"Renovations severely impacting"

This is a well located comfortable hotel with excellent, helpful and accommodating staff. But the quality of our stay was severely impacted by the renovations. We were given notice that work would be underway, but I did not expect that the room would be rendered uninhabitable by noise for large parts of the day. Our lovely Juliet blacony was also rendered useless, first by scaffolding outside the window, and then early in the stay, the window was covered by plastic sheeting. I could not recommend this hotel while this work is going on.

The location is outstanding. Travelers should know that the hotel is under major renovation, with entire floors gutted. There is industrial scaffolding around the side of the building. BUT the staff make up for any inconvenience. Our room (we upgraded) was large enough with an obviously brand new bathroom. Opening to the interior of the building, there was no noisein our room at all until the builders started work at 0800 on Monday. Lots of places to eat cheaply in the neighborhood, and public transit is five minutes away. We'd stay here again, particularly when the work's done. It would be hard to improve on staff friendliness and attentiveness.

Would stay again. Room was not ready when we arrived so they gave us a glass of champagne during our short wait. Left safe unlocked and had turndown service while we were at Dinner. Money and cards all still in unlocked safe when we returned. Honest, great staff and very good hotel.

The hotel was in a great location and the rooms a lot bigger than I expected for Paris - especially the bathroom. The bed was like lying on a cloud and very hard to get out of in the morning! The staff were helpful and it was an altogether terrific experience.

Great location and very professional staff but rooms are definitely too small, even by Paris standard. adding to this information the fact that on the last floor roof is inclined (mansardé in French) thus reducing your head room. Last but not least, they're overdue for a refurbishment project...

We were sent to a smelly room which the air conditioning system was not working properly. I called the front desk and I they sent us to a really nice room right away. The parisian rudeness wasn't welcome at the hotel. The staff is more like a dream team. The hotel is really close to the Arc and the Champs-Élysées Avenue. Talk to Luiz or anyone else from the front desk to have reservations booked on the best restaurants. Highly recommended.
"Complain for an unfair treatment"

I made the reservation for 3 nights and paid total room fee, when reserved. When I arrived there on April 22, they told me that they are full and there is no room for me and need to transfer me to another Sofitel hotel in Paris. I was very upset but no choice. They didi not give me any explaination why they gave my room to other guests since I did pay the room fee already. Anyhow,this is not the way a 5 starts hotel shall be!

I like Sofitel hotels, and like to enjoy every thing they have, no matter how high the price can be, but I was shocked when i arrived sofitel arc de triomphe-Paris. I booked a junior suite, and was told " for technical reason, the suite is not available !! ", and in 5 minutes the suite is available again. However, the suite is almost same size as executive or luxury rooms in other Sofitels. It is understandable that this Paris, but still standards have to be met as much as possible. Staff are kind of arrogant with fake smile, and just want to get ride of whoever.in general, Paris is one of my favorite destinations for holidays or business, but will never go back to this Sofitel.... Doesn't worth

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel and staff were simply awesome. We were upgraded to a junior suite at no charge. The location is a short 3 minute walk from L'Arc de Triomphe and conveniently located just off the Champs Elysees. There is a Red Bus (Les Cars Rouges) stop very close by...which is extremely convenient. Not inexpensive - but worth every Euro!
