Good for an enjoyable relaxing holiday. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too. Only just slightly out of town, although this would unlikely be an issue for holiday folks, as the attractions of Avignon are within walking distance. If arriving by TGV, there is a 5 min. train from the Avignon TGV station to Avignon cenral. Enjoy!
We found this to be a very nicely appointed hotel with a pleasant outdoor area for taking breakfast. It is very well situated near to the city walls and within easy reach of the railway station. The rooms are small but comfortable. Our room was near to the stairway & lift and was a little noisy but this was not a great inconvenience.
We stayed in the hotel for five days as it was well located (next to avignon wall but plenty of place to park), The rooms were a bit too small for 2 people as there was little space to move and the bathroom could have certainly been a bit bigger. Beds were too close and you could hear the people next door as well as the corridor. Breakfast was very good. Although reception was very good, the floor in the corridors leading to our rooms were a bit grubby and left a bad impression. This is an easy fix. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the ibis Avignon Centre Pont De L'europe. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Since July of 2012, all the hotels of France had a total reorganization because of the new hotel classification. There is better homogeneity of the hotels of the same category for the guests and we respect, of course, all the criteria of a 3 stars hotel to have been validated. Indeed, rooms are a little bit small we are aware of this point; however we had renovated them in a functional way, with quality bedding, a good sound damping: essential elements for the comfort of our guests. Sincerely, Anaïs - Front desk manager
Good location 10 minutes walk from the centre of town and couldn't be easier to access by car. Ample free parking outside and at a nearby car park although none of it secure. This is one of the better of the Ibis range and always seems well maintained. Only slight downside is that there is no onsite restaurant although there is a bar. Good value for money and pretty much everything that you would want for a short stay.
I should begin this review by saying that I normally LOVE Ibis hotels. They are generally clean, safe, and affordable, with great staff. However, this Ibis was dirty to the point of being disgusting. I stayed in two different rooms on this trip, and both had three different colors of mold growing in the shower…yuck! One had stained sheets, and another had a sticky spill on the floor. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The worst thing, though, was that I notified management of this issue a week ago, and have received no response. Don't waste your time or money.
Good hotel, with a very helpful and attentive staff. The room was standard for the chain, but well kept and clean. One of the members of the reception was very thoughtful about giving us advice on cities nearby we could visit.
Dear Sir, We thank you for your visit in our nice area. We are pleased that our services and helpfull staff reached your expectations. We hope to receive you or your familly again in the future, do not hesitate to contact us for any question or reservation needs. Agnès GROS Hotel Manager
Room very cramped, poor food options, plenty of staff but they were not always engaged in looking after customers, too busy talking to each other. When a staff member slipped and fell over at breakfast spilling an orange juice, it was several minutes before it was cleaned up and the area was left unmarked.
We booked this hotel during its 40% discount promotion so the room rate is just 58 Euro per night. The hotel is just outside the old city. Walking to the main road of the old city and Center station takes about 15 minutes which is acceptable though not that convenient compared with the other IBIS which is just outside the Center station (but that IBIS does not have promotion and the rate is 97 Euro per night ). Walking to Carrefour which is on the main street takes about 20-25 minutes. Although there is another big supermarket near the IBIS, it closes at 7pm. So we still mainly go to the Carrefour which closes at 10pm. The room space is just IBIS type. The staff are friendly. The bus station to the TGV station is just outside the IBIS across the street which is quite close.
