hotel is in a good location but rooms are a bit tried . car park at ten pounds a day is expensive compared to other hotels in Sheffield . pull up bed had a old blanket with black hairs which was replaced when asked with a duvet,

Novotel Sheffield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Fantastic Service"

I checked in late on Wednesday and had to work through till 2am for my meeting next afternoon, which resulted in me waking up just when the breakfast was shutting down. Sonia Moukouekov at Reception made sure that I got my breakfast, which was fantastic because I had missed out on dinner the previous evening. Great extra service which saw me through the day, thanks.

Novotel Sheffield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Central location, but access is tricky"

Good value city-centre hotel, with the standard facilities you would expect from a Novotel plus a small (very warm) pool and a larger gym. It does have a pay car park but not many spaces so you may get directed to the nearby Q-Park facility where you can get a discount if you ask the hotel for a voucher before you leave. Fairly close to the railway station too, but this involves quite a stiff uphill walk if you have any luggage.

Novotel Sheffield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A convenient hotel"

This is my 2nd time to use this hotel. The location of this hotel is excellent. Only ten minutes walk to the train station or the city center. I was lucky to book the hotel in very low price. Of course the expensive breakfast in GBP15.XX was not included. Small swimming pool and gym room included.

Generally disapointed with respect to the outdated furnishing of the room, and with the carpet containing many dark stains (similar in appearance to burns) it certainly did not achieve a four star rating - more akin to two star. Also quite skimpy on tea/coffee making sachets.

Novotel Sheffield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good night, but a little pricey"

Overall my experience here was good.My wife and I stayed in one of the Novotel Sheffields Suites as a part of our honeymoon.Upon arrival at 5pm we discovered that our room was not ready when we was quoted we could check in at 2pm. We was then give a drinks voucher as compensation and was told it would be about 15 minutes, 30 minutes later I went back to the check in desk to ask why it had taken twice as long as promised to be told it was ready, so we had been sitting around waiting unnessacaily. Both my wife and I got the distinct impression that we wouldnt have received this voucher if we hadnt booked the suite.The room discripton was a little off in my opinion. I might be being picky but I expected it to be slghtly bigger. The discription stated that there was a sofa in the room, which in fact turned out to be 2 low seated arm chairs, granted they was comfy, but I would have much prefered the sofa to lay out on.The rooms was very well decorated and comfortable. The only complaint I would have, again, I am probably being picky, but the toilet was just a bog standard toilet we have in our outhose at home in a woodchipped box room, this didnt look very modern compared to the rest of the facilities. The air conditioning is also a very welcome addon to the room, as when we opened the windows in the night due to feeling a bit humid, all we could here was a loud hum coming from outside.The staff here were also truely professional, they were polite and always happy to help.Room service is decently priced in comparision to other hotels I have been too and was very prompt also.When we was there there were also a great entertainment package for the on demand movies etc which was worth the money. Overall I had a nice stay here. But the excess machinical nose, dated toilet and the lack of as described sofa I have described above means Novotel will not be getting £160 per night of my money again for this room.
