ibis Carcassonne Centre: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Just not up to the usual Accor IBIS Standard"

Very Small Rooms, Air Con not functioning despite 30 degree heat,Surrouunding area is basically derelictLocation is good for both new and old town, just needs some TLC

ibis Carcassonne Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Wet Sunday night in Carcasson"

9th March 2012, St Germain-sur-Gartempe

Pleasant greeting at reception and good info on nearby parking. Sunday evenings in French towns is always difficult for bars and restaurants, but receptionist directed us to a nice bar where we were directed to a good Brasserie.Excellent breakfast buffet, and only adverse commeny is regarding slightly cramped bathroom. Generally though,OK

ibis Carcassonne Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Just so so"

The room was so tight. There was old smell in the room. Breakfast was good. Parking slot was just 5. Staff was so formal not kind. The price is little bit overrated. It will be fit for 1day stop over.

28th July 2011, STAFFORD

Not the best Ibis that we have stayed in! Very small room and not at all comfortable.Parking was a nightmare as we could not get our vehicle down the access ramp! Ended up in secure parking in a very good public Car Park under the square Gambetta and found exit near hotel.

ibis Carcassonne Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Carcassonne Stay"

I have only one thing to say about my stay great great great. The staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. They has all the information that we required about thing to do & see in Town. Also gave us a great place to have dinner in town at a Creperie would definately recommend a stay.

ibis Carcassonne Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great value hotel"

25th June 2011

This hotel was in an ideal location - just across the bridge from the old city, but also near enough to the town centre/train station, so very convenient for both. Our room was basic and on the small side, but perfectly big enough for our needs (a place to sleep!). It was also very clean. There is free internet access in the lobby all the staff we encountered were friendly. The bus from the airport drops you just behind the hotel (just tell the driver where you're staying). If I had to find a complaint it would be that the rooms were not totally soundproof and you could hear when people next door were going in and out of their rooms, and talking outside their doors - but this really wasn't much of an issue. At €66 per night, it was a bargain, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the lovely Carcassonne.

Location of hotel was excellent - right on the square. Close to shops and the walled historical Carcassone was easily reachable. A plus was the location of the laundrymat right next to the hotel. After 6 days of travelling it was great to have something so close to wash. The service at the front desk was great and the breakfast was good. The rooms were clean but basic. Requested a non smoking room but the room next to us was a smoking one and we shared an air vent. So we felt we were smoking all night.I suppose we paid for the location of the hotel but the rooms were very small compared to others we stayed for the 4 days previously. The bathroom was tiny and the beds and comfort was basic. There was not much space for luggage either. Rooms need to be bigger. We only stayed for 1 night and considering that we were sight seeing for most of the day it was fine. But if staying for more than a day than the hotel would have been restrictive and uncomfortable.Overall as I was receiving material from the Accorhotels group prior to my stayed I expected a lot more in terms of comfort and value.

17th May 2011, Tours

Ideally siuated between the station and the old city. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good, the staff replenished the food regularly. The rooms are quite small and the bathroom was just a pod like many of the older Ibis hotels.

ibis Carcassonne Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel"

11th May 2011, Glasgow

Staff were very friendly & helpful - clean and not too noisy at night. Good location for a stay in Carcassonne. Rooms were OK and there is a lift to upper floors. Breakfast is basic and a bit expensive for what is available. Would certainly stay there again as it is very close to La Cite, just across the river. Underground parking available too, as there isn't much nearby.

ibis Carcassonne Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very convenient for both La Cite and the town"

9th May 2011, Knutsford

Great location, very close to the river, and easy walking distance to the medieval castle. Breakfast represented v good value. Hotel was clean but beginning to look a little tired in places. My wife and I both found the bed too hard for a good night's sleep; I ended up with back-ache on each of the 3 nights, otherwise our stay was fine. guests need to be aware that there isn't on-site parking, although there is a municipal underground one within the square in front of the hotel which is a reasonable 6€ per day

ibis Carcassonne Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Location"

13th February 2011, BeehiveBlue, Colchester, UK

The hotel is in a good location for both the walled city (10minute pleasant walk) and 5mins to the main shopping area of the new town. Room was clean and quiet, nothing special but perfectly acceptable for two or three nights as a base for sightseeing. Staff were very helpful pointing out good restaurants and the buffet breakfast was plentiful and relaxed.

The hotel is ideal for a short stay in Carcassonne, situated close to the old town. The rooms are on the small size but clean and functional. The staff were friendly and helpful, such as assisting our party to select restaurants for the evening. The breakfast was ok, all in all an adequate hotel for a long weekend in Carcassonne. Finally if you are catching the bus from the airport it will drop you right outside the hotel.
