"Rude staff"

I can accept that hotels need to undertake refurbishment, and that in times of very cold weather the heating may be inadequate, but there is no excuse for hotel staff to be rude to their paying guests.When my two gay friends and I checked in to this hotel (two rooms), my friends asked for a room with a double bed. The manageress commented that this was unusual, and her other staff behind the counter started laughing. When my friend asked was there a problem, they stopped.People travel for business or leisure, not to receive moral judgements. If the hotel wants to discriminate, they should put up a sign saying so, and face the consequences. Otherwise, the staff should keep their thoughts to themselves, serve their customers without any added comments, and understand that this is the year 2012, not 1892.

Sound proof is very very bad.Room is very small.Staff are unfriendly.They just ignore my booking record through accor hotel website.They could not provide satisfying solutions in 15 minutes as they promised!
"Good access to the city center"

We chose this hotel because it was very close to the train station, it was situated right outside of the old city center, the access to everything was good. The room was clean, although not very fancy. The staff was friendly. All in all we were happy with the stay.

I frequently stay at Ibis hotels because I can count on friendly, helpful staff and good value. This Ibis in Avignon is fine, but more run down than others where I've stayed. You can find better value in Avignon.

A basic budget chain hotel, room was clean and bed comfortable. Easily accessed on arrival to Avignon with parking available nearby. City centre a few minutes walk away. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel was very close to old town in Avignon, which made dining and exploring easy and convenient. Also close to Le Poste / Bus station to catch bus to Avignon Gare TGV.Room was comfortable, however the sink (bathroom) had a bad smell eminating from it.Overall value for money was good.
