Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Retaurant on the Up"

18th April 2012, London

I have stayed in this hotel before. This time the ladies who run the breakfast service in the restaurant were excellent.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 1.0 out of 5 stars "A disgusting room with a view"

3rd April 2012, NewTravelerLondon, London

The panoramic room we were given had seen better days. The carpet, skirting boards, ceiling, walls and bathroom all seemed dirty even if someone had tried to clean them, as they were so dated and marked. For the price it was the worst value of our entire trip up from Sicily to London. A flashback to the worst of the seventies and eighties in terms of design. We should have known better as we have stayed there before and were told then that it was going to be refurbished. This time we wrote an email to the manager but have not heard a word back. Reception told us that the hotel was about to close and be refitted. Let's hope it happens this time. Accor hotels should be ashamed of the current quality of this accomodation.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Hotel"

30th March 2012, Brussels, Belgium

The staff is welcoming and efficient. The hotel is well appointed. Small negative point is that room service is not available all the time. The hotel is a little bit out of the centre of town. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is very good.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent stopover"

1st February 2012

stayed in Reims on way from Geneva to Channel Tunnel and took advantage of specal rate at Mercure. This was the second time we have stayed here and stay was really excelent - close to peage, good secure parking, location close to centre of city and very comfortable room. Everything we needed for relaxing stop-over and breakfast was superb

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 4.0 out of 5 stars "like it"

7th January 2012

Good hotel in excellent position for a stay in Reims. Reception friendly and efficient. Rooms small but clean and comfortable. Restaurant only fair, we eat out when the weather is clement. Underground carpark (for a fee) available. Regular visitors.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Reims overnight stay"

3rd September 2011, Widnes

Hotel was located close to the motorway & to the town centre & therefore was ideal for an overnight stop. Hotel was clean & the rooms comfortable. Breakfast appeared to be over priced. Rooms were quiet & the bed comfortable.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Fun to be at"

3rd September 2011, Antwerp, Belgium

very good hotel, we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very very friendly and helpful, the room was great and we had a delicious dinner. The hotel is a little out of the center but easy to get to by car. The parking lot (private and secured) was perfect. We can only recommend this hotel for your stay in Reims.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 3.0 out of 5 stars "taste of champagne"

3rd August 2011, Kinross

We have stayed at this hotel for many years in both summer and winter. It is ideally located for sights in the town and access from the motorway. We are disappointed that the rooms have never had a change of furniture and the bathrooms and public toilets are now well past their sell by date. The saving grace for this hotel is it's resturaunt. Excellent srevice and food with many staff"been there for years" and really work hard to give you a great dining experience. Best breakfast buffet in France. Disappointed with front desk service and welcome but personell here seems to change a lotChampagne offers at the desk - good valueTry and get a room on 4th or 5th floor for the view

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 4.0 out of 5 stars "enjoyable stay"

24th July 2011, Belfort

The hotel was good in all respects and the barman on 16th july is a credit and asset to your team. One negative, however, is that I have had to email the hotel to request my credit for 60+ free breakfasts which your staff did not bring to my attention

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Just to stay ,nothing more"

1st July 2011, TOKYO Japan

The city of Reims is a classic and modern city that offers many attractions to visit and ours is a “Champaign Tour of our own. " In this sense, it is semi- perfectly located, while surprisingly we enjoyed a nightly spectacle in the Cathedral near to the hotel, which is a must to see in Rems. The hotel itself is a bit doggy but up to the standards of this class, and the free Internet is worth mentioning.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Relaxing end to France trip!"

29th June 2011, Kennewick, Washington

We spent the last two days of a business/pleasure trip to Paris in Reims. We loved Reims and will definitely return given the opportunity. The hotel was perfect and the staff could not have been more helpful. We especially appreciated the guidance the bartender gave us as we enjoyed Champagne- probably more than we should have- in the very elegant hotel bar! The location of the hotel was great- close to cathedral, bus/train, restaurants, and shopping. The room was very well appointed- we had the "privilege" accommodation-, bed comfortable, plenty of closet space, quiet, and quite luxurious at half the price of our hotel in Paris! Would definitely recommend this hotel as well as well as the restaurant, Le Table Anna, which is an easy, pleasant walk from the hotel!

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A little bit let down. Not a lot."

11th June 2011, London

Have used this hotel on several occassions when travelling through Europe. It is a convenient first stop in France. Stayed this time earlier in May and booked to stop on return journey. Very good value but on second arrival were given rear view room, which in fairness was immediately changed after talking to reception. That room was a no-smoking room but unfortunately there were strong traces of recent cigarettes. Not the hotel's fault but spoilt the memory of the final hotel on our holiday. Would stay again as has many plusses, v good parking and easy A4 access. Does have coach parties staying but they are usually placed in corner of breakfast area.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Outstanding food and restaurant service."

8th June 2011, PidynTeithio, Australia

Last minute planned, this stay turned out to be a pleasant surprise with the quality of the food and service. The room was a little worn out and in need of attention, however, this was more than made up for with the evening meal. Just stunning.
