Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Small and Smokey"

27th February 2013, SamBW

The location, facilities, rooms and service are all above average, yet the hotel is just too expensive for the size of room. Very disappointing really in every way, minimal floor space, small kitchen, no hot drink making facilities in the room and circa 20 Euros for two coffees and two plain croissants is just disappointing at best. Added to this, the room smelt of smoke and there was a problem during our stay with the English channels on the TV. The location is excellent which is why I booked again following a stay 3 years ago. My fault and a mistake I won't make again. Back to the much roomier Novotel or Pullman offerings.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Many Thanks to the Sofitel Le Faubourg!"

25th January 2013, sskreller, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

I very recently stayed at the Sofitel Le Faubourg for four nights. And, the hotel location, accommodations, and staff were impeccable. The Sofitel Le Faubourg is located in the shopping district with easy access to the Louvre, Champs Elysees, the Opera House, the Metro line, and many, many more attractions. If you are looking for a very nice hotel with great accommodations and a very friendly staff, then I highly recommend the Sofitel Le Faubourg.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Anniversary weekend in Paris, improvements needed"

18th January 2013, TheSwedishTraveller, Worldwide

Our stay was very nice, but there are things slightly wrong in your hotel and definitely not 5 star. GOOD- All Staff attitude and friendliness was perfect!!! Very impressed.- Concierge Christoph was great. Thanks again for the nice restaurant tip Drouant.- Suite 138, nice decor, good bed.NOT GOOD (Details, details, details…)- Toilet room has no towel rack, no mirror - how is one supposed to wash and dry ones hands?- We were given a bottle of red wine for our anniversary (Thank you), but no glasses, no cork screw bottle opener were put with it- Could not use Bose speaker - it is not made for iPhone 5- We like our room warm when it is cold outside, the system only produced cold air. The engineer had to come and fix it.- Breakfast on saturday was not good (we came late at 10:30). A bit chaotic service wise, we were not even asked our room number... Breakfast has to be good until the last minute and your breakfast is definitely not 5 star- Coffee cups and coffee capsules, were taken saturday morning from the room, but not returned. Had to call to get them back.- You need to renovate - there are many scratches on doors and walls one the guest room floors- The inside security door closer on the room door 138 is missing, broken off- One of the juices (AppleGinger) in the in room bar bar had been opened, drunk out of and put back into the fridge by a previous guest- Free internet via VPN is too slow

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Location Location"

3rd October 2012, Foundout, Atlanta, Ga

Location - 1/2 block from Place de la Concorde is about the only thing going for this Hotel. Price is very high but this is Paris. One Concierge, Jerome, very helpful.Room was well worn and could definetely use an up grade. We were on a Tauck Tour part of our stay and suggested to them to look elsewhere.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Curate's egg..."

18th April 2012

This hotel is an old friend who was slightly out of sorts. Breakfast was a slightly chaotic experience but to the hotel's credit they refunded the cost. Staff are curteous, knowledgable and friendly and go to great lengths to make you feel welcome.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Sofitel has up-ed their game"

13th March 2012, Florence, Italy

I've stayed here many times and it seems like recently they have really raised the bar. The service is amazing, they can't do enough for you. Everyone who works there has a great attitude and they can't do enough for you. The rooms are comfortable and the location is great...you can walk to the Champs Elysee or down St. Honore. I deducted a star for value only because it was Fashion Week and the rates were on the high side but normally it's one of the best values in Paris for a 5 star hotel.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Sofitel Le Faubourg"

1st February 2012, Milan, Italy

maybe I was unlucky, but it let me down as I was expecting much more from a Sofitel. I go all the time to Poland and the Sofitel there is the best. The Sofitel Le Faubourg however really let me down. It is not my style: it is very traditional, but the quality and decoration and quite qualitative. All was very OK... But the BASIC function of having a relaxed and nice night of sleep was NOT ACHIEVED. The temperature was too high, making it impossible to sleep. When I finally managed to turn off the heating, it still would be too warm. I requested a light blanket for the following night and it was never delivered to my room. VERY DISAPPOINTING especially considering I spent almost €800 for two nights!!!!! Never coming back to this Sofitel.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 4.0 out of 5 stars "It's all about location!"

26th January 2012, London, United Kingdom

The best aspects of this hotel are the service and the location.I have stayed here many times on long weekends and I cannot fault the staff ; however for the price some of the rooms I have stayed in are a little small, and some of the furniture is a little tired. But given the high cost of decent hotel rooms in Paris, this hotel is definitely an option worth considering.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A top class hotel!"

4th October 2011, Ipswich, United Kingdom

Sofitel Le Fauborg is a very nice hotel close to the Champs Elysees and an easy metro ride to Notre Dame/Latin quarter. Service and rooms are excellent although it is pricey. Breakfast is excellent. Free Wi-fi.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Comfortable and convenient"

1st September 2011, Huntingdon

This hotel lives up to the Sofitel standard for polite efficient and attentive service. The location is ideal for the main attractions and is in a quiet street controlled by police at either end as it backs on to the American Embassy. Our room was quite small for the price even in Paris but it was quite comfortable. I would certainly stay here again.
