This 4-star hotel provides 2-star services. The reception was not that helpful when we checked in and asked for housekeeping services. When we checked in around 2pm, reception said the room was not ready and we needed to wait. It was in contrast with the check in time after 12pm. I don't think it was four star services to let your clients wait unnecessarily. Later when we found in the evening that the room did not provide slippers. The hotel said housekeeping was close. I found it absurd.

We booked this hotel since we thought we would get the standard Mercure quality. Boy were we wrong. In the bathroom, the seat was broken. There was water leakage damage on the wall above the shower and I mean there was HUGE bubble and seemed like it would fall off any minute. Humidity from the bathroom had damaged the inside of the wardrobe.Breakfast was another adventure in and of itself. Most of the time food that had run out was not replenished. The coffee machine would overflow and it would take them 15-20 minutes to just empty it. Out of cold milk half the time, out of honey one of the days (honey was not important really, but just adds up), coffee mugs were dirty on 2 occasions... and there is one thing that really bothers me... They advertise organic breakfast items, but none were available over the 4-5 days!!On our return (drove around for a couple of days), the new room had water leak INTO the wall mounted light which short circuited every time we turned the light on. This happened just on arrival so we hadn't even unpacked. When I asked them to change the room, they said "We hope you don't mind if the repairman comes in the room while you are there. We would have to re-do the room if we change it for you." Needless to say I had a hard time swallowing that and they ended up "having" to change the room. Hard to imagine for me that they ask you to wait in the room while the plumber and the electrician and possibly the mason and the painter fix the problem!What a letdown from a 4-star hotel.

Stopped at this Hotel for 3 nights - rooms clean and good size beds - hot water good showers.Lifts in the morning and evening are a night mare - you can wait in excess of 10 mins - I attempted to use the stair case but this was very poorly lit. .Would not stay here again typical continetal breakfast but very poor quality - 17 euro a shot!!!!

Great spot if you use the train to get around. Otherwise a reasonable walk to main tourist areas.Car park is small and therefore difficult to negotaite but on site and secure.Food was v good but a very limited menu so I ate out after the first night. Nice wines by the glass.Overall very good value ofr money and helpful staff.

This hotel is located just next to a big shopping mall, and easy walking distance from all the sights of downtown Bordeaux, such as the cathedral and Place de la Bourse. We had a comfortable stay, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Large hotel, with everything one needs for business or city trip. Very helpfull staff.Rooms large and recently renovated...During our stay, the hotel bar was closed, but that was no problem so close to the city center...Car park was availible in the immediate vincinity.

After some difficulties to get a "City Bag Mercure" and a map of the city. We discover that there is a tram station very close to the entrance of the hotel and that a daily ticket is available for 4.1 euro per person.In spite of that we would recommend the hotel for further visitors.
