Hotel is in mid-renovation & should not be open. The hotel is confusing to navigate, all signage is missing, the reception is in the hotel next door with a tiny A4 sign with small writing to tell you this. When you arrive on your floor there is no signage to say which way is which room. The phones in the room do not connect to reception, I had to dial the full number in the phone from google to ring reception - for which they tried to charge me on checkout!! I range for an iron, to be told there is only 1 iron for the entire hotel & they weren't sure which room it was in. The breakfast room is next to a building site with sheeting, the breakfast is poor, everything always empty & coffee cold. This hotel should not be open to guests - absolutely shocking.

Due to the hotel construction the sauna and hamam wasn't working which was a bit of a pity. Also the ventilation in the room was lacking a bit so we had to open the windows to air out the room rather often.

Your booking site is unreliable at present as Mercure Champs de Mars has a total refurbishing going on. You sold me a room online which was not available at the hotel as it was renovated. My stay was saved by a very good team at Reception: Stéphanie and Jéssica. They saved the day. Excellent Executive professionals at Front Desk.

Very helpful check in staff; comfortable room; well located. Breakfast in the adjoining Ibis Hotel was better value than in the Mercure.
