Reception staff not very helpful or friendly. Large room. Near shoping area 15 mins to Catherdal. Some construction noise. Good value for money

The hotel room is right next to the U-bahn train station.. walk within 1 min. very convenient.Get a suit room.. the room is one of the biggest you can get in europe with reasonable price. The room is very quiet and with church bell sound which is very european.Love this place..
"Expensive and noisy"

The Mercure Hotel is surrounded by a huge construction site with a lot of noise in addition to the nearby roads. The parking below the hotel is not included in the price. The provided room was a smoking room and I insisted in a non smoking room even I had the ACCOR Favourite Guest Card, the staff was unable to upgrade even I asked for it. I think theay are not properly trained to treat a prefered guest properly.

4th time I stayed in this hotel.Rooms renovated, and some still being renovated (noise as from 08h00 am)Diner : very nice food, my wish I expressed when ordering the meal, was not kept into account : I asked if it was possible to have some time between starter and main dish.The waiter said : no problem, but after all, there was 5 minutes between finishing the starter and bringing the main course.So I was not pleased with it, as it was asked very clear when ordering.The waiter took the main course back, and kept it warm for a while, which ended in a plate, on which the sauce was totally gone into the potatoes.The waiter gave us the coffee for free to make it up, so I appreciate his willingness to admit it did not go perfect;

Although good central location ; unfortunately this hotel is let down by the fact that the city has major construction works going on around it. ( will improve when this is over....but when will that be??) - hence 'average' ratingWas disappointed to find no European English news/business channel available ( only CNN). Food good, bar , restaurant staff friendly - reception too but reluctant to call for taxis ( kept suggesting walking to taxi rank over nearby bridge despite weather..rain!!)Caution - the car park under the hotel is open to the public and not included in reservation ( or any % for hotel guests ).

15 minutes away from the big Dom, very nice and cosy. Its by the train station, a bit noisy if the window is open, otherwise very silent. Very nice because the train is very near so you dont have to walk much with luggage. It is located in not a very nice neighborhood, but we had no problems at all. Ther are nice restaurants just 10 minutes away..

Currently 4 th floor is under construction. Working hours during the stay approximatly from 8.00 a.m. - 07.00 p.m. Sometimes noisy and disturbing. But no official previous information made by the hotel.

We have a nice stay in Cologne. The hotel is located near a tram station and has easy and fast access to the center of town. The room was clean but quite small. The queen size bad was in fact made by two beds. The sleep was OK. Overall the price / quality report meet the expectations.

Polite and courteous staff, good sized room, looks recently redecorated. Good sized restaurant, the breakfast experience, although it is self-service, is superb. Excellent location, only 20 minutes walk to city centre. Most of all, it is less than half the cost of an equivalent quality hotel in London - how do they do that?

could not fault this hotel. we got a bargain for what we paid. rooms were spot on and where the hotel got a bonus point was that breakfast on new years day was from 8.00-14.00hrs! brilliant break. highly recomend this hotel. Danke.
"Great for the Christmas Markets"

This is 4th time we have stayed here in December. We like the hotel hence the repeat visits. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis paid in advance and obtained a very favourable room rate. The room had recently been renovated and was delightful.The breakfast is really good with plenty of choice.The hotel is a ten minute walk to the centre and is directly adjacent to a U-Bahn station. All the main Christmas Markets are wthin easy walking distance or within a short train ride.

Had a very nice stay, City was lovely, lot's to do and see, hotel was comfortable although there was building work right outside our hotel room and we weren't informed of this before our arrival, it was the downside to our stay!!!!
