Well located and friendly staff but lack of comfort

I stayed 4 nights at Mercure Opera for a business trip. I found the location very convenient and the staff was polite and efficient. However, the hotel wasn’t comfortable. The room were noisy with a lack of insulation. The heating in the hotel was too high especially in the breakfast area. There was many set of stairs that made travelling with big suitcases difficult and the lift, the bedroom and the bathroom were really small. The quality of the breakfast could be improved with better coffee. Overall a ok stay.

Went with my 12 year old son. Rooms are small but are okay. Wasn’t as clean as I would have liked as had things in the room like an old lipstick and some other bits left over from someone’s stay. Beds were clean though. Breakfast had a good selection and location was great. Safe area to walk back to at night. Reception staff are amazing gave some good recommendations Of were to eat but staff in the breakfast area could be a little more happy.

Disappointed in this hotel. We thought this hotel was newly built or renovated recently so the hardware should be good, but it's not. The bathroom was so small, the room was average in space as well, compared to other four star hotels I stayed in Paris. Water pressure was slow in the bathroom. The wifi in our room was terrible, and I barely could use it. The download speed was around 1 mbps, hardly could connect. I had to use my mobile data instead. All rooms (around 23 rooms per floor) share one little and slow elevator, not too much to comment. Regarding the service, disappointed as well. One day we left the room around 10am and hanged the "Come in" tag then returned around 2pm but the room was not cleaned yet. Good things: sound isolation was good. Staff was friendly.
