ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Good value and great location"

1st March 2013, BaronessdeGallo, London, United Kingdom

We were really pleased that we chose this hotel. It was in a really good location near a metro and just near the lively bastille area, It was close enough to the centre that you could walk into town. The room is small but functional, I would recommend the breakfast, it was excellent. We didn't book the breakfast at the same time as the room as I thought we may be able to get something cheaper. But we went out on the first day to find something to eat and ended up paying a lot more for one dish and drinks than we would have paid for the hotel breakfast which is eat as much as you like. After that we just got the hotel breakfast and never looked back! Unless I win the lottery, next time I come to Paris I'll stay in this hotel.

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A comfortable weekend stay"

27th February 2013, Judewillroam, London, United Kingdom

We found this hotel to be very clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was good. We had a trouble free weekend and would definitely return. The only thing I would have improved would be to have a kettle in our room as it is difficult to get a decent, hot ( and large) cup of tea anywhere. It is probably worth noting that there is a large building site to the rear of the hotel, but there was no activity there during our weekend stay.

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good relation quality/price"

Very good and complete buffet for breakfast, Rooms a little bit small but clean and well isolated. Service friendly and helpful,Close to metro stations and centre.Good opportunities for having dinner nearby

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 5.0 out of 5 stars "5 great nights in Paris"

12th January 2013, Susie_20042002, Sydney, Australia

This was our third stay at Ibis Bastille Opera as it is located a few easy walking blocks from the busy Bastille entertainment area in Paris. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants nearby, some cheap and cheerful and others of a higher standard. The RER runs through the Bastille. This makes getting around Paris super quick. However, the metro station (Bruguet-Sabin was only a block away - too easy!)The hotel is clean, safe and friendly. Even though I often attempt to speak a little French, the staff are only too happy to assist you in English. The rooms are small and quiet, but adequate. The only consideration I would give is that the bathrooms are quite narrow and the hanging room is big enough for only a few items each. We also pushed our empty luggage under the bed as there was limited room for them. All in all, this hotel is great value for money.

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Small and cramped and unhelpful"

4th January 2013, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

We were on a holiday in Paris for 5 days and though IBIS Hotels are good. IBIS Paris Opear Bastille is a nice clean litte hotel but we reallly regretted staying there. Tiny room, tiny bath room. really cramped and clustrophobic. Lot of construction going on around so noise aglore. Serpentine ques everyday for a breafast which never changed a bit for all 5 days. Staff not to happy to help and dry. They are not to happy to speak English either, which does no good to anyone. Will not recommend. Lesson learnt. IBIS- never again.

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 4.0 out of 5 stars "OK"

27th December 2012, ping710, Jakarta, Indonesia

OK - it was a convenient place to stay near where the meeting were taking place and the service was all right except that there wasn't the usual eggs available which would have been nice in winter. The neighborhood was typical Paris and there was many convenient shops nearby and the Sunday market was a plus. There were some drunkards near the place

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 3.0 out of 5 stars "4 days in Paris"

18th December 2012, fatmaozkeser, Izmir, Turkey

we stay there for 3 nights the staff was freindly, the room was small but okey. the bed was good and clean but the towels where very old and we have to ask for more because there where very small and not enough. the location was very good. good restaurants near by.the distance to the downtown was good to reach to food

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good location"

21st November 2012, LeonardoBPeru, Lima, Peru

It was my first time in Paris and the location of the hotel was very good to execute my turism plan with my wife. The metro station Breguet Savin is just a couple of blocks and you can reach most famous location in less than 30 minutes. The room was pretty clean but also very small but it was enough for our purpose. It is a good alternative when travelling alone or with your couple. Enjoy your stay....

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice and centrally located"

19th October 2012, Melvyl, Indiana

This was the second stay at this particular Ibis for me, so there were no surprises. It it pleasant, clean and modern, the staff is very professional and friendly, and the rooms quite satisfactory, if somewhat small. It is well located, being close to the Marais, the Bastille area, and a Metro stop is just a block away.

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 2.0 out of 5 stars "I paid to have comfort, but I didn’t slept well for three nights."

17th October 2012, LuizIocken, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

I did four reservations during my travel in October 2012, all them in IBIS. Only in IBIS Bastille/Paris I had trouble. When I did the reservation there was not any information about the use of air conditioned, and I didn’t receive any information about changes in my reservation, just when I arrived in the room I realize that the air conditioned wasn’t able to be used. I immediately claim in the reception, so they told me that I had to sleep with de window open. Outside there was so noise that it was impossible (I made a video), I had to choose between the noise and the hot temperature inside de room. In the second day I claim again and they told me that they would put a fan in my room, but that never happened. I claim for the third time with the manager, that was very impolite and told me that he ONLY speaks French, not English. He asked me which temperature I wanted in the room, and I told his that I wanted 20°C, he ironically asked if 18°C or 19°C would be better. The upkeep went to my room and saw that the temperature was in 24°C, we back to tell the manager the result. The manager told us that is was cold outside and he couldn’t do anything. The upkeep suggested and changed my room for one more quiet (now I only had a bar in front of my room).I paid for a service that was unable. I paid to have comfort, but I didn’t slept well for three nights.

ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel, poor reception service"

1st September 2012, Bucuresti

Overall, nice hotel, close to main attractions in the centre of Paris, quiet and safe neighbourhood. Room a bit small by most standards but normal for Paris hotel standards (have been in a smaller one in Versailles for a a bigger price also). Free wi fi works ok, web corner has a pc you can use for internet, on-line check in , email etc and is free. Room cleaned once a day, bed made up, bathroom cleaned, towels changed no problems or lack of anything. Did not try the restaurant, but 2 bistros close by and a carrefour express supermarket. Only problem was lousy service by reception staff. My reservation for a double room was paid 2 months in advance and confirmed by email 1 week before arrival, with notification of late arrival (11PM local time). They did acknowledge this , but on arrival we received a twin room for the first night and changed to a double for the rest of the stay. On top of that, the key/cards expired 24hours before our departure, needing a new trip to the reception desk to get new ones. There are 2-4 receptionists on hand every time and very kind and speedy, their work leaves a lot to be desired in the quality department, especially if this is the care they give to an Accor fidelity club member,
