ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 3.0 out of 5 stars "mean sized rooms"

4th September 2013, lessismore2013, London, United Kingdom

If you suffer with claustrophobia this is not a place for you. Even for a normal person would be difficult to bear more than 3 nights.Yes all facilities are there BUT the room is so small even for a couple, one has to sit to let the other one pass around the room. and than there is the aspect of being overlooked by the neighbouring flats if you get a room to the inner court, though quieter. My elbows took quite a bashing especially in the bathroom. Handy for the Metro access to the Centre but maybe not the most reassuring area when returning late at night. Only twin beds available with mattresses swinging from side to side... As summers are hot in Paris you'll need to open the window but try avoiding putting up a show on the way to the bathroom, even with the curtains on all the time - more claustrophobia. Parking places, though safe, are very limited and at extra cost made worst by not being able to reserve online. Wifi connection not the most steady, BBCWorld as the only english channel was ON one day, OFF the next two...The only plus would be a decent, wholesome breakfast to set you up for the day.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great base for family break in Paris."

15th August 2013, zydertractor, Brecon, United Kingdom

We had a great weekend break at the Ibis Paris la Villette. I've stayed here before and was pleased to see that the hotel is still great value for money (all you can eat breakfast is a must). We brought 5 bicycles with us and the friendly staff allowed us to keep them safe inside the hotel. We parked on the road in front of the hotel for the whole weekend (free). The area is a vibrant cultural mix and very safe. A short walk to the Science Museum and a fantastic cycle ride, on dedicated cycle paths, to the centre of the city. The bike path follows the canal, and runs from the front door of the hotel - highly recommended. If you are taking your family to Paris, stay here. The metro is only round the corner and if you have bikes, cycle the city!

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Small rooms, no AC"

23rd July 2013, Chris_A2L, Stockholm, Sweden

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Choosed the hotel due to location and price. The rooms where minimal, more like the Budget brand rather than std Ibis. The lack of airconditioning / no proper ventilation was not what we expected.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 4.0 out of 5 stars "good"

Comfortable hotel, very small rooms! But, clean, very comfortable bed and very clean. The hotel is not in central Paris, 5 minutes walk from the Metro line 7 leads most tourist attractions.Recommended for those who know Paris

Very easy to each from Gare Nord, few minutes by taxi. Excellent for business traveller but also for holiday purposes. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in the area, metro stations in walking distance also

The hotel provided value for money. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were smaller than expected but warm and clean. The hotel was situated near shops and close to a number of metro stations.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good location to visit Paris"

3rd December 2012, PinkFlamingo405, Brussels, Belgium

The location is great within walking distance of the Metro, close to the périphérique and the hotel has own parking space.Unfortunately the lady at check in (a Spanish native lady) was very rude and unfriendly. Suddenly, once she knew I was working for ACCOR too, she became "fake" driendly. During breakfast we had no croissants, only one coffee machine was working, no glasses were available and we had to drink out of take away mugs.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel"

25th October 2012, Figa1000, thionville

Hotel in a nice location near the Channel St Martin, if you are lucky you can get a room with a view on the Cite de la Science and the Channel. Clean and newly furnished rooms. Metro nearby. Breakfast served until 12.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Tiny rooms..."

24th September 2012, JKRUPI, Leeds, UK

Very small rooms, old decor, toilet/shower room tiny... not worth paying over 100 euro for a stay... didn't even have ironing board which wasn't what I expected from hotel where business people stay.Only good side is location right next to canal - quite nice area for walking.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 4.0 out of 5 stars "La Villette"

9th August 2012

Excellent location, close to the lovely park and ideal for the museum, and many little bars and reataurants.Friendly easy check in/out, good welcome.Room was lovely and clean, only fault was the double bed was 2 singles together, that kept sliding apart .Would love to see tea and coffee facilities in all ibis rooms.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Weekend in Paris"

13th May 2012, blackduiker, Berlin, Germany

Apart from the breakfast which is served in an ambiance of a canteen (9.00 €) it is a good value for money

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Value"

7th May 2012, Carrollton, Texas, USA

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting our son that lived close to this hotel. So for us the location was great. It was a very clean hotel and the people were very friendly and helpful. The other comments about thin walls was true but the beds were very comfortable so we had no problems getting rest. It was nice that the hotel was right by the canal and we could go out in the morning and go for a jog along the banks. The pastry shop was not far and the train station was a short walk away. Felt very safe and we walked all over the area.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good"

The service was good and the ambiance as well. The room was quiet and cleen, even if it was not so very big.

ibis Paris la Villette Cite des Sciences 19th: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great experience, to be repeated"

4th March 2012, rguilarducci, Haifa, Israel

The hotel is not that easy to find only with the textual orientation given at your website, at least not if you're getting there by métro. I'd suggest you to make available maps showing the suggested routes from the 3 closest métro stations. That is very handy, especially, after you have travelled for some hours. All you want is to get to where you will be staying. But the instructions are not bad. I got there by using them. It's just a hint you may or may not take, just to make it easier to those who are getting there by métro. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. They're always ready to help and much respectful. They are very good hosts. I would like to congratulate Accor for the excellent level of service you provide. One thing that was not very pleasing, though, was that I could hear the people from other rooms. I don't know if that is a trade-off Accor would be willing to take, but it would be nice if the rooms had some sort of sound block, or something like that. There was a fight on my first night there, and I was thankful it was held in a language I didn't understand...The breakfast is very good! I especially enjoyed the counter with regional products! This adds a very nice experience, that is to get to know a little better the local cuisine and customs through their food. I really enjoyed that and I would suggest that you would do the same in all Ibis hotels, if possible. Well, at least in those located on touristic places. The flyers available right in front of the elevators, with tourist info and attractions is very helpful and it's very nice that you provide wi-fi to the guests. Really, I couldn't see why I would not stay in an Ibis hotel anywhere I went.
