Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 5.0 out of 5 stars "mercure Paris"

excellent location . Friendly front desk . Rooms very comfortable. Total value and highly recommended.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Weekend in Paris with partner"

18th February 2012, Brussels, Belgium

Rooms are very small and fairly expensive but competitors were fully booked.Door of bathroom did not close. Breakfast was below standard and extremely expensive for price.Very slow check-out (one clerck, ten people waiting)Location is OK, parking nearby, subway nearby, department stores on foot.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "To be recommended"

17th February 2012, Basel, Switzerland

Perfect location for a resonable price!Rooms are rather small but OK - you do not need more...Bathroom are modern and there is enough space...Breakfast area is rather small but nice selection of goof French food....

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Decent & clean hotel in central Paris district"

1st February 2012, Toulouse, France

I enjoyed the opportunity of a bargain offer (125 euros/night). Room clean & modern, rather small with spartian furniture. Free wi-fi which I didn't test. Bathroom -shower only- impeccably clean. Only clear negative: breakfast room is small and feels crowded and uncomfortable (food is OK, nothing more). In short: perfect hotel for a week-end, wouldn't recommend it for a longer vacation or a romantic break.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 3.0 out of 5 stars "stay at hotel"

13th January 2012, The Hague, The Netherlands

I had had a bad experience with the front desk man the previous time I stayed. I was supposed to have received tickets for the Giacometti Exhibition, but he did not have them, and this man was not very pleasant in handling this affair. I addition the previous trip there was also not a very good breakfast. For this trip, we were received by the Manager, but I had to ask several times to the front desk person to let her know that we had arrived. He did not want to get her initially. In general the front of desk personnel are not very welcoming and give an uncomfortable feeling. In our case, I thought I had booked a twin bed room over the internet, and in the final booking it was not clear what had been booked. The front of house man refused to go into this, even when he could see that the 3 other times before I had always booked a twin bed room, we were early enough and I did not get the impression that the hotel was so fully booked. He put us into one of the smallest rooms with a twin bed and a shower, and I really had to ask if he could not put us in something larger - it was a trip to celebrate by daughters 16th birthday. Eventually he said that he would give us a larger room - but still with a double bed. The breakfast staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean, although in the "newer" part of the hotel, the rooms are desperately small. The convenience of the location is why I continue to come to the hotel - the thought of meeting the front desk staff is a reason why I always think twice about using the hotel.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 3.0 out of 5 stars "good location, don't expect anything more"

13th January 2012, Zurich, Switzerland

this is listed as a 4 star hotel - in reality it deserves 3. the rooms are clean but basic & the front desk is essentially disinterested. the key selling point is the excellent location, nothing more.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 3.0 out of 5 stars "great location"

15th August 2011, toronto

hotel is in a great location.staff is very friendly but not always accurate with details.they claim to speak english but struggle with the language andtherefore aren't very efficient in helping customers, however theydo try. air conditioning was very loud throughout our week stay, was fixed on the last day because everyone is on holidays andcan't get service easily.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A Great Deal"

8th August 2011, Al Ain

At the bargain price of €105 for a double room the hotel represented fantastic value. Typical Mercure design - maximising the available space in a stylish manner. There were some kids constantly tearing around and bouncing up and down in the room upstairs - a problem that the concierge didn't want to dirty his hands with - but they'd gone to bed by the time we got back in.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Summer Holidays"

7th August 2011, Mexico

Rooms are fine and larger than what could is expected in Europe with even bathrooms are large.Front desk service can improve as well as breakfast where area and staffl is clearly insufficient to attend the hotel capacity and food quality and selections by far not the bestLocation is good to access all Paris attractions

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 2.0 out of 5 stars "I dont recommend this hotel at all !!"

4th August 2011, Dubai

- Rooms are very small, tiny, and depressing. - In pictures it looks more spacious while in reality its not.- AC is not working.- Balcony is shared with other rooms, this raise alot of security concerns- Internet is free but very slow and many times you dont get any service.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 3.0 out of 5 stars "good value"

13th July 2011, SEOUL

Should consider replacing the stairs at the gate and at the elevator by the slope !!!It will help considerably especially when you have to move with baggage !Otherwise, it is well located and the rooms are quiet though not really spacious. Overall a good value.

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 2.0 out of 5 stars "disappointing"

20th June 2011, Murray Bridge

Centrally located but in a small backstreet. The biggest disappointment was that we had an annoying water trickling noise through the room air conditioner making it very hard to sleep. stayed for 3 nights, asked to shift rooms twice without success. Was told it was fixed, then the next night told the noise did not occur when it was operating....both lies. More expensive than previous stay in Paris & little sleep. It may have only been our room but the fact that they would not shift us gives them the thumbs down

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel with charm."

15th June 2011, Bowral

Hotel in good location, secure and clean, sheet only on bed would be good so doona could be removed. air conditioner goodNot having a restaurant is a downside, breakfast service could be improved by more attentive service. More English newspapers would be welcomedoverall a good Hotel

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A [Pleasant Experience"

30th May 2011, Sydney, Australia

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Gare St Lazare, but it is very centrally located. The room was large for a Paris hotel with a large well-equipped bathroom. The breakfast package was also a bonus as the breakfast provided had a wide selection of food available. The staff we encountered, especially at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. We love Paris as a city and it is because of the .pleasant experiences such as we had at this hotel
