Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel"

29th April 2012, susiepas, Sydney, Australia

We moved to the Sofitel after having a very bad night in a hotel that was a bit cheaper and closer to the centre of town. The comparison emphasized the Sofitel's quiet location, attentive helpful staff and the beautiful room. The concierge remembered my name from booking in and was proactively helpful. The bar on the roof was stunning with a great view over the city below. The cocktails were yummy although the food in the restaurant was disappointing (breakfasts and room service were both good). I would highly recommend the hotel.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good luxury hotel nearby Trinita Dei Monte"

26th February 2012, constaise, paris

This Sofitel is located nearby the Villa Medici gradens and the chuch Trinita Dei Monti (Place of Spain) in the center of Rome. The rooms are not very large but well furbished. The smell is nice (they do perfume their bathrooms) and amenitied are consistent with the Sofitel standard (I would recommend to place also a shaving kit for business travellers. The service has been very good as they came twice to my room on night to fix the wifi internet. If you book in advance, you can get a good rate for Rome where everything is expensive as far as hotels are concerned. The hotel is ten minutes walk from the metro Piazza di Espana (line A) and is surrounded by good restaurants. The very fabulous touch of the hotel is the terrace restaurant on the 7th floor where you have a view on Rome that does deserve the trip per se. Overall a good Sofitel well located where it is valuable to try to get a deal below 200 euros per night if you book on time in a not too crowded period.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Roman Holidays"

27th January 2012, Perth

The staff were excellent, the hotel was well located and the rooms we stayed in sumptuous. It was just a short walk to the Spanish Steps, Via Condotti and the Trevi Fountain. The roof top terrace is just delightful overlooking Rome.We would definitely stay again.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent services and value"

9th January 2012, Hong Kong, China

The hotel is within walking distance from the major historical sites, cafes and ice-cream shop. The Chief Concierge and other staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We received many excellent advices on the local cuisines from the Chief Concierge. When we called for a room service, the service arrived within minutes which exceeded our expectations. The room is spacious and cozy. Don’t forget, a spacious room is hard to find in Europe. We will stay at this Sofitel again in our next trip to Rome.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Had a wonderful stay"

A beautiful hotel with wonderful staff, good location and excellent service. Will definitely stay there again. It was the highlight of a long trip, the staff were excellent with the children and catered to their requests promptly.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Wonderful hotel to stay in Rome"

22nd July 2011, Bangkok

We traveled as a family of 4 in mid July. I booked 2 rooms about 1 month before our trip through their hotel web site. It was our first time in Rome, so I had no idea where would be good place to stay. But it turned out to be the wonderful choice I made to stay at this hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful, beautiful historical building, their restaurants are lovely. It is 1 minute walk to Rome's hop on hop off first bus stop. Also being a house wife I even asked front desk for out side laundromat, supermarket and mail service, metro station and they are all 5 minutes walk from the hotel. And this hotel is close to Spanish steps and Villa Borghese.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent service, great location"

11th May 2011, Sydney

This is a favourite of mine, I've returned a few times now when I visit Rome. The hotel service is always exceptional. The rooms are of a classic roman style. I was lucky to be upgraded due to my A-Club membership. The only downside was it's popular with visiting politicians and stars, meaning security can be a little overboard at times.I'll be coming back.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Would not stay here again."

11th May 2011, whatzupdox, daphne

Room not as advertised. We payed for upgraded room that on website showed the room with french doors and balcony, unfortunately our room had a window with little view. Front desk personel spoke poor english. Breakfast was horrible even though you are required to buy it. Location is great if you like to climb steep hill after long days of sightseeing.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 5.0 out of 5 stars "top hotel at all points"

22nd March 2011, istanbul

I was very happy from the enterance, at the reception, in the room and at the new bar on the roof. If I plan to go to Rome again for sure this will be the place I stay. I will also recomend to everyone that asks about Rome.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Birthdays in Rome"

11th February 2011, Milano

As my wife and I are having our birthdays only seperated by the change of the date, we spend the weekend in Rome.Great hotel, but we already knew as Acor members and Sofitel regulars. One minor point: they could have let known that the champagne displayed at the breakfast is not included but charged as an extra. As much as the whole breakfast... :)

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Quiet location near the noisy Spanish Steps"

7th February 2011, London

Quiet location yet very close to the main attractions. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Great terrace bar with 360 degree views of the City.
