ibis Muenchen City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel"

10th May 2012, A265, Moscow, Russia

Very good location - near central train station, tram, S- and U- station. Not far from the centre of Munich. Not very big but clean rooms.

ibis Muenchen City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Small shower"

9th May 2012, annrenee29, Wiesbaden, Germany

Everything was great! Great service, location and cleanliness. Beds were quite firm which some like and some don't. But the showers were exceptionally small even for the smallest of people.

ibis Muenchen City: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Stay away from this hotel"

27th April 2012, London

...unless you don't like to sleep. But in that case, why would you need a hotel? The location of the hotel is superb, and the overall quality of the rooms follows the expected Ibis standard. So far, so good. The problem starts when you try to sleep. You can hear every door slamming in your corridor, in the floor above you, and in the floor below you. It's incredible noisy. Very old building with thin walls and you can expect a night or morning listening to a concert of slamming doors. The hotel's crew were very nice though, I stayed two nights and in the second they tried to put me in one of the best rooms available, but it was still impossible to sleep. I don't recommend this one.

ibis Muenchen City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Always good to be at Ibis"

22nd April 2012, mohantci, Frankfurt am Main

At Ibis one knows what to expect - a clean, minimal service experience. The room, clothes almirah, bathroom is just large enough. It is walking distance from the main station and one saves a lot of money in not taking taxis.

ibis Muenchen City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "nice location"

12th April 2012, Groningen, The Netherlands

Spending easter holiday in Munich, staying in this hotel is nice. The location is very close to the central station, so if you plan to go to other city surrounding Munich (e.g. Salzburg, Dachau, Fussen, etc), you will only spend small time to walk to the station.

ibis Muenchen City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "avarage"

6th April 2012, Burcin U, Frankfurt, Hessen, Germany

Centrally located but Arda of locanın is not very good. services wise everything was very good. Rooms were small but clean. Car park was relatively expensive according to the others..

ibis Muenchen City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great location"

22nd March 2012, Worldtraveller64111, Budapest, Hungary

It is a typical IBIS hotel. The location is great. It is very close to the city. The staff is friendly the rooms are simple but clean. The breakfast is much better then the average IBIS standard. the price was reasonable. This hotel is good choice for a city escape.

ibis Muenchen City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "15 minutes satisfaction guarantee? Only if you have time to complain..."

20th March 2012, Lavras, Brazil

We went on Ibis Munich when it was freezing about -20ºC. The heating system of our room wasn't working and they took more than 15 minutes to find a fully functional room. After that, nobody remembered that 15 minutes policy and I didn't have time to complain.Unfortunately, Ibis quality is getting down and the price keeps raising. It's not the same hotel chain from 3 or 4 years ago.Besides that, the location is good, just 2 blocks from Hauptbahnhof, like so many hotels with the same quality and price range.

ibis Muenchen City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Convenient City Hotel"

5th March 2012, Brussels, Belgium

Clean, nice, friendly staff and well taking care of customers.Breakfast is always same. Can you change sometime? This is my only request.Front space is small. It's better have more spaces.5 min walk to the main station is very convenient.

ibis Muenchen City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Good location, resonable prices, nice rooms"

5th March 2012, Moscow, Russia

We stayed at this hotel for the 2nd time on our trip to Alps. The hotel has a very good location: 5-10 minutes walk to main train station, shopping centers, historical center, cafe for breakfast and restaurants. We've got a nice room at the 7th stock with a king size bed for us, adults and a separate bed for our child. The only thing we'd like to have is a small fridge. There's a need to store a food for small children.

ibis Muenchen City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "perfect location"

4th March 2012, orlando

this hotel is perfect located on munich downtown, only a few blocks from the main railway station, the rooms are perfect clean, but they are too small, and those who travel with a friend the bed stays very close to each other, they should have twin rooms a little bigger than a double bed rooms, the sleep is quiet noisy because the tram that pass in front the hotel, so get used with the sound, in general i do say is a hotel to sleep only, after one day visiting munich area. think before book it, because i did find better hotels on the internet after i was there in the same price range.

ibis Muenchen City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "n/a"

23rd February 2012, randolph, nh

Need free WiFi in all the rooms, like in your ETAP hotels..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

ibis Muenchen City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "3* room, 4* Breakfast, 2* Reception"

15th February 2012, Goeppingen

Location -> Good, Breakfast -> I rate 4 star, Room -> Ibis as it is: basic, clean, warm Reception -> not friendly, as an A-Club Member I expected free WiFi which was not given, I did not like the culture of full payment upon Check-In.

ibis Muenchen City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "great stopover location"

15th February 2012, WestYorkshireTornado, West Yorkshire

Stopped twice here in February 2012 either side of a rail trip into Austria. Reception staff were so welcoming and helpful on both occaisons we were taken by surprise considering the general attitude of many hotels nowadays. Good location for Munich's main train station and also for shopping area - plenty of public transport links adjacent. Two traditional beer halls within a short walk away. Rooms however were very cramped, especially the shower room but ok for one/two nights if you are not on the large side. rooms have timber floors so noise is transmitted from above try and get top floor. Bed comfortable but not the pillows.

ibis Muenchen City: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Internet"

5th February 2012, Manila, Philippines

For this room-rate (EURO 179 told me the reception) you should expect to get in each room a free wireless internet! But you have to buy a voucher quite expensive and then the signal is very bad in the room......and a very slow speed. Why is every IBIS HOTEL different? I just did come from Innsbruck and there was a perfect internet-connection (by cable) free in each room......

Management responseDear Ibis Guest,I wish to thank you for your detailed information about what you experienced, thus giving us the opportunity to come back to you in writing. Your comments are very important for us in order to check on our quality and to improve accordingly. I understand that you are a little bit astonished and upset that you have to pay € 179 during the ISPO fair at the Ibis in Munich, and have to buy an additional voucher for the internet access in your room. You complain that every Ibis is different, well unfortunately a few things are handled different in each country. So for instance in Germany on the one hand side we offer a larger variation on the breakfast buffet with coffee specialties free of charge, but on the other hand we only have free Wifi in the lobby. In Austria, where you stayed before, for instance the Internet access is free of charge.I do really hope that our explanations will find your acceptance and understanding, and remain,With best regards Christian Koentopp, General manager Ibis Munich City

ibis Muenchen City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A night in Ibis Muenchen City"

9th January 2012, Moscow, Russia

The hotel was a good choice for a one-night stay. It is very close to the center & to the Main Railway Station. The room was a standard ibis size: small room, little place to store your clothes & small bathroom. But if you are staying at ibis, it's no surprise. The employees are friendly and ready to help. The breakfast was perfect: good variety of food, everything was very tasty (breakfast was included in the room rate) I advice not to take rooms looking to Dachauer str. Sometimes the trams are too loud.
