"The right one"

Walking distance from main attractions and museums, just a few steps away from railway station, this hotel was really a good choice. Rooms are not the largest ever, but I could sleep very well. Nice idea to place the shower in the middle of the room. Was also good to have SPA facilities, including steam bath and sauna. Wide choice and good quality of food at breakfast. In a few words, I really got good value for money.

Although the rooms are small, they are very elegant and clean. The glass-cube shower design is not suitable for families, though.The view is very nice in the north-side rooms, but not much at the south-side.Location is very good in the middle of shopping area, but you need to walk at least 20 minutes to reach the heart of the old city. You can still use the street train.Breakfast is nice, although not suitable for a 4-star hotel. I have stayed several times in Pullman Stuttgart and the breakfast there was much more better.One major drawback: I have booked the business package, and internet did not work with me. Till now I don't know the reason; it could be from my side of course. But the point is, the 3rd party provider (3M connect) hotline never responded, and the hotel could not provide any kind of support. Bottom line: it may work with you, but if doesn't, no one will help you. I had to buy internet access and a USB stick to stay connected.Generally, I will probably stay there again if I visit Dresden, but I will think twice about breakfast, and certainly I will not book internet in the hotel.

I tried to order my breakfast to my room, hang my note outside at 10pm asked for a delivery at 630am, didn’t get any. I would like to leave quick and early that day, didn’t work that well.But any way a nice hotel.

The Pullman Dresden Newa is a very nice hotel on the Pragerstrasse, close to both the shopping and sightseeing centre of Dresden. The regular rooms are not large but comfortable and the transparent shower in the middle makes it appear airier. The rooms also have excellent views over either the historic centre or the railway station (no worries, there is no noise from either direction).The staff is extremely helpful and efficient. We also sampled the retaurant, which offers excellent local and French cuisine, definitely worth a try during your stay.Finally it is also dog friendly and offers an underground garage, which may be a feature to those travelling by car. This has been our second stay at the hotel and we will definitely be returning on our next stay to the city.

I was forced to accept a smoking room and the manner and method was unacceptable. I outlined the need for a non-smoking room due to an asthma condition with particular sensitivity to smoke. No effort was made to accommodate me despite clear changes to others with a similar request.

it is better to go there before other Pullman hotel (specially before Berlin) - price looks like lower, but service is not on the same standards. Smaller room, not flat TV, old sauna and no swimmingpool

Nothing to say about Pullman hotels, because they always are on the excelent locations, services are always high quality and rooms very confortable to relax during the sleep.

The Pullman is located close to the Dresden Main Station and right Prager Strasse which connect the station with the historic town center. The hotel was build during the time of the German Democratic Republic. Today the rooms offer a high standard and hotel as a whole has been remodeled in very modern look. Don't forget to close the curtains before you take a shower, because it's an open glass box in the middle of the room which might be seen from the street, especially if you are on a lower floor at night with the lights on :)). If I ever return to Dresden, I think I'll stay there again.

"The Middle Shower"

We had read lots of reviews that mentioned the shower being in the middle of the room. Well they weren't wrong on that score... an unusual position, but kind of quirky and interesting. It certainly isn't a problem (as long as you're with close friends) and made a good point of discussion. The room was extremely clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was very nice throughout, Breakfast was excellent. The only problem for us was the lack of Tea & Coffee making facilities in the room - that would have made it just perfect :)

Hotel Pullman has a very good location for both tourist and business travelers. It is on the end of pedestrian zone Prager str. There are only eleven car park spaces in front of the hotel but right under is a garage with plenty of space. It cost 12E for 24 h starting from noon and add 1 E for each hour after check out. No direct access to garage from hotel. Easy 15 min walking to old town. Check in and check out was fast. The room we got was on 6th floor and overlooking on Prager str. shops and restaurants. Window from bottom to top. Glass shower cabin in the middle of the room. Weird but cool. Everything immaculate. Expected the flat tv but got big fat cathode tube tv incorporated in old furniture holding it. Anyway we didnt use it but little off standard for 4 stars Accor in Germany. Breakfast was good. Nothing special just an average buffet choice. All in all, for the price we paid a little disappointment. For 30 more E thats 15 per head You get Hilton in the middle of old town-same range hotel but higher standards. Everything in Dresden is well marked including every hotels so if You come by car virtually no need for gps. The signs are on every crossing. Old town beautifully restored full of tourists but only after 11am. If You come around 9am U can enjoy in all of its attractions almost alone. Dresden- a definite must.
