"Very nice hotel"

Very polite english-speaking stuff, nice location nearby a RER station, a good restaurant and many oppotunities to eat other places not far from the hotel on the Seine shore. Rooms are good-equiped, clean and modern designed.

I don't like plastic cups in bathroom and paper cups to make tea or coffee. No complimentary bottle of water! OK to buy Evian in bottle but do not expect guests to drink from tap water even if it is safe to do so.Aircon does not cool down enough for a good night sleep.
"Hotel undergoing Refurbishment work"

This hotel is a nice standard Novotel place and meets by most means the usual Novotel level expectations.The major downfall of this location is that the hotel is undergoing major refurbishing in every room, to upgrade them all to the new Novotel standard.This refurbishment work is done step by step, floor by floor, and the work starts at 8:30 in the morning. This makes it litterally impossible to sleep beyond this time for anyone who would be planning lazy mornings.This December '12 stay was the second time that we got trapped by this work - we thought the refurbishment was completed, as we had the same issue about one year ago.At this stage, several floors still remain to be done. Per my understanding, the current floors will be finished by mid of Q1'13, but a new batch of floors will start again this summer.I strongly recommend you contact the hotel's front desk to enquire about refurbishment work status prior to confirming a reservation, if you intend to stay sleeping beyond 8:30 in the morning.

Although I had booked the hotel on the web and pre-paid the room, checking out I was presented with and additional charge. The lady at the check out was pretty rude and asked me to pay it without giving any explanation. She even dared to raise her voice.I refused and left. Only 30 minutes later I got a telephone to tell me she was wrong but it was still my fault that I did not wait there for her to find her mistake.This is not the kind of service I normally get Novotel.

The reception and lobby area is nice and modern but unfortunately the rooms do not reach the same standard; they were grey, small and in need of a renovation.The main downside was the fact that teenagers were running around in the corridors around 2-3 am and probably woke up everyone in the hotel.The breakfast was very good and the bar nice and comfortable.Very convenient with parking in the same building at a very reasonable price; 14€ per night.
