"Great location overlooking the cathedral"

Enjoyable long weekend in Boulogne staying at the IBIS in the old town. Small rooms and bathroom but clean and very comfy bed! Staff were welcoming and breakfast was good (continental obviously!). This hotel is all about the location, by the old town walls and overlooking the Cathedral with many good restaurants and bars nearby.

This hotel is located just across the street from a beautiful Cathedral, and though the rooms are on the small side, the service is fantastic. Don't expect much from the amenities in the room, but if you are not spending much time in the room, no need to worry. Only stayed one night, but will definitely return.

With its location right facing the entrance to the old town and having a car park this is a super hotel . If it wasn't for the double glazed windows it could be noisy because of the location but the windows block it all out .

Ibis delivered what we expected: good value for money. And we were suprised by the great staff.The location is close to the old city center, easy to reach by car, but it a 15' walk to the harbor.The entrance to the car park is to narrow for a larger car, but there is ample free parking space on the street.

We have stayed at the Ibis Centre on numerous occasions and have always been delighted with the quality of service and excellent value for money. This visit was no exception. The hotel is well situated, rooms are clean and comfortable, secure parking can be booked in advance on request, and breakfast good.

Hotel a bit frayed round the edges but comfortable enough. Staff pleasant when encountered but service not an obvious priority, during our stay there was only one person manning both bar and reception. Excellent location just opposite old town and we did not find the August funfair too intrusive. Would book again if price right.

The hotel was situated opposite the Cathedral which is on the edge of the old town. However, during the first three weeks in August each year, fairground rides are set up right in front of the hotel which is extremely noisy, particularly if you happen to be in a room overlooking the Cathedral.

Very good location for access to the old city. Well maintained but small room. Staff were very helpful and cheerful. We would stay here again. Good value but breakfast buffet could be improved with more fresh fruit.

Great location just outside the old town walls,free parking ,clean,great breakfast,perfect for a short break. Ten minutes walk to the shops and harbour,but only a couple to the bars and restaurants in the old walled town. We would certainly use this again.

Stayed at this hotel many times for overnight stays . It is in a great position for the old part of boulogne and the staff are always very helpful. I always request a high floor room overlooking the cathedral and this is always granted. I have also stayed at the Ibis near to the port but much prefer the location of this hotel .

We frequently stay at this hotel, usually with our dogs, and are always happy with it. Only criticism is that I normally book online through accorhotels.com, and it would be nice to be able to say that we are travelling with dogs, and to specify a room on the front (or back) of the hotel.

Good location for a stopover - direct route into Bolougne from the autoroute and right by the old town with lots of restaurants. Free parking opposite, with space available at 5.30 pm. The only downside was that the room was a bit warm, and opening the window made it sometimes noisy. Good value overall, I thought.

Have stayed here several times on short trips across the channel, or on way to/back from holidays further south. The hotel is ideally placed near to the Cathedral/Old Quarter of the town, and only a short walk to the centre. The service is first class, rooms clean and quiet, and is excellent value for money. Secure parking, about £5 per night, available on request. Highly recommended.

Excellent access to the old town. A necessary requirement for older traveller who accompanied us on the visit. disabled parking spot directly opposite the hotel.Front door of hotel to main gate of old town approx 80 metres.
