Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Dijon"

Great hotel right in the centre of the city with a wonderful restaurant, gourmet french food. Complimentary parking. Occitaine amenities make for a nice luxurious touch.

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 5.0 out of 5 stars "First class"

We stayed 2 nights in Dijon at the Sofitel. Everything was perfect. We arrived late at night. Staff were very welcoming although it was 10pm. Room was beautiful. Location great. Would recommend the Sofitel to family and friends. Hope to return again in the near future.

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Short Break in Dijon"

We enjoyed a three day break in Dijon staying at Sofitel Dijon La Cloche. It's a beautiful old building, very well kept. Service was great and staff very helpful during our stay. We also especially enjoyed the food at the hotel's restaurant. Although there were road works just outside the hotel we could not hear it in our room. There is a little book on the history of the hotel, but unfortunately only in French, I would have loved to read about it in English to fully appreciate what was written, which seems very interesting.

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Second rating, the first was about another hotel"

1st September 2011, Paris

The Location is under construction. Unfortunately, because the hotel is situated ideally in front of the Historic Center of the city. No GPS yet discovered will take you directly there. You need orientation skills, good knowledge of French, understanding of the surroundings and a lot of patience. ALL the city is under construction. All medieval places of interest are nearby. The cuisine is amazing, the wines too. the garden is really nice. The parking is interrior and safely guarded. At least once the police was called upon (and immediately responded) because of a drive-by robbery attack 10 yards from the entrance, during our 2 day staying there. The concierge - receptionist was very helpfull. Make sure that you make dinner reservations (in the hotel or elsewhere early. Kitchens stop cooking at 21:30 the latest. The double balcony doors of the rooms provide total silence even if the hotel is situated in (what will eventually be) the center of interest, right behind La Port De Guillaume! No need to talk about beds and sleep. These are ACCOR standards all the way.

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A relaxing getaway from Paris for a short stay."

This beautiful hotel with a wonderful garden to overlook when eating breakfast, lunch and dinner is extremely relaxing. Staff are very helpful and can assist to your needs. A quick stroll down the main street is an easy walk. We had a wonderful 3 relaxing days and would recommend a stay to anyone.

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 5.0 out of 5 stars "perfect position"

We stayed here about 5 years ago in one of the duplex suites as a special occasion (our anniversary) and we were very impressed, so when we decided to include Dijon on our recent trip we naturally went back.Although we had only reserved a standard room this time, due to the number of package groups staying there we were upgraded to a suite on the 5th floor, and it was superb. It appears they have been recently refurbished and it came complete with two TV's (I think there was a third in the bathroom but we couldn't figure out how it worked), a sound system, coffee maker, Hammam shower and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.The hotel is situated on the edge of the pedestrian area in the centre of Dijon which makes it superb for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants, all within walking distance. It also has its own parking garage on site, which is free of charge for guests, and extremely convenient. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the quality of food, but overall we were delighted with the experience and can recommend the hotel very highly. The one downside was that the city is installing a new tram system right outside the hotel, so the traffic is even more chaotic at the moment, and there could be some noise during the day, but this isn't the hotel's fault, and it didn't spoil our stay in any way

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Really "cuts the mustard"!"

It would be hard to find a hotel in Dijon with a great location right in the center, PLUS free valet parking. Sofitel has both. While the hotel was a bit hard to find with our GPS, we drove up to the Front Door and a very nice fellow helped us with our bags, then took our car to a secure garage adjacent to the hotel and the parking was free for our entire stay. (We tipped well!) We got a reasonable rate through the Accor website and it included breakfast which was very nice. Our room (#402) was a bit small and not as posh as the what you might expect for Sofitel, although we were very happy with it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.Lots of great lighting for reading. Our only complaints about the room and of course these are very minor: the cord for the hair dryer was extremely short and we had to bend toward the floor to use it. The A/C didn't work so we opened the window for some cool air. Unfortunately the noise at night facing the street was quite bad. Sirens, car alarms and loud drunks in the park across the way. Next time we'll get a room that faces the lovely garden. Kudos to the Front Desk for a wonderful restaurant recommendation and directions to the motorway. Every single staff member was kind and helpful to us. Special thanks to the very nice valet/bellman who took care of our car.If you are in the mood for genuine moutarde de Dijon, just walk three minutes from the hotel to the Maille shop for an incredible selection of mustards. Can mustard be heavenly? In Dijon, it is!

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Comfortable and chique hotel"

Good central location, very friendly staff, free valet parking

Very good, quiet hotel, excellent service. The location is first class if a little difficult to get to at the moment as Dijon is one big tram/roadworks.

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 4.0 out of 5 stars "so nearly perfect !"

9th January 2011, DidierUK, London, United Kingdom

Dijon is a great city to visit and we chose the Sofitel for its' excellent location. Everything so very good except there must have been a fault with one of the lifts as the noise in the bedroom from one of the lifts seemingly rubbing against something when they were in use was very annoying - thankfully it was a quiet time when there were few guests in the Hotel because we would have had to have changed rooms. This was reported so hopefully it's been sorted !Other than that, would thoroughly recommend this Hotel, it would have been perfect apart from 'that' lift !

Sofitel Dijon La Cloche: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Highly recomended"

This is a well located upscale hotel. It has a decent restaurant but is expensive. There are several good restaurants nearby in walking distance. The town and station are all in walking distance.
