"Value for money"
16th May 2012, Goodtogo57, Melbourne, Australia
We decided to go for a more spacious room, so booked the one bedroom apartment. Whilst not ultra modern, it was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for 2. The service at check-in was very friendly and efficient. There was a query over package inclusions and this was resolved immediately. At breakfast we ordered eggs which were mistakenly given to the wrong table. The waiter was very apologetic and offered us complimentary coffees. We noticed the airport bus at the front of the hotel, so it would be a great location for anyone wanting easy access to Melbourne Airport. The location is walking distance to restaurants, shops, theatres and the market. We took advantage of a special deal, so at half price-it was fantastic value.
"A Great Stay"

We stay at this hotel every year. Their service is amazing and the rooms always perfect, we can always rely on the staff to make our stay the best it can possibly be. Thanks!

Bathroom shower should be Hand Held - ladies need hand held showers! The wardrobe is just too small ( for 2 persons and more than 2 nights stay)The cupboard in our room was too small and there was an ironing board inside, thus making it even smaller to hang clothes. We had to live out of the luggage.
"Great Hotel"
6th May 2012, Launceston, Australia
I often stay at this hotel when in Melbourne. Position is great, so close to the markets walking distance to the city and a tram stop just around the corner. Always eat in the restaurant for breakfast which offers a great selection of food. Unfortunately the self serve coffee machine was out of order but the waiter was only too happy to make our beverages. Definitely recommend and would stay again.
"ืnot too bad."

The price that I got is acceptable cause I'm a member of Accorhotel. Parking fee is 25 dollars for 24 hours. No free internet or wifi at anywhere in this hotel. And last thing extra charge for credit card payer.

"Fire alarms and dirty water"
16th April 2012, chicken7227, Mission Beach, Australia
The location of Ibis is great. Unfortunately the rest of the stay wasn't. The fire alarms sounded at around 12.30 and 12.45am, waking guests up or keeping them awake. Another guest told me this has happened throughout week. Also the running water in bathroom was dirty.

Management responseThank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am sorry you were disturbed by a hotel fire alarm, as you know these are fitted for the safety and protection of our guests and there are times when these are set off by our residents to alert us of any possible issues. I was disappointed to read about the water issue as I have not had a comment like this before. I do hope this was a one off event, however I am having this looked into by our maintenance team.Thank you again and my apologies for the inconveniences, I do hope you will choose to stay with us again in the future.RegardsJade Stunden

"Convenient location"
12th April 2012, myoung023, Hobart
Just a short walk from Melbourne Central, the Ibis Melbourne is the probably the best choice of CBD hotels if your budget is an issue. While there aren't that many extra features to the hotel (aside from the restaurant/bar), the comfort level of the rooms make this hotel far more enticing than the CBD Formule1. The staff are pleasant and friendly.
"Close to everything"
10th April 2012, Bairnsdale
Great city location with easy access to public transport.Usually stay at this hotel when in Melb but the service level for the room is dropping ie: if you stay longer than one night (we stayed 3 this time) tea/coffee/milk/ used cups/glasses don't get replaced each day and the beds don't get made up each day, the fridge didn't work (reported this but they simply switched power plugs with achieved nothing), towels (pretty raggy some of them) which were hung up to indicate that they did not need to be replaced and to be enviro friendly were replaced everyday!

Management responseThank you for your recent review of our hotel. I would very much like to discuss these matters with you as I am extremely suprised about the room servicing issues you raised. Our policy is to service all rooms every day unless a 'do not disturb' sign is placed out by our guests. We also take our committment to sustainability very seriously.I would love you to contact me directly on h1564-gm01@accor.com when it is convenientThank you againJade Stunden

"A Good Discovery in a good Place"
6th April 2012, Sydney, Australia
The stay was perfect. The location was great and close to places I needed to be; a short walk to Carlton for breakfast each day and close to Southern Cross and Flinders St for train travel to Bendigo and Geelong. The room was quite large and had a good feel about it with good fittings such as wardrobes and TV. The bathroom was excellent although the plug in the basin took a few minutes to work out !! Thought the breakfast was overpriced and always enjoy a breakfast at Brunetti Carlton in any case. Previously stayed at Novotel Collins St and Mercure in Spring St both being excellent also. Would recommend the Ibis Melbourne to anyone wanting a good hotel in a suitable location close to stations and trams

"What more could we ask for?"
5th April 2012
The answer to our needs. Great location, pleasant and prompt customer service, no disturbing noise, clean and spacious room with plenty of storage space. We will defiantly be staying here again.
"An enjoyable stay"

