The hotel was neat and clean. My room was very small. The shower leaked terribly. I reported it, but it was not resolved. Breakfast was overpriced. Most of the staff friendly, but one lady was rude. I will check out other hotel options before I stay there again. It is convenient to the old town and to the train station. Nice park across the street.

We are so happy that we stay at the Grand Hotel La Cloche Dijon. It was not even a 10 minute walk from the train station, and a 5 minute walk to our rental car the next day when we explored the surrounding towns and villages. The old section of Dijon is an easy walk from the hotel and there is so much to see and do...restaurants, shopping, churches and museums to see. The hotel is spectacular...the rooms were large with plenty of closet and sitting space, huge and luxurious bathroom, a very nice restaurant for a breakfast buffet each morning with a great selection including eggs, meats, breads, fruits and cheeses.. The bar is open at night and we sat outside in the beautiful garden area sipping on our Kir and wine! The staff was so friendly, and they recommended us to a very good restaurant our last evening. If we go back to Dijon, we will stay here again!

I circled the building twice before recognizing that the hotel was buried under an exterior of scaffolding. MGallery bought this hotel from Sofitel and is in the process of completing a stunning room renovation. Our room was in mint new condition and contained an modern chic bathroom with tub and a separate rain head walk-in shower stall. The bath area was a room unto itself with a clear glass wall and curtain if desired that allow one to peer into the bedroom or bath area. There is also an entry hallway with an interior thick wooden door that provides extra privacy from the toilet and bath-shower rooms as well as hallway sound protection. My TV chair was ultra chic with a full back support and footstool with 360 degree swivel which provided a very relaxing spot to watch the 40" wall mounted flat screen TV. I have never seen amenities this nice at the price level I paid for this room. Make sure you ask for a newly renovated room. We never used our car as everything to see and do is within easy walking distance. One note, the city has installed a new tram service that has blocked and changed the main route to the hotel. The GPS services have not made their adjustments yet, so you will probably be directed by your GPS into a below ground parking garage on your first attempt to find this hotel.
Get into town early on market day to take advantage of the local market. This hotel is very good with good service. Location was great. Ask for the renovated rooms on the 4th floor and one that overlooks the square

Fantastic old hotel building - great location - booked a luxury duplex suite which was very comfortable, excellent furnishings and spotlessly clean. The rest of the experience of the hotel was very disappointing. Shabby and worn furnishings in the bar, disinterested and sometimes hostile staff, very poor breakfast and poor value. Certainly not the 5 star experience suggested.
Well located hotel and loved the valet parking. We were asked to wait half an hour whilst they made up a room in accordance with our requirements. We waited one and a half hours with 2 free coffees to keep us calm. The room which we had was beautifully appointed (newly decorated). The same cannot be said for the public areas of the hotel especially the bar. This was potentially a lovely intimate place but was spoilt by the upholstery on the chairs being filthy and in some places torn. Breakfast was served in a beautiful conservatory area overlooking the garden. However, the buffet was served in a small corner so guests didn't have much room to move and the servers didn't have much idea who was waiting for drinks. The staff were generally very good. This hotel is a 3/4 star at the moment but easily a 5 star in waiting.
I stayed in hotel room No 505 junior suite. First of all, the room was equipped in a very modern style and completely did not fit the old building and its appearance and that’s why it was very uncomfortable. What is more, the room was in the last floor and had mostly roof windows and only one vertical window, without a fully blacked out curtains. Windows spread the light and I could not get a sleep and proper rest. Just because hotel spent a lot of money on super modern fitted bathroom and used an expensive finishing materials in the room, it all becomes worth nothing as a modern designer was not familiar with the specifics of the hotel installation - the windows must be equipped with a fully blacked out curtains. Moreover I could not find room - directory in the room. Due to that, I was too late for a breakfast, who could have thought that they are only until 10 AM. During the check in I was not informed about breakfast time. Taking into account circumstances stated above, the hotel service was poor quality and my stay did not fully meet objective expectation.
