Mercure Dijon Centre Clémenceau: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Mixed feelings"

25th February 2012, Brasilia, Brazil

Rooms clean and comfortable, at decent price. Not so well located for those interested in touring the city centre.Hotel under renovation, major noises during the day.Very rude waiters that sent us off the restaurant just after breakfast was over. This behaviour should not be acceptable in a hotel chain such as Accor.

Mercure Dijon Centre Clémenceau: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Hotel, but let down by poor staff management"

7th October 2011, gubgub40, London, United Kingdom

Check in and appearance of room was excellent and room rate was same as 2 years ago. No heating available in room. Flash bathroom fittings combined with very hot water meant one could get scalded very easily in shower.Terrible BARMAN - went down for a drink at 7.15 Sat evening, the barman saw us sit down, but chose to ignore us, and went out to clean tables instead. Finally shouted at him for service - VERY unfriendly and should be transferred to pot cleaning.DINNER - service started well and the pastries were excellent. Well done chef. Good cheeseboard also. However service deteriorated over the meal, and there was a complete absence of organisation.ROOM COFFEE MACHINE - Instructions are too small to make sense and helpline number is on piece of paper issued at time of check-in, which is only logical to women (god bless them!), since men would expect helpline on instructions. Never fathomed it out, but it produced hot water and whilst it was pouring the cup fell off into my luggage. Shelf was too small, machine too big and dangerous.Pointed out dangers and lack of logic to receptionist at check-out, who was pleasant but argumentative.Upgrade of rooms since last visit very appealing, and would recommend this hotel, subject to Barman being replaced, cohesion in dining room, and hot water temp being reduced (COST SAVINGS TO HOTEL!!), and sensible coffee machine.Food quality excellent and very comfortable beds

Mercure Dijon Centre Clémenceau: 4.0 out of 5 stars "NIce Hotel slightly outside center of town"

15th June 2011

This is a nice modern hotel. Lobby was always clean and the desk was always staffed with pleasant and helpful people. The room was also clean and comfortable. The bed was large with a good matress. The bathroom was clean and all items in good working order. Only slight (and I do mean slight) negative was that the hotel was a 15 minute walk from the old part of Dijon. As one who likes to walk this I did not find this a big problem

Mercure Dijon Centre Clémenceau: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very nice hotel in the center of Dijon"

4th May 2011, Iraklis1, Oxfordshire

This is a nice hotel with nicely decorated rooms and very friendly staff in the center of Dijon. It is clean with good space in the rooms and a very comfortable bed. I used the hotel as a stop-over on driving from the UK to the south of France and it provided a much needed and enjoyable break.

Mercure Dijon Centre Clémenceau: 5.0 out of 5 stars "One of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in"

25th December 2010, Melbourne, Australia

This hotel room was of an exceptional standard. We chose the next level up from the standard room, but it was still excellent value. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the pillows likewise. All facilities you could possibly want were available. We particularly loved the bathroom - the shower was a large walk-in, and the toilet was in a separate room.As it was cold and snowing outside, we decided to have dinner in the restaurant hotel. The standard of the meal was outstanding, however the service was extremely poor. It was not busy and there were plenty of staff, but we could not get another drink. At one point, the manager even moved my empty glass on the table as he walked past - it would have been nice to have it removed or, even better, refilled!!
