great service, kind staffs, delicious food @ the Square and nice location in the heart of Gangnam. Only downside was that the room condition due to aging. Overall, it was great stay and I am more than willing to visit this property in the future. Lastly, kindly check RSV# I8Z-1UPK, I haven't received points for my paid night yet. Thanks in advance!

Very rude check in, mistake made in room assignments despite being shown a print out of reservation. Room 1113 had mold in bathroom. Poor breakfast service, much diminished since last visit. Very slow service to room for additional supplies, had to call maid service twice as we were going to sleep and couldwaitno longer. Really terrible, really disappointing.
The room is spacious with big bed and tv. Tidy and clean washroom. The staff is very polite and can speak good English. The Hotel is walkable distance to the Gangnam restaurants and club area which is a must go during weekend. There are a few convenient stores and cafe around it.
1. Room condition - Room was very cozy as it has been newly renovated. I like the size of the bed and seemed all the equipment were new. 2. Executive Lounge- well.. I am the platinum member and I could use the lounge. I used the lounge 3 times . 1st day was ok but looked they needed more employees in the club lounge. When the happy hour almost finished, people ran into the food section and took out all to their dish. The butler looked very tired and need help. 2nd morning , when I was there with my friends, I was being asked to present my platinum card. As I was there for breakfast only, I didn't bring my wallet and also it was little bit embarrassed when she asked me at the entrance. 3rd morning, I was there for checking out and my friends asked the staff about the Valet parking. Most of hotels can help the guests to charge it to the room account so that guest can pay together as miscellaneous charges or others. Club Staff informed that we could pay at the bell desk and I really wondered that was it your hotel's policy. 3. Bell desk - I can say that bell and door desk's service was terrible. My friends gave her credit card to pay the valet and the bell lady informed her to go to the door desk . She didn't check her credit card information even my friends handed over to her and showed. The Door man was so arrogant and he said very rude as we needed to go to the deli for paying as she didn’t have any platinum card for free valet. Therefore, my friend went to back to the deli, and the worst thing was the bell lady and door desk man talked about her in Korean right in front of me. I couldn’t understand the Korean well but even in front of foreigner, the staff should not talk about the guest. Isn't it ? I was so angry and also she didn't feel good. The hotel management should train about the customer service at bell, door section . When she asked the bell lady why she didn't inform before that she needed to go to the deli not the door, the answer was......." I didn't know that you don't have any Platinum card".... AMAZING! Even my friends gave the credit card and show, and I do remember bell lady checked the type of card. We're in the bad mood when we departed hotel and hope next time, when we stay again . We do wish better service , please . Otherwise, there is no reason why I need to choose this hotel.
