ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Weekend in Paris"

13th May 2012, blackduiker, Berlin, Germany

Apart from the breakfast which is served in an ambiance of a canteen (9.00 €) it is a good value for money

ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Value"

7th May 2012

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting our son that lived close to this hotel. So for us the location was great. It was a very clean hotel and the people were very friendly and helpful. The other comments about thin walls was true but the beds were very comfortable so we had no problems getting rest. It was nice that the hotel was right by the canal and we could go out in the morning and go for a jog along the banks. The pastry shop was not far and the train station was a short walk away. Felt very safe and we walked all over the area.

The service was good and the ambiance as well. The room was quiet and cleen, even if it was not so very big.

ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great experience, to be repeated"

4th March 2012, rguilarducci, Haifa, Israel

The hotel is not that easy to find only with the textual orientation given at your website, at least not if you're getting there by métro. I'd suggest you to make available maps showing the suggested routes from the 3 closest métro stations. That is very handy, especially, after you have travelled for some hours. All you want is to get to where you will be staying. But the instructions are not bad. I got there by using them. It's just a hint you may or may not take, just to make it easier to those who are getting there by métro. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. They're always ready to help and much respectful. They are very good hosts. I would like to congratulate Accor for the excellent level of service you provide. One thing that was not very pleasing, though, was that I could hear the people from other rooms. I don't know if that is a trade-off Accor would be willing to take, but it would be nice if the rooms had some sort of sound block, or something like that. There was a fight on my first night there, and I was thankful it was held in a language I didn't understand...The breakfast is very good! I especially enjoyed the counter with regional products! This adds a very nice experience, that is to get to know a little better the local cuisine and customs through their food. I really enjoyed that and I would suggest that you would do the same in all Ibis hotels, if possible. Well, at least in those located on touristic places. The flyers available right in front of the elevators, with tourist info and attractions is very helpful and it's very nice that you provide wi-fi to the guests. Really, I couldn't see why I would not stay in an Ibis hotel anywhere I went.

ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 2.0 out of 5 stars "would not rate"

18th February 2012, Banbury, United Kingdom

would not recommend. out of the way in an up and coming area down some back alley where you would not feel very safe. Restaurant staff at the hotel were very rude and did not meet even basic requirements and felt they were not to happy to be of service compared to what they would do for the french customers. only person i could recommend was the gentleman behind the counter, his english was great and extreamly helpful with hints and tips

ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 4.0 out of 5 stars "MICK H"

16th February 2012, Cussy en Morvan

Stayed at this hotel a couple of times over last two years. Stayed for the last two weekends and I dont fault it . The staff are very friendly and will help with any request you may have. This is my first choice for a reasonable priced hotel in Paris.

ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very clean hotel"

3rd September 2011, Kostany

The hotel was very clean, rooms small but ok in this price category. A little bit loud in the night, we had rooms to courtyard ... Only few parking places for the car, stinky but secur garage. Near to subway (5 min. walk). Breakfast a little bit expensive, you can get one for the same price in city

ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Could have been fantastic..."

3rd September 2011

Location and food were good, very friendly/helpful staff. The first night i had a room on the 7th floor facing the river, unfortunately i had to move the following day due to the fact that there were some building works in the majority of the hotel and it became very nosy. In the second room, i had also some issues where doors were slamming quite loudly due to the rooms next door being cleaned in the morning. all were reported and i was offered to move hotel but the location was not great and further away from Paris, therefore declined. also there were no room service and no complementary toiletries which would have been a plus for this hotelOverall my stay was ok, could have been much better if the noises were absent.

ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good for the price"

5th August 2011, Jonny_Jager, Sydney, Australia

We booked here as Accor hotels had a big sale. The hotel was nice enough - clean, with friendly staff (especially in the restaurant). One thing that did irritate me though was having to get a new WiFi password every 24 hours, and only being restricted to 200mb of total traffic (both up/down), and only having 2 'free use' computers in the lobby. This was pretty disappointing for a hotel to be providing such little internet accessibility.I think that for the price the hotel was good (and especially by Paris standards), however I'm not sure I'd be too thrilled if I was paying full price.

ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences 19ème: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Need clearer instructions"

24th July 2011, Burnham

Room & shower were miniscule - Could hardly squeeze into the shower & nowhere to store luggage (3 nights as part of a 2 week holiday). I thought the French knew about wine - apparently not as the red wine in the restaurant had clearly just come out of the chiller - 5 degrees C
