Centrally located with excellent amenities within walking distance. Staff were excellent. Rooms (premier) were spacious and comfortable. Resturaunt was very high standard. Hotel services were excellent. Only complaint I had for the entire stay was the air conditioner was a bit cantankerous. I would highly recommend the hotel for quality inner city stays. I will certainly be back.

This hotel was in an excellent location in the CBD. The hotel is inside a shopping mall which is unique and very very handy.The service we experienced was excellent. Nothing was a problem. Check in and check was a breeze.I would highly recommend this place to stay.

After 4 trips to Melbourne in 4 years we enjoyed our stay at Novotel the most. It was a delight to be greeted at the desks by such friendly people & that was one of the highlights of our holiday. Also enjoyed the buffet breakfast.Would definately stay there again.

We were greeted on the footpath by a very personable staff member who enquired about the reason for our stay. When we said that it was for a concert in the evening we were advised on how long it would take to walk to the venue and what the anticipated weather conditions were.We received a very friendly welcome at reception and then proceeded to our room on the 7th floor. The room presented beautifully with very tasteful decor and a patio area outside the windows.We slept very comfortably and enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast in the morning. There were computer and printer facilities available for printing out our boarding passes on the plane home and we were able to check our bags in while we wandered around Melbourne for a few more hours before heading to the airport. We were advised on when to arrive back at the hotel to collect our bags and catch a taxi out to the airport so that we had ample time before our flight once we got there.We had an excellent experience staying at the Novotel Melbourne on Collins and I would most definitely stay there again next time we visit Melbourne.

We had a fabulous stay at the Novotel. The staff were all warm, friendly and very helpful. Great that Novotel have a MAC corner as it meant we could reduce the number of emails we wanted to receive when we returned home and my husband could keep up with his beloved sports.My only disappointment was that although we had a 'superior' room, due to the massive windows facing the internal atrium to avoid the street noise of Collins, there was very little natural light and being a SAD sufferer, this immediately affected me. Fortunately we weren't in the room for long periods but I certainly found that bit hard.I did thank the staff before we left but I'd like to publicly thank them again for our stay

On arrival we where welcomed and having boked for 9 nights where told they had put us in one of their best suites. mGreat, this is what we wanted. Only to be rudely waken Monday morning 7am to stranger entering our room. Explanation: the duty manager rang us at 8am to appologize that staff had entered our room because it was to be referbished that day and could be kindly pack our things and move out. Not hearing from the Hotel all day was very disappointing, being put on the top floor up where the roof rattles and the bed was one of a kind. My response at check out was that "good thing we weren't in our honeymoon fase as the bed was (as normal) two king singles pused together with hard services so each time you crossed the middle it was like rolling over a railway track and then into cot still bed. Good for not rolling out of. Thanks to the staff the did give us a big bottle of champagne and a note stating they where sorry. Pity we don't like champagne and had to fly (some lucky person got a nice bottle our of it)Staff where lovely, pity about the house cleaning side of things.

service,location,food,were very good ,but we could not sleep properly as the A/C fan was a bit noisy,also I have noticed that the room was not cleaned properly especialy the toilet.I do appreciate the fact that they gave me the room early as I arrived from the airport early morning and the room was ready,that was great.

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I found the staff friendly and helpful in particular the Concierge went out of their way to assist and make my time in the city fun. Really enjoyed the Smorgasbord breakfast to.

I got a good night sleep which was rare. Usually do not sleep well staying in a hotel just for one night.Great service, and received free internet use. However, that might be due to the fact that I was upgraded to a 'premier room'. But great service nevertheless.

Novotel Melbourne On Collins: 4.0 out of 5 stars "AIR CONDITIONING DOSENT WORK PROPERLY"

we stayed at this lovely hotel in the heart of melboure. we had stayed there 2 weeks earlier in a standard room. The air con was my only complaint, it worked but would never go below 19degrees at night. we wanted it set on 17 as the room is hot anyway and at night with a doona on it bcomes uncomfortable to sleep. when i mentioned this at check out they notice i was returning and offered me a free upgrade to their superior rooms (free internet, king size bed and a free bottle of champagne! - this isnt normally part of one of these rooms). anyway the upgrade rooms was very nice no complaints except yep the air con did the same as the other room would not go below 19. we didnt complain when we left we just wont be going back to this hotel as it may sound like a small complaint but your comfort is very important when staying in a hotel room and this was uncomfortable.Peter

The location of the hotel is fantastic. I had a local friend that needed to stay the night & the hotel was unable to split the king bed with such short notice & they obligingly gave my friend a room for the night at no cost. This was greatly appreciated after a very late night on the townWould gladly return.

Nice hotel. Lovely new room with king bed. Great service and hotel is close proximity to shops. However the parking costs $35 which is to expensive and should be included in price of room.

Novotel Melbourne is in an excellent location close to all the major venues and shops. transport is at your doorstep, although once inside the building you would not know, it is very quiiet with generous size rooms, that are neat, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is an enjoyable experience with a grand array of foods available. Only had one problem, the TV and once reported it was repaired within 15 minutes, amazing.! IWith helpful staff throughout this Hotel, I am sure you and/or your family will have a happy visit here. I would stay at this hotel again. Enjoy - Kodak

What more could you ask for, you walk out onto Collins Street in the heart of the CBD and directly in front of you is Tiffany's and Lindt Chocolate Shop with a view from the lobby inside Australia on Collins. Awesome location.

Nice room, big bed, nice recliner chair for watching the big screen TV.Would have liked a bath in a premium room.Bar fridge was noisy at night - I think it's cupboard should have had a door.

The staff at Novotel on collins very friendly and helpful. We had a toilet malfunction which reulted in no water for a few hour and couldnt shower so missed our dinner reservation so they shouted us dinner and cocktail plus upgraded us to a premium suite. would recomend this hotel to everyone

Our stay was very enjoyable . We had booked a queen room &were upgraded to king room. King bed was fantastic nice and comfortable. Room faced Collins Street but we did not hear any traffic noise. Staff were great in all areas. Had meal in restaurant was very nice price reasonable. Would recommend this motel to anyone.

Great hotel as expected from the Novotel Hotel chain, Good location with friendly staff.A quick stroll to basically any area in the CBD. Taxi and trams outside entrance was very convenient. Rooms are spacious and bedding comfortable.We stay at Novotel where ever we can around the world, Breakfast buffet with a great variety of choices.Highly recommended to anyone that wants to stay at a great and affordable place away from home.

We booked for 10 days, our third stay at this hotel, and it was the worst room we have ever had,our room badly needed renovating, we over looked Collins St, looking directly into a building being renovated. After our initial 7 days we did look to stay at another Accor hotel, but unfortunately every where was booked up. The reception staff and consierge were not particularly friendly but the restaurant and bar staff were.

The friendliness and assistance of the every staff member encountered was exceptional. The buffet breakfast was a treat and a leisurely start to the day. The feather top bed was divine. I would have preferred the option of a blanket rather than the doona as I find it far too hot. The location near shopping and Little Bourke St restaurants remains a reason to stay at this location. Overall , a wonderful few days.

All i expect from a hotel is a decent sleep. After a late night at work i was woken up at 7am by someone from maintainence. Then i ordered a beverage from room service and went back to sleep and again someone knocks on my door to ask for the empty cup back. Again at 9.30 someonce calls my room and asks me if i had asked for maintainence to come up to fix the shower which i had the told the other personat 7 am that i did not!!! anyways I complained at the reception and i was told i should have put the 'do not disturb' sign out....but who asks for the cups back in half hour of delivering the coffee??
