Stayed here for 3 nights. the hotel was by no means full and got a good deal on the internet but when we asked if we could extend the stay as the location was good for us we were told a MUCH higher price and no deals to match what we got so stayed at the much classier Pentahotel instead (cheaper and included a superb breakfast) . The entrance was like a skating rink with little attempt to make it safe for arrival guests. Did not eat here. Gym was a joke...Rooms small. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were dreadful. On the plus side it was a good location and quiet.

I reserved a SUPERIOR room at the Chemnitz Mercure hotel. The room had the area of about 4 square meters and quite basic equipment, about 20 years old. The key-card did not work, so I needed to come back to the reception desk. The receptionist could not help much – eventually I got metal traditional key. I left the car on the hotel parking place, in front of the entrance – in the morning I found out the side mirror was intentionally damaged. Being Sales Manager I have much experience with the hotels in Germany and I absolutely not recommend this one – at this price it is possible to find a better accommodation!

Restaurant closes at 10 pm which is a bit early. Arriving late after a long drive, we had to rush and we only been able to have a quick dinner.
