We have been staying at Hotel Königstein Hotel at various intervals since 1996 and have seen Dresden developing from "Dresdengrad"(Uwe Tellkamp) to this modern, friendly, and "behindertenfreundliche"(Our daughter, 10, is bound to a wheelchair) city, slowly regaining what it lost. The hotel is, I suppose, taken over from DDR Interhotels, which is a good idea, since it shows that you can make a nice, pleasant, clean hotel out of Soviet-style architecture, thereby reminding us, that things have not always been like this. The accomodation is excellent, price moderate and weather clear and warm(neither too hot or too rainy).

Family of three adults and one late teen staying in two rooms. Hotel staff very helpful. Rooms comfortable - though with a curious step up into the bathroom which takes some getting use to. Can be a bit slow using the lifts at busy times. Very handy for railway station, Dresden's sights and places to eat. Happy to stay there again, soon!

everything was just fine, especiallly taking into account 49eur price for 2 persons for a night. The only one small disadvantage was payable parking (0,5 eur / hour) and expensive internet (0,19 eur/min)

We travel to Dresden very often and allways we prefer to sleep in IBIS Dresden Konigstein.We are very satisfied in this hotel and we are looking forward to next stay.Generally we can talk that this hotel is excellent.
