Stayed two nights on a tour (booked by travel agent). Quiet location and well kept grounds. Spacious room with kitchenette, seating area and desk area. Well located power jacks. Comfortable bed, very flat pillows. Bathroom with everything in working order, good water pressure in the shower. No toiletries other than liquid soap. No dish detergent. And for the negatives, the place needs better maintenance. The first night the smoke alarm started going off before I even turned the hot water on to shower. The staff came and checked it and concluded that the battery was faulty and took the battery out. Shortly thereafter the A/C stopped working: I had to call the staff back, they couldn't figure out what was wrong but said that the A/C had been acting up for a while. In the end, I had to change rooms. It was already past 23:00 and I had already unpacked all my staff, so changing rooms took a while. Due to these mishaps. I lost 1.5 hours of sleep. The second room was very similar, and fortunately everything worked, although the A/C display showed that the filters needed to be changed. For the price paid, better maintenance is definitely expected. Breakfast buffet with good selection. Wifi worked well.

Regarding the smoke detector issue, we want to clarify that the detector's malfunction was unrelated to the use of hot water. We have 90 smoke detectors throughout the hotel, each powered by individual batteries. While we have maintenance plans in place, unforeseen circumstances may occur, and we appreciate your understanding. Regarding the air conditioning situation, please note that our receptionist, Manuela, offered you the option to change rooms immediately upon the first intervention and you have refused it. We regret any misunderstanding about this situation. We would like to express our gratitude for your positive feedback on our breakfast buffet and Wi-Fi service. I had an amazing time at the Hotel Mercure Kourou Ariatel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view I had from my room facing the lake was absolutely stunning.

Spend 2 weeks, needed several days to not get ripped of, prices were different than my reservation, right staurant quality was bad and the service therw too, I will leave a more detailed and lengthy report on Google