"Great hotel, Great Location"
8th March 2012, John T, Sydney, Australia
The service at the Ibis Melbourne is really good. Friendlyand genuine staff. This hotel is really good for Business trips to Melbourne with great 1 bedroom apartments that are great size. Based near Vic Markets trams run regularly to the CDB. I travel a great deal and generally couldn't fault the service or hotel.
"Would stay again, but not venture out at night."
21st February 2012, Gold Coast
The hotel was of a good standard for its age, rooms were clean, bathroom clean & towels of acceptable quality for this accomodation. The only let down was the area, my husband & I did not feel comfortable walking outside late at night, we where followed and felt we need to return to the hotel.. Having stated the area was a "let down", it was very close to the Queen Victoria Markets and in daylight hours it was great.
"Melbourne City"
16th February 2012, Perth, Australia
Excellent and very helpful service - nothing was too hard for the staff to do. Close to markets and major transport routes of Elizabeth and Swanston Sts. Room was clean and modern. Had usual niggly complaints that even 5 star hotels seem to suffer from (but shouldn't because they are usually very simple to remedy) including leaky shower rose joints, poorly tuned TV wth skin tones glowing red and 4:3 transmission stretched over 16:9 screen (fat faces) with no user controls to adjust. Architect should be shot as the bedroom door opened onto the bathroom door so that you needed to close the bedroom door behind you to get into the bathroom - a sliding door on the bedroom would have fixed this. Why do hotels insist on putting the shower over a bath where there is no shoulder or elbow room??
"Ibis Melbourne"
15th February 2012, Singapore
The Ibis Melbourne is great for its location. Very near Victoria Market and the city is just a pleasant 10 minute walk away.Recently repainted, it is bright and cheery. The 2 bedroom apartment is perfect when travelling with family and small children. Gives the convenience of a "home" environment which makes it more comfy for handling young children.Would appreciate free wi-fi.
"Ibis Melbourne"
14th February 2012, Perth, Australia
Having stayed at this hotel previously I had no hesitation in staying here again. The Ibis offers great value for money situated on the edge of the CBD, close to Victoria Markets and only a short tram ride to the centre of Melbourne. The room was comfortable but not lavish and the bed afforded comfortable and quiet sleep. Even though there was some building mainetance going on with surrounding buildings there was no noise problems. The staff were friendly and obliging and the meals in the restaurant were satisfactiry.
"Melbourne Visit"
10th February 2012, Perth, Australia
Although my stay was relatively short, I found the location of the hotel ideal for it's proximety to the university and the CBD. The staff were very helpful and friendly.I suppose my only complaint was being charged and extra $30 for a hour late checkout. Most other hotels I have stayed at have allowed a late checkpot at no extra cost.I will definately stay at IBIS when visiting Melbourne again.
"Excellent Ibis Hotel"
9th February 2012, Yeppoon, Australia
Very conveniently located in Melbourne CBD, within walking distance to everything! My colleague and I walked everywhere we needed to go which saved money on public transport. Highly recommend the Ibis Hotel!
"Uncomfortable beds poor aircon"
7th February 2012, Darwin
Very average stay. Cheap but I wouldn't pay any more. The beds were very uncomfortable and the airconfluctuated over night. Decor was not welcoming and neither were the reception staff. The location is great for the Vic markets although there is a fair amount of street noise and a crappy view from the hotel window.

"Australia day weekend"
5th February 2012, Sydney, Australia
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with friends and could not have been more satisfied with stay. Room was spacious enough for 2 couples with living area and small kitchen/dinning table for 4 (basic kitchenette only no stove). If you're looking to stay in the centre of the city then this place is probably not well suited as it is on the border of CBD & Carlton, however free city tram is near by so as the Victoria Markets & Lygon Street eateries. Reasonably clean and comfortable considering price range. would recommend to those who don't mind a 10 minute flat walk into Melbourne CBD shops.
"Short and sweet"
2nd February 2012, Famileigh, Perth, Australia
2 days to do Melbourne, we did the best we could in that short time and we stayed in a great location making it easy to get around. The staff were particularly helpful with suggestions for nightlife, shopping etc, which made the planning a whole lot easier. I desired a bath tub, so they upgraded our room, it was great, nothing to complain about, clean, comfortable and slept really well, of course the soak in the tub helped after a long day out!. Breakfast one morning at hotel, buffet all you could ask for and service and staff were terrific , the next morning the Victoria markets for brekky and a shop, as they at end of street, so many food locations to choose from, and always something is open. The weather was great when we were there so we walked or trammed it; the public transport in Melbourne is great............Melbourne...I LOVE IT, and yes I will be back to the Ibis, its affordable and really comfortable and leaves me with more to spend on the important things like dining and shopping.
"Hotel Ibis Melbourne"
27th January 2012, Melbourne, Australia
We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Hotel Ibis Melbourne. The room was clean, neat and furnished in a simple but modern way. We loved the air conditioning. We could control the temperature better than we could at other city motels and it was very quiet. The blinds provided full blockout and the bed was comfy so we had a very good night's sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant's dinner menu provided a good range and was reasonably priced. Service was great also. Our only complaint would be that it was a shame there was not a lift from the carpark. Carting luggage up stairs would not be easy for everyone. However staff did advise us that it would be easier to offload our luggage before parking.
"Helpful Staff"
25th January 2012, Warrnambool, Australia
The staff were very helpful, advice was very forthcoming. The one night accomodation was pleasant, the staff were very helpful during the fire alarm, directing us and letting us know what was happening.Local knowledge of shopping was also welcomed from staff.
"Family stay"
24th January 2012, Adelaide
We were in hotel when fire alarm was set off, false alarm. As we have a 6 year old who was woken up we were annoyed that the alarm took so long to be turned off once it was established as a false alarm.
