Great location in the centre of Sheffield. Good public rooms with leisure facilities. Breakfast buffet was well stocked.

"absolute rubbish"

Really bad service, Really rubbish staff, I booked this hotel, has i was staying in Sheffield, and it looked really nice, I made my booking, but didnt recieve confirmation, so i rang the hotel to check my reservation, to be told, "There was a problem with my card". very rudely. So i made a reservation elsewhere, on the same day, there was no problem with my card. They have now taken the money from my card, when i telephoned to tell them what had happened. They told me "There was nothing they could do, and i wouldnt be getting a refund. So beware of this before you book. I stayed at Jurys that was lovely.

"In need of revamp!"

The room was very tired looking, very different from pictures on website. Old chip paper on the walls, cut in places to try to match up pattern.Hairs on bed linen and in bath!Toilet old and need of a good clean, dirty round the toilet seat and paint in the toilet which you would not expect from standard room let along paying extra for a exective room!Dust thick on air vent and splashes of dirt/stains round bathroom tiles that just need a proper clean!!Have stayed in various hotels in Sheffied and this does not compare to the other 4 stars we have stayed in!!!!!

"Snooker Visit"

I was very impressed with the location of the hotel in close vicinity of Crucible, city centre and above all railway station. Your pool area was very clean and child friendly.

"Fine hotel in the center of Sheffield"

We experienced a very good service and the staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is situated next to the Winter Garden, museums, shopping, tram and train station, so we had very easy acces to everything, when we finally left the nice breakfast.

"Handy!"

Right in the centre and plenty of parking - just what I needed! Food quality was excellent - although last admission to the pool was 2100 and I missed it by 3 minutes!

Service from staff polite and efficient. Hotel lived upto expectation. The mid-week special offer meant value exceeded expectation. Regretably forgot to take gym kit and shorts, to take avantage of all the excellent facilities.

could have just done with an extra blanket in the room for the pull out bed as we didnt arrive until midnight and were too tired to chase up reception. breakfast great as usual

"Convenient location"

The hotel is very convenient for city centre and theatres. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Rooms leave something to be desired - we had no heating, but staff responded with a portable heater. Beds also showing signs of age!Good breakfast. On the whole a bit expensive but worth it for location and car parking.

"Great, but should offer free wifi"

Lovely warm indoor swimming pool, 32+degVery nice hotel, but this standard really should include free wifi.(Why can youth hostels offer free wifi and Hiltons offer free wifi but not mid-range hotels?)

"Good City Centre Location and Value for Money"

I stayed overnight with my wife whilst visiting my son at Sheffield University. By paying in advance I got a decent B & B inclusive rate, but didn't really want to pay additional charge for car parking. Central heating system was working overtime in the restaurant ( probably a thermostat/timer fault). Otherwise the hotel met my expectations of Novotel in being clean, and providing a room with basic amenities. Novotels bathroom plumbing seems to be a problem in free running drains - lack of fall.

"Perfect hotel for a night out at the Sheffield Lyceum theatre"

We stay here 4/5 times a year and we are always happy to return.Small car park so get there early.Join the Novotel "A Club" to benefit from the points - this recent visit was on a quietFriday evening so we managed to get a bedroom upgrade for free but the basic roomsare very good.

"Good Location Terrible Hotel"

The hotel has excellent location but that is where it stops. The rooms are overly small and the beds and sofa creek. No one had any sleep due to beds creeking all the time. The hotel also charged parking extra even though included in price originally.Many cheaper and better hotels around the area.

"Disappointed"

I upgraded my room prior to our stay but unfortunately did not receive all of the promised benefits. The room was quite dated with woodchip wallpaper and the bathroom was not very clean. The swimming pool is actually more like a plunge pool. Very disappointed.

"Excellent"

The staff were marvelous, extremely helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and the facilities were great. The hotel is within walking distance for the town center and teh club that we were going to.
